Unforgettable with breathtaking views! A Love for Details like no other! In my eyes a 5* Hotel! <3”
I wanna go there again! It has lovely rooms, a clean and fun pool, even a basketball court...and romantic corners everywhere! Anyone who stays there, will not regret it! As a German...I need to complain about one thing...the breakfast could be a buffet^^...but the one we had was very tasty nonetheless! Just a bit small, for people who love to eat^^! Other than that, great restro, awesome staff, super clean rooms, cute decoration and then some....

Exceptional”
We loved our stay in Salamagui Casita. It's very spacious, clean and recently renovated, close to the Cafe and the path to the beach. We were all five when we went there, 3 adults and 2 kids ages 4 and 9. Our kids enjoyed the pool, the beach is 395 steps down the property. We loved the island hopping tour, please don't miss it, its truly worth it.

Exceptional”
We loved and enjoyed our stay. Don't miss the chance to book their island tour, the experience was nice the kids loved polipol and surip beaches however our boatmen that day were not able to let us swim in Patar beach as they said the way is too rocky for their boat to reach, the manager said maybe the boatmen who brought us were not yet familiar with the route but its a must see as they say its the Boracay of the North.

Disconnect to Rceonnect”
as the receptionist said you have to disconnect to the outside world to reconnect with your loved ones. that is what happened during our stay since there is barely a flicker of network signal nor wifi, we are left without a choice but to enjoy ourselves and everything Oldwoods have to offer. The beach is nearly private as the shore is hared by I think only three properties and u can have it to your own since its quite a steep climb back most guest prefer to stay within the close amenities. I would love the beach house (owners unoccupied private beach house to be converted to either accommodation or a small restaurant to cater to their beach goer which gives it a great private beach/resort vibe. not much of guest on a weekend since location is a little isolated but for me its the selling factor. rooms are very spacious. would definitely return! oh I should mention that THE STAFF ARE REALLY GREAT. they never seem to get tired and is very much willing to help even before you ask!

A very good place away from city life”
The room is clean, the food is good although you do not have other choices since the location is far from other restaurants, the staff are very accomodating, the ambiance is perfect. The cons are the beach is OK, because is not that clean but swimmable and far from the hotel, like you need to climb a mountain trail; and no wifi and most of the time no cellphone signal but in a way good so you can really appreciate nature.

A Nice, Off the Beaten Path, Family Vacation Spot”
We booked 2 Family Superior Rooms at this resort. The price of the rooms were a bit pricey but because the reviews were "Very Good", we tried to spend our family bonding there. I used Google Maps to navigate, although the place was easy to locate due to the adequate signage. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Our rooms were located near the covered court and swimming pool. The rooms were quite small with 2 double beds, side tables, and 2 chairs. The rooms were adequately air-conditioned (split-type) with 2 additional wall fans. It has a 32-inch flat screen TV with cable channels, a personal ref and a safety deposit box. The towels and linens were quite old, but fresh. There is no hot and cold shower, but the water flowing out of the shower was very warm. We were given free basic toiletries. Near our building was a large covered court with a basketball court, a ping-pong table, and a badminton court. The balls and rackets can be borrowed free of charge.

Very good place to bond”
Due to lack of network (phone and net) it gives the visitors time to bond. They have movie theatre, badminton court and table tennis. A lot of outdoor tables .. Pool is child safe. Beach area is clean and a lot of marine life activities (live starfish, school of fishes of different kinds and sizes)😻 what could improve though is the breakfast buffet.. limited options and would appreciate if it is more Filipino cuisine to complete the package - nature and culture

Unexpected. Paradise lost.”
Did not imagine a place like Oldwoods existed in the area. Fun experience. Staff were not perfect but helpful. Wish the rooms could be more soundproofed. 5am in the morning, the other guests were so noisy you can't sleep. The place is recommended when you are with big group.

A nice retreat from all the busy-ness of life.”
This is a hidden gem in Pangasinan. The view of the sea is wonderful. There are also a lot of trees in the area. It was relaxing being one with nature and the sounds of different birds during twilight was very peaceful. The room we got was massive. The decoration was rustic and they had a lot of antiques. There was also a pool with warm water and a jacuzzi. They also have a movie theater, a game area, and sports area. They also offer other activities such as biking and boating. The food is also tasty. The only downside is that it's really far. There's about a 500m rough road to the resort. The other downside is that it requires to trek down to go to the beach area and the beach is not suitable to swin in.

Quiet and relaxing place, but needs improvement”
+ quiet and relaxing with lots of plants and trees. Rooms are big and comfortable, though not all are easily accessible (for seniors and pwd's). There really is no network signal or wifi, but that was clearly specified in the property details. Staff are nice and friendly, though some are not too quick to respond (i'm assuming they are still under training as they're in white uniforms) - upon check-in I was informed that they are only serving the buffet for dinner, no ala carte orders. It was like forced into us since it's not easy to get in and out of the resort to buy food from elsewhere. Also limited food selection. And if you want the beach, this is not the place for you.

Rainy Bani weekend”
We went there on a rainy / stormy day in June 2018. The kids still enjoyed the pool, they enjoyed the rain forest views despite the long ride to the hotel. The views are nice. on the downside, we did not get to the beach. The nearby beach has residents and a small community. I hope the LGU would have means to clean up the bay side. Garbage is accummulating in the area since the community doesnt have a solid waste collection in place due to the area being a remote one.

Dec 2018 visit”
We went here for a double birthday celebration of my son and my in-law. The place was quite and huge with lots of instagramable spots and there were just another 2 couples when we checked in so it feels like we had the place to ourselves. A few problems we encountered are: weak water pressure both in rooms and public toilets. Big hungry mosquitoes! Slippery pool tiles (my in law slipped). Hard to climb stairs to go to the nearby beach which is not even worth visiting because of the rocky shore you can't swim in. And the climb back is just a torture especially in our case with a senior and a 3 yr old kid. Oh they have DVD players in our room, and we were allowed to borrow CDs for free but CDs are overused and just full of scratch the movies skipped or stopped playing. No internet at that time, cant remember but no signal as well I think(?) Still recommend it for the quiet escape it could provide those who wants that type of vacation.

Above average”
Felt very disappointed during our stay. We decided to just rest on the first day. On the second day, we went to the beach and they were supposed to fetch us before 10AM. But no one fetched us. So my husband had to leave me and walk back alone since I am pregnant. No available vehicle to fetch us, so he had to fetch me using our car. We returned to the resort around quarter to 12 so we were not able to swim anymore.

This isn’t for kids & elders. Going to beach requires long walks or 395 steps from a steep hill. ”
Pros - Scenic views of the ocean. Quiet place to rest as you’re in the middle of forest. Cons- 1) The stairs are not kid & elder friendly. 2) You only have two options Going to the beach - either you take 395 steps from a steep heel, Or ask their van to drop you off in a plaza that’s 10-15 mins walk from the beach. 3) The beach is really rocky, and far from the resort. 4) The Pool area is slippery. 5) Food’s more expensive than manila. 6) Travel is too long , with dangerous cliffs, you need to travel at least 1hr to get a decent restaurant outside the resort. Overall, expensive considering these factors. But if you need to tune out of the digital world, stay here bec there’s no network.
