Low key hotel in Al Ain”
I had a lovely short getaway in the Al Ain Faida hotel. Niche hotel with tasteful old school furnishings. Food is VERY good valu efor money but the Swimming pool is a semi public one though - they have memberships for locals and swim teams visiting and training there.

Clean but ramshackle”
The photos are very old, the hotel, while fab in it's day, is quite decerped. Many implements are damaged and in disrepair. The room is clean and comfortable but not really 3 star standard. The mountains around it are amazing but there is nothing else except one restaurant anywhere near. Staff are friendly and accommodating though.

Unmaintained Atmosphere, but a great location for peace and quiet”
It wasnt the best hotel as it used to be but I'd like to look at the perks of booking this place. If you want big rooms/bathrooms, own villa-type room with a big balcony to do your bbq and arent picky with the "unmaintained" atmosphere, then this is the best location for a good getaway. Its good enough to make ample noises and AWAY from all the hustle and bustle of the city! :)

Disappointed”
We booked a two bedroom villa because we are staying the night with my whole family. During the check-in at the reception, we were asked a refundable deposit of four hundred dirhams for two rooms. I have been into several hotels in fujairah and abu dhabi, and this is the first time i was asked to deposit an amount. Going to the villa was a 5 minute drive, and there was a guard who stop us at the entrance, asking how many we are. I told them we are 8 people in 2 separate cars. And he said, only 5 people were allowed in a room. And i told him, yes, we are 8 people, in a 2 bedroom villa. I dont know if the guard can understand my english as he keep on insisting the 5 people in a room rule. I was planning to return to the reception but, the guard, to my surprise, open the barrier for us to go through. The villa was big enough for us, though, its already old and not properly maintain. There was only 1 toilet, without kitchen.

You will not be able to sleep”
Guest are too noisy, moving furniture in the room above us they were awake until 5 am. You can hear everything in the hotel, no insulation at all. Very Old furniture, definitely overdue for renovation. Wifi signal was very weak in our room. Service is bad, asked 2 times for ironing machine then I just gave up. One good thing is they gave us late check-out until 4 pm, which we really needed with the noisy neighbors.

Never Again”
From the delayed check in to check out, this was an experience. The park next to the parking area has open garbage bags laying around, great first impression! The staff couldn't find my reservation and delayed my booking in process. Then staff wanted to come and do repairs on my room, while I was occupying it. Every time I would leave the room I was asked "Are you checking out" General repairs were being done while guests were sleeping, 9am in the morning during Ramadan. This Hotel must have been the place to stay 40 years ago, now not so much. All rooms need to be brought up to a current standard, they are aged and dark. Request anything from reception and expect to wait at least 40 minute, like an Iron and ironing board. Furniture was stained with what I hope was water stains, surely this could have been cleaned! They claim they have 3 stars, well that is overstated by at 4 to many. STAY AWAY

Clean comfortable friendly accommodation.”
One to One Hotel served our purpose which was to be close to the wadi wave pool in Al Ain. The staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel room was quite large and very clean with very comfortable bed. Breakfast served in dining was buffet and plentiful.

Unique hotel close to natural attractions”
The One-to-One boutique hotel chain is just starting to rennovate this hotel/resort complex on the outskirts of Al Ain. There's lots of work still to be done and huge development potential, but so far, so good. Service was friendly and helpful, if a little inexperienced, and the breakfast and dinner buffets offered a good variety of tasty dishes. We had to ask for certain standard room ameneties, including a waste bin, to be provided, but the ommissions were quickly and cheerfully rectified. The hotel's main drawback is that it is not well served by taxis or other forms of public transportation. A private or rental car is highly recommended.

very quiet and relaxing place”
The hotel is very close to some attraction places in Al Ain city (Haffit mountain , green Mabazara , zoo, etc.). The two rooms villa is good and suitable for families who prefer privacy.

A pleasant stay away from the City”
This hotel isn't in Al Ain but rather 20 - 25 Km away from the city centre a good 20 - 25 minutes in a taxi. There is a bus 990 that goes right to the Hotel from the City centre and you can't miss the stop as the bus goes into the compound. It only costs 2 Durhams and it runs every half an hour. There is a wonderful circular canal you can spend 20 minutes walking around near the old boating lake and part ofthe \hotel's extended grounds. It is beautiful at sunset. The swimming pool must be 30 metres long and is excellent. Breakfast is very good, but not cheap. All in all a great place if you want to be away from the City for a few days. .

A good budget hotel”
I had a much better stay last summer when I stayed in a villa. Perhaps because of having so many issues this time with the barely useable "free" internet. It worked about 30% of the time-which was pretty inconvenient and annoying. In the villa, I had no such issues. There are a few things that I think management could improve that would make a better overall impression right away:#1 With so many people working at the hotel, the grounds should be tidy all the time. Garbage in the parking lot is gross- problem solve this when you have special events. #2 The nice front fountain actually stinks. I'm almost certain the water creates the unpleasant smell around the front of the main hotel when it's very hot and I'm not sure if this is responsible for the foul small in the front office but it was stinky in there too (like garbage). #3 Fix the internet issue. Put a router in every room of the hotel, if necessary. You can't boast "free internet" when it hardly ever works. #4 This is not a luxury hotel but it is comfortable and (for the most part) clean. Why not make sure that the bathroom grout, shower curtains, tiles are free of soap scum, dirt, etc. That being said- I think the housekeeping staff does an OK job. It would be better to make a checklist of items that should always be in a room- especially for guests who are staying for several days/weeks. These items include: towels, water, soap, etc. Also, I'm not sure why the front desk staff seems so much more less friendly these days but there does seem to be a shift in the culture there and should be attended to. Guests want to feel valued, accepted and warmly received. Not smiling or solving problems is not going to motivate people to return. Obvious renovations have been made to the resort (which is huge). I think if there was a greater investment to fix these issues and make the property more modern will draw guests who don't want to be in the center of Al Ain.

family vacation”
It was good vacation for the whole family specially the kids. We have couple of notice, we were in 2 bedroom villa, if it was with 2 bathroom it would be perfect. Second, trees in back yard need to be cut or trimmed. Last if you can provide the guests with full activities table (like what to do or what actives we have) with timing and prices in the rooms or hand it to them up on check in, so they can plan their stay, and enjoy their time in the hotel. Overall we had good time and the hotel crew were very supportive. Note: we had 7 villas with 2 bedrooms. Kind regards Abdulla Al-Shabibi
