The transport make a difference to the place - we visited zao ropeway and 2 of they sister hotel onsen. Must go to the sisters onsen as it was really nice and quiet and has outdoor views. We loved the dinner and breakfast too and the front counter is really helpful although they do not speak the language

Unclear Check-Out Instruction”
Beautiful hotel photos with great reviews on Agoda brought me a one night stay at this hotel. Everything was as expected except the staff's unclear instructions throughout the stay. I would blame it all on the language barrier. With very limited Japanese ability, I followed the note from the front desk and found myself land in the wrong cafe for breakfast. The waiter there guided me to the correct location by saying the note is wrong written. Later I was about to check out, walking toward to the 1st floor front desk and stopped by a male staff in the middle of the route. He quickly took away my keys and gave me a LOOK with weird facial expression by saying "the check out time has passed" (in Japanese of course) which I barely understood what he is trying to say but merely feel being blamed like a kid from his look.I searched thoroughly from the note given at check in with NO checkout time written. Remembered I was only told to come to the lobby wait for my return shuttle at 11:15 am.

Excellent Ryokan near Zao”
The place is located about a 10 min walk to the nearest ski lift, has two hot springs that were excellent after a day of skiing. The dinner was exceptional, with fresh meats, sashimi, soups, veggies. There are a couple of massage chairs in the lounge, that were utilized by me a lot. The rooms were large and the tatami futons were actually very comfortable and I slept great. The only problem, is the staff has very limited english but they try their best.

Very disappointing stay at this inn. Way overpriced. Food served in large noisy room. Food quality was fine but not comparable to cost. Room was very noisy at 6 to 7 am from tables being moved. Bath was small and undistinguished. Staff spoke no English. No shoes allowed or provided. Countless internal stairs in this poorly designed hotel. Nothing good to say about this place. Worst ryokan of many that. We stayed at over many years. Avoid this place unless you're coming to ski.

駐車場から旅館の入口までの急な坂は、なかなかキツかったけど全体的に趣があってよかった。 お部屋からの景色はほぼ見えず残念でした。 お部屋のテレビも故障していて点いたり消えたり、、フロントに電話したらすぐに新しいテレビと交換して下さったのでよかったです。 温泉が入り口の所にしかないので、奥の部屋だと遠くて迷子になりそうでした、、。 食事はお腹いっぱいになる程で大満足でした！ お米が美味しくておかわりしてしまいました😅 ぜひ、また泊まりたいと思います！

此旅館停車場要行50米斜路才到門口，早晚餐很差，沒有升降機，要手拿行上梯級到房間。入住時，職員有協助拿行李，但退房時，自己拿了兩件行李，要求職員從房間外拿另一件行李下來，該男職員名字Motoki竟拒絕，唯有自己拿。從未遇過這麼差服務的溫泉酒店。極不指推薦這酒店給朋友。Agda應寫清楚該酒店的客人需自行行梯級搬行李，

房間和公共設施都不錯，但浴場只開放一個小圓溫泉，需要到附近泡別的溫泉，但距離都不遠，可以跟前台拿抵用卷。晚餐很好吃，牛肉入口即化，清酒也很好喝，價錢合理。前台人員的英文能加強就更好了。

1.飯店位置離巴士站走路約10分鐘，去程充滿大斜坡，自推行李非常辛苦。 2.飯店無電梯，行李需自扛至2-3樓，行李多者請多考量 3.若有需要接駁巴士往返山形車站，請一定要三天前預約，未三天前預約者，完全不給搭乘，沒有彈性空間。 4.冬天露天溫泉沒開放，室內溫泉泉質不錯，建議選擇其他飯店有開放露天溫泉。 5.些許房間內部無浴室，建議訂房前需看仔細 6.早晚餐豐富，是可以吃得飽 7.雪季入住CP值低，一晚含早餐約8千多台幣，會有其他更好的選擇 8.室內設施只有溫泉，無販賣牛奶，販賣機也是壞的，建議從外面帶進去 9.櫃台人員服務熱枕低，感受較差
