New Or Newbie?”
I booked One Hive Hotel and Suites. I specifically requested for airport transfer, that trip being my first to Surigao City. The hotel looks impressive on pictures, its location plus availability of hotel transfer (as stated in hotel info) made me chose One Hive over other hotels. We arrived at the airport on time. Hotel representatives lined near the arrival gate but there was none fetching us. We waited for minutes until the place was almost empty of passengers. Luckily for us, a driver of other hotel services offered to drive us right into our accommodation. The hotel looked new, the lobby was very small. The check-in though was fairly fast and I commend the lady manning the reception counter for courtesy and efficiency. She considered the soft copy of our itinerary; my failure to make a print before leaving Manila. There was elevator for convenience, cctv cameras for added security, the room was small but clean and cool. Sleep quality was good. The restaurant at the second floor offers Japanese and Korean cuisine. The following morning though, the lady at the reception counter at the lobby was not as smart and helpful. Except for its central location, this facility needs more room for improvement.

First Time”
It is my first time to stay overnight in Surigao City and this place is fair for me. Price is right, location is in downtown Surigao so access to transportation is available. The room is very small for a group of 3, installing the extra bed will leave you a very few space. You cant even fully open the door when the extra bed is up. They offer free breakfast, but their tocino is so small! I could have opted for another meal. :(

It's our 2nd stay here. Location is very ideal, close to Luneta Park, and just about 10-minute walk to the public market. The rooms are very clean. We rented 2 Bumble rooms and requested for 1 extra bed for each room. We probably should have booked for a larger room because the Bumble rooms were ideal for only 2 people. With 3 of us in one room, there's no more space to move around. Staff were very accommodating. I also appreciated that they put a sticker on the bathroom mirror saying the water was not potable. It's a nice gesture especially for those who have sensitive stomachs. Just disappointed that there was no kettle as we usually drink coffee 1st thing in the morning before we get ready for breakfast. No hair dryer, too.

Convenient place to stay one night”
Quite a modern little hotel, but wouldn’t stay there again for the price. The small room gave me a cramped feeling, and the bedside lamp was missing a lightbulb. There was only a small window quite some distance from the room, with the aircon in an in-between space. The next day I found a cozier, more spacious room in a nearby hotel which was P400 cheaper.

Disappointing Service at the Front desk”
Good Hotel especially located at the heart of the City, facilities were good but Front Desk attendants are incompetent, this is an unsolicited advice but I think management should set protocols regarding Key cards, I thought it would be nice to inform the guests that they need to update the key card everyday upon check in especially those who are booked for a couple of days so that they would not experience going to the 5th Floor and go back down because the key card won't work or wasn't updated....another disappointment was that my request with AGODA was not granted yet AGODA has responded that my request was approved days before only to be disappointed upon check in that they could not grant my request because of some miscommunication with the staff that received my booking from AGODA... ..it was a disappointment but staff are friendly and apologetic so it was all good...I just hope future guest won't experience my misadventure...

Staff must be resilient and considerate.”
The staffs were accommodating but when my guest checked in they are asking the whole sheet of the Booking ID. Please orient your staff that the booking ID is correct and with the name of the guest is tallied they should let them checked in because they came from very far place. Thank you
