We had a 14+ hour layover in the airport and this hotel was extremely expensive but worth it. The one downside is that they do not offer hourly rates (apparently that was something in the past) and you have to pay for a full night's stay even if you don't utilize it for 24 hours. However, facilities are incredibly clean and we were astounded at how quiet it was despite being in the middle of the airport. Nothing was better than sleeping on a comfortable bed between two 9 hour flights. Would definitely book again.

Perfect spot for a long layover”
We had a 14 hour layover (mostly overnight) so decided to book into the Oryx to avoid the hassle of trying to leave the aiport and ensure we got a better nights sleep. The room was great, really clean and modern and very comfortable beds. As a guest, you get complimentary access to the pool and spa too ($35pp for non-guests). The reception staff were great at check in. They need to see your ongoing boarding pass for your booking but this also means they can advise you on what time to check out to walk the required distance to your gate. If we are ever passing through Doha Airport again with a long layover, will be booking into the Oryx again.

Perfect Stay for a Long Layover”
If you're lucky enough to pass through Hamad International Airport and have a long-ish layover, there's nothing more convenient and comfortable than staying in the Oryx Airport Hotel. Upon arriving at 30 minutes before midnight, I quickly passed through the transfer security check and then, within minutes, was in my very beautiful, clean, spacious, and, most importantly, super quiet room (literally, so quiet you would never know that you're sleeping in the middle of an airport). The bed was so comfortable, the rain shower was an absolute luxury, and the added touches (free coffee, tea, water) were most appreciated. Since my flight out the next day wasn't until later in the afternoon, I also took advantage of the Vitality Centre facilities – got a massage (hotel guests get 15% off on spa services) and then soaked in the hydrotherapy tub for 30 minutes. Who knew you could have such peace and calm in the middle of an airport? Hands down, this was a wonderful experience!

Clean, quite, worth the money!”
Our family of four had an 8 hr layover at Doha Int'l Airport. Despite of be eligible for Al Mourjan Business Lounge, we decided to book a family room at Oryx Airport Transit Hotel. The room has 1 queen bed and 2 full-size beds. The hotel (and the room) is impeccably clean and quite. We were able to unwind, took a hot shower, and had a good few hours of sleep before getting onto our next flight. Much, much better rest than we would have gotten in Al Mourjan lounge. The room rate was kind of pricy but I think it was worth every penny. Would definitely do it again.

9hrs In Doha”
I spent 9hrs in Doha on the way home from Sri Lanka. Because my layover was 11:00 pm - 8:00 am, I decided to book a room. I booked my stay well in advance of my trip and I am happy I did. On the day of my stay room prices nearly doubled for those without a reservation. The staff was very warm, inviting, and professional. The room was clean, comfortable and modern, but most importantly quiet. I was able to rest, grab a quick bite, and head to the spa on the fourth floor. Having a massage before a 16hr flight was wonderful! I had a great therapist from Tanzania, named Corrine (I believe). I would highly recommend this hotel. If not for it's convenient location inside the airport, it's also a great comfortable place to land during long layovers between destinations.

Decent room at the airport ”
We have a connecting flight at Doha and opt the oryx airport which is located in the terminal. No need to go thru immigration, just have to go thru security check as normal for transit passengers. Due to Covid, staying here is more relevant as we are not subject to pcr although hotels just outside airport is 50% cheaper. Overall good stay if transit time is long especially with young kids like us.

Best Transit Hotel ”
Located in the main Hub of Doha Airport near the shops and Qatar Airways lounges. There is a second airport hotel near the new garden, but they do not take reservations. I've stayed many times. Always clean. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Great gym.

With COVID lockdowns, couldn't leave airport so had planned a room (DO make reservation). Hotel was packed, but they got my room ready by 8:00. Room was modern/nice, clean and completely quite, despite the window to the madness of the airport below (screened by architectural element). Staff was extremely responsive and courteous. Well done! We had a 22 hr layover at Doha. Booked a deluxe king room. The room was spacious, extremely comfortable and well appointed amenities. Very conveniently located close to the duty free shopping and the food court. The staff was amazing. Would highly recommend for a long transit period.

Absolutely OK as a transit hotel, flawless stay”
My family (wife, twin 4 years daughters and me) spent here 1 night waiting for next day morning flight. Check in was 4 minutes, well prepared. We booked through Agoda (we could not book directly, because according to the Hotel's own website there was no room available), and paid in advance. The room was quiet, clean, size is OK, bathroom was spacious and clean, WIFI worked well (no password), There was still room service at 01:00 am (food was good). Beds were comfortable, beddings were clean and fresh. Telephone worked well, it was easy to call an other room or room service. Check-out was 30sec (handing over the key card of the room). It was perfect as a transit hotel. The only minor issues were that the TV did not work, and when I moved the solo bed (we were in a family room) to put it right next to the double bed, I realized that the bed was not moved since the grand opening of the hotel, and there was incredible amount of dust on the floor under it. But you never notice it, unless you push the bed from its original place. Maybe it is time for a thorough clean-up.

Great for a hassle free transit”
It really helped to stay rested during a long trip. We had a room that was very far from the reception and there was no say in which room you get. Also, no breakfast, other facilities we could not use unless we had a whole day, so I think that shouldn’t really be included in the price.

Although on the expensive side (but honestly show me an airside transit hotel that isn't), amazingly clean, well soundproofed and definitely worth 5*. I'm usually a bit wary of airport transit hotels, ranging from dimly lit 'caves' to noisy and unclean however no such worries here. Highly recommended and my only tip is to book in advance if possible, don't turn up at the desk hoping to get some rest, you'll either have no luck or find it's only the expensive top of the range rooms left.

First Time Using Agoda”
Nice discount using Agoda on this pricey airport hotel. Friendly staff said they upgraded us. Room was nothing fancy but was super clean and exceptionally well maintained. It had solid wood flooring, huge walk-in shower, double sinks and a view of the busy airport shopping area. I highly recommend.
