Exceptional service and superb hospitality!”
My time there at Guesthouse JUN was nothing but a wonderful experience. Host Takeru was a wonderful help and also really nice to us, whether it's bringing us to the conbini, giving us additional information, or just having a long talk about the history and culture of the small city. The place was really clean and cozy, waking up to the lake is such a beautiful feeling. Only thing to take note is everything around the guesthouse closes early like many outskirts of Japan, so prepare your dinner early~!

New and clean hostel with good facilities”
A very nice and new hostel. Everything is really clean and the facilities are food. You can use the kitchen and the nice common room in which the people were sitting in the evening and in the morning so that I could meet other people travelling, which was very nice.

Clean and good location ”
Lake chuzenji is just right behind about 5 min walk from the hostel. There's a famous tonkatsu restaurant (Tonkatsu Asai) with long queue during the day. I went half an hour right before It closes at 7pm and I only waited for 20 min. Good that the restaurant Is so near to the hostel. The location is good too which is about 10 min walk to the chuzenji lake bus terminal. And there's also a tobu bus stop right in front of the hostel which can bring you to Yumoto onsen. 1 bad point is the bag drop close at 10am and check in only at 4pm. In between those timing the premise is closed and you will have no choice but drop your luggage at the coin locker available at Chuzenji bus terminal.

The place was super clean, and the host was friendly and went the extra mile to make us feel at home. It's a great location to explore what Nikko has to offer in terms of nature and hikes as well. Would recommend!

I'm so happy with my choice to stay with Okunikko Guesthouse JUN. The guesthouse is situated in the most idyllic location with serene views from all windows. The facilities are the best I've used at any guesthouse and the hospitality was amazing. I will be back for sure.

Lovely Guesthouse”
It is difficult to find a budget accommodation in Lake Chuzenji so finding this place is a blessing. The location is great and walking distance from the bus stop, lake cruise and for any other activities you want to do in Lake Chuzenji. The place is spotless clean and has the right amenities for a guesthouse, but what I want to highlight is the lovely interiors. It has spacious chic-style interiors that gives a relaxing aura and the facilities are comfortable. Last but not the least, the owner is very helpful.

Friendly, welcoming, and clean”
There are clean dorms and facilities. The staff were very welcoming and happy to help with anything I wanted. You can clearly see lake Chūzenji from the windows as it's only 1 street from the beach from. The only negative is, as with most rural areas in Japan, most shops close around 5pm so dinner choices are very limited

冲着湖景去的 从窗户望湖特别美。 设施齐全 干净 屋里很暖和 老板和老板的朋友们很热情 (甚至还会讲中国话! 交通方面 可以坐Y YK公交车到「船の駅中禅寺湖」 下车上一个平台 步行三分钟就到了 周边饭馆关门比较早 下午五六点就没有啦 下午到达的话 记得带上干粮 中国語に書いて すみません。 楽しかった。ありがとうございました。
