Pleasant hotel but not an outstanding value”
Okayama View has a good, central location, near Korakuen Garden & restaurants. However, it is rather hard to find, as it is located on a side street w/minimal signage in English. Lobby is on the 2nd Floor & one must enter the ground floor garage to get to the elevator to the hotel. Staff is very pleasant but the lobby & public spaces are dull, nothing special. Rooms are comfortable & well maintained. Overall, it is an acceptable option but a bit over-priced compared to similar places I have been staying in as I travel around Japan.

Wonderful Value”
Not far off the tram line from the train station, the hotel is around the corner and down the street next to the Starbucks. It was a great value, clean, with the amenities we needed. While not a luxury hotel I would not hesitate to recommend it to family or friends. I would return if ever in Okayama again. I would consider it wonderful for the price. We did not have breakfast but had coffee down the street at a lovely pedestrian arcade.

Good hotel, friendly english speaking staff”
The hotel is 15 mn walking from JR station and 20 mn walking to Okayama castle. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Staff was really friendly, especially as we checked-in at 11 am. Good hotel

in downtown okayama”
The hotel is in downtown okayama, 15 minutes walk from the station. there is a cable car stop very close. The hotel is very close to the gardens and the castle The hotel is quite hard to find because its neon sign is in japanese only. Room was japanese style, very nice but a bit small. Price is quite high, but the hotel is very clean. Guys at the reception spek a very few english. We did nt try the breakfats

Good hotel for a short stay”
The hotel is located a good walk away from the station (which can be by-passed by riding on the street car), but it is also fairly close to tourist attractions like Okayama Castle and Koraku Garden. It's also located near shopping areas and restaurant/bar areas, so it is a good choice to stay for all travelers.

Excellent hotel with modern japanese style rooms”
we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. it was a 15 min walk to the castle and korakuen gardens, and close to shopping areas. we liked our room, it was spacious, it had a modern japanese style with very comfortable futons. we ate dinner in the restaurant and it was a very good experience also. i would definitely choose this hotel again.

now the good things: - the location: in the city center between the station and the touristic area (park and castle). You can go there by tramway or by walk (20min) - free internet access in the lobby - restaurant is very good but no english menu and staff speak little english. I try a menu randomly (the one costing 3500 yen) and it was very good, I would even say exceptional! - staff are nice even they do not speak english - room is clean and convinient - and I had a good price, so good value/money

Quick stop in Okayama”
We only stayed here one night but were happy with the hotel. Rooms were modern, simple and clean & quiet. Would be happy to stay here again. If coming from the station & you have luggage good to get the tram from the station & get off after 2 stops. Korakuen gardens are not far away. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food.

Location and service is good.”
The staff is very nice and provided the warn service to my family. The room is small but in clean condition. The parking fee is accpetable in town centre area. The set breakfast provided but is no choice to select the food and therefore, the buffet breakfast is recommended. I enjoy my staying in hotel although it is only one night.

They are trying to be very helpful especially with transportation with very basic English skills. Providing nice experience with origami for hotel guests. Heavy smoking smell in the entrance.

Nice hotel”
The rooms are very nice, but there is no none smoking option, so unfortunately they smell. The breakfast was very nice in taste, but the buffet is rather small. Furthermore they seemed to handle a different range of class when it came to advising which places to go for diner or food outside the hotel. The location of the hotel is very nice for visiting the center of the city, but it is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the station.

Basic, small room but clean & convenience”
Rooms are small with basic facilities. Location is good. Staff try to be helpful but speak little English. To our surprise, onsen is available in such a small hotel which is good. There's no family room, thus requested connecting rooms in advance if feasible. On arrival, we were being put in 2 corner rooms at different ends (though on the same floor) which was a bit disappointing & unexpected. Hotel could do better by at least arranging the rooms next door.

It’s situated near two main tourist spots. There are also many restaurants around the area. The staff were really nice. There was no water provided but there were vending machines and a convenience store nearby.

Reception tried to help but oh so small”
difficult to locate for english speakers as the big blue sign standing out on the street was in japanese. close to the bus station but a tram ride from the jr station. we got quite wet finding this place down a side street. the usual small bathroom but attractive bedroom space and good nights sleep. no probs minding luggage while we went to kurachiki

I needed an overnight safe stop- and got it, but I wasn't prepared for the stale smoke smell of my room. There was minimal English spoken amongst any of the staff I encountered. The positives were closeness to the castle and famous gardens, that's it for Yokohama!
