Awesome View of Lake Ashi”
I love Odakyu Hotel De Yama because :- (1) I was assigned Room 307 that provides an awesome view of Lake Ashi. Every morning, when we woke up, we were greeted by the lovely scenery as well as the birds chirping in the background. The garden is nice to stroll along (2) We stayed in a room for 3 persons. So the room is spacious. (3) I love the Drip coffee and the flower flavoured teabags provided by the hotel. (4) There is a COMPLIMENTARY indoor and outdoor Onsen on level 3 for the ladies. The bathroom facilities come with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, facial cleanser and makeup removal. There is a massage chair for us to use as well. Lockers are available for us to put our Yukata and room key. Perfect for a relaxing stay. Onsen operation hours are from 3pm to 12 midnight (5) There are some interesting shopping outlets situated only a stone throw’s away. Lawson and 7-11 (both operated 24 hours) are available nearby. Exceptional”
We enjoyed this hotel tremendously. The only struggle was figuring out how to get to the actual hotel from the bus stop but we called and learned that there is a regular hotel shuttle from Motohakone-ko. The room was spacious and clean. The onsen was amazing, especially the outdoor one. We ate at the French restaurant for dinner and for breakfast the next morning; all food was delicious although a tad pricey. Breakfast was a better value than dinner in our opinion. We HIGHLY recommend you get a massage at the spa. That might have been the highlight of our stay there. So darn relaxing. If we go back to Hakone, we are likely to stay here again.

Lovely lakeside location, hotel is clean and service was perfect. The premium breakfast was four courses and exceptional. We sat on the terrace and drank exquisite coffee while gazing at the lake. Wonderful stay!

The environment is so so so beautiful,air is fresh,greening is great.The hotel is on hill, a little far away from city, we must by bus go there and the nearest bus stop is a little far away from the hotel. We have to walk to the hotel. Food around the hotel is scarce. You could bring your own food.

Wonderful location with lake views in every room”
This was a fantastic place to stay. It had all of amenities— easy access to the train via hotel shuttle or walking, two restaurants, beautiful lake views and gardens, near the shrine, etc. I can’t wakt to come back again!!

Great Stay!”
Overall a great great stay! Breakfast was a normal fixed meal but we enjoyed it! We like the Onsen and the Massage Chair facilities! We rent a car to the hotel so transport is not a problem, there is also shuttle bus. We will definitely be back again.

Glorious view of Mt Fuji from our room”
I was disappointed that our room didnt hv a private onsen. I was probably confused with rush plans as d hotels with nice views of Mt Fuji were in high demand & getting sold out fast. It has a public onsen though. Anyway the Magnificent view of Mt Fuji made up for it. The hydrangeas are set to bloom in 2-3 wks, but still lovely to walk the garden. Location of hotel is very central, nr the Pirate Ship Cruise Pier & other attractions. Frm Narita, we bought Airport LimoBus promo tickets for 4 pax at discounted total price of Jpy8,000. Traveled same day to Shinjuku station, and bought the Hakone 3 day FreePass at Odakyu Sightseeing Center there, there's added surcharge for Romance Train to Hakone Yumoto station, then took bus to MotoHakoneko. A that point hotel shuttle will pick you up. Be prepared for a long journey frm Shinjuku to Odakyu Hotel de yama. Breakfast & dinner as all restos close by 5pm.

Guest should be prohibited to use Phone inside Onsen”
Overall all regarding the Hotel and Staff is Superb. Just got some disturbing experienced from the Onsen. One guest sitting on the massage chair inside the area is using mobile phone. Phone should be prohibited inside the Onsen for security purposes. (if you know what i mean)

What an elegant hotel with great history and amazing view”
Location of this hotel is perfect for get away and relax. Staffs are very helpful and very polite. The beautiful park is magnificently kept. It s so close to Hakone shrine... just 5-10 mins walk from hotel ground. The high tea restaurant has beautiful view of the lake. The room is kept clean in old charm but would be great with brighter lighting, French breakfast was delicious. We wish to revisit again one day.

Beautiful room & view ”
Booked this nice room for our anniversary ; room was perfect in all aspects and very spacious, with nice SPA bath waiting for us ! Very attentive and helpful staff. Only low of this stay was the immediate area is completely dead ! No restaurants or cafe around .. we were very surprised by that ; we did have a car so we drive around to that Yunassen hot water multicolored flavored pools about 20min drive and had great time with kids. The view of the lake from our top f’oor Room was very nice we were a few weeks too early to enjoy the not yet multi color gardens of the hotel .

Lovely location on Hakone Lake”
Great place to stay with a lovely view of Mount Fuji from the garden - wake up early to get a good view. Breakfast is continental style (quite adequate) with a pre-set menu. Very nice Onsen to rest and relax in. Only disadvantage is meals at the hotel are expensive (expect to pay 5000+ yen per person / meal) and alternatives are to go into the nearest town (Motohakone) where all restaurants close very early (between 5 to 6pm). After that you only have the 7-Eleven store that sells Noodle and small bites...

It's an escape to dreamland. The surrounding of the hotel is so beautiful. The hotel itself is clean, comfy and the staff are very polite. But it's the view of the lake and it's surrounding greenery that is awesome.
