although other people rated this hotel as bad and worst, it's actually great!The value of the rooms were really worth it! It's really cheap but you get a lot of free services; they have free wifi, water, use of microwave but what I like the most was the free use of the bicycles. I went around Osaka using it, making it easier for me and cheaper since trains are a bit expensive. The staff were really friendly and they can communicate with you; if you have problems, you can always search it on the net how to say it since there's wifi. -it's rather clean. Based from the reviews of other people, I was expecting cockroaches and very old and dirty place but it was nice. The rooms were clean (except that their futons are a bit deformed, just bring your own pillow case). They have slippers that you should wear around the hotel. For people who will only sleep and rest at the hotel, it's really worth it. If you want luxurious hotels, this is not for you. -It's easy to find because it's infront of the station ; although I got lost at first not knowing the way, the Japanese residents were kind to help me and my friend (mind you that it was midnight). They even helped us carry our luggage and went out of their way to help us. It's close to certain tourist places such as nipponbashi, dotonbori,and many other places.You can bike it. It's technically safe! It may be considered as slums, but it's too good to be a slum... - THEY ARE NICE AND GENEROUS! everynight, they will give snacks to those who are using the wifi at the lobby for free. I dont know how to explain but they are definitely kind! Actually, the hotel is old but the construction is nice. It's big but not spacey. There's few spaces to move in but you can manage -The bathroom is shared but for the ladies who are worried, worry not! you can take a bath by yourself because you can lock the door! When you need something, you can always ask the staff and they'll try to do their best to provide it for you. I recommend it!

Had a great time staying there. (4 Nights) The Place is clean and everything works. The bed was very comfortable and even though I was sleeping in huge dorm room I had no problem falling asleep or felt that there is nor enough space. The owner is pretty cool guy and gives the hole place a more friendly and welcoming experience. We talked about different things in the area, he taught me some Japanese and even bought me new Breakfast after my first one burned! Only negative things are that it’s not the most social place to meet other travelers, everything is very private even though you are staying in big dorm. All in all a good place to visit when staying in Osaka!

To be honest it was pretty ok for me. It's afterall 2 stops away from namba station (yoshibashi line/aka blue line) Cleanliness at common area wasn't ideal but I got to help clean up a bit and it's all good. Room is japanese style with good aircon and wifi. The only down side is that the pillow they provide is small and not very comfortable but luckily I got my own so that's not so much of an issue. There are 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets so you will never need to queue for shower. People staying here is pretty nice. Overall I love the location and feel it is suitable for people whose traveling solo or long term stay.

I have been to Osaka many times and so far this is the best hotel with the best value for money and right outside Exit#8 of Osaka Dobutsuenmae station in Midosuji Line. The male staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room is clean and very comfortable with all non-smoking rooms. I actually came back today 8-18-2017 and staying at the same hotel before my flight to Manila and Kuala Lumpur. I will definitely come back here next time.

We stayed for 3 nights in japanese style room. It wasn't that big but it's perfect for one person. The pillow was quite interesting because if you feel it by hand it has hard beads inside, but if you lay your head down on the pillow, it's quite comfortable. It's a few minute walk from shin imamiya station, after you alight the train from the airport.just go down stairs, you'll see sun hotel beside the station, just cross the street and head straight, then turn left on the 2nd street. It's not that difficult to find. Though we did see homeless people around, but they're harmless. We arrived ariund 11pm, i thought we're going to have a problem. But they accomodated us and confirmed our booking. I recommend the japanese style room if you plan to stay there. We only paid 400-500 dollars per person for 3 nights. It's a pretty good deal. Bathrooms are shared though. But it isnt a problem because they are never crowded and they're pretty clean. They also dont have a curfew, so you don't have to worry about getting back late. It's really a good deal.

It was cool when I get my single tidy japanese style room with only 20~30 bucks. They say the area around the hotel is very dangerous. It would be correct. The area looked like so, very many homeless around, stinky walls, dark street. But it wasn't bad staying at the hotel. First, the staffs were very kind so I could felt a kind of relief. Second, the room looked so typical as Japanese. If you came to travel to Japan, I recommend to stay this kind of room. It has even shared bath. Of course, the hotel, business hotel, is not as luxury as any other twinkling ones. But you can have unique experience qith only 20~30 bucks a night. The hotel has some kind of vices like only one bath which should take a time for each gender.

We can't rave enough about this hostel in and up and coming part of south Osaka! If you use a JR pass it's about 15 min from Shin Imamiya station. If you use the subway, it's about 10 min from Dobutsuen Mae station. The community is a little rough around the edges, but we felt totally safe walking in the area. The hostel gives you a book about the area's history along with some nice tea and cookies when you first show up. This place is an artist's dream! There is art everywhere on the walls, there is an outdoor garden, inside there is a guitar and piano to play, and they even started hosting special music events. That being said, it's not noisy at all and everything is very well kept and clean. You have individual shower rooms, which is nice, and some of the nicest Japanese toilets we've seen. Rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors (no elevator, just stairs), and the 4th floor has an open air rooftop with washer/dryer. Towels are 1 yen each. Would definitely stay again!

valuable place with a great hospitality from the owner. If you came before 15.00, you'll meet another lady that can't speak english well but still be very helpful (thanks to the translator apps). We can put our luggages before check in. But the owner speaks fluent english. She explained very well about the facilities. We stayed at Gate80 for 2 nights. It's near the tsurugaoka station (only 2 minutes walk! and there's a mini market at the station.) and about 5 minutes walk to nishitanabe station (but make sure you know which station you need to enter. Different direction will need diferent entrance. To Namba, you should walk accross the street first.) The shower room and toilet in Gate80 is very clean. In the ladies shower room there are 4 shower room. They also have a hairdryer. We stayed at the double bed at the mix dormitory. We found it still comfortable for 2 people. The storage corner is kinda small, but we manage to safe what we need in our locker (so we won't need to open our luggage very often). We'll surely come back to stay at gate80 if we come to Osaka again (and we really hope soon).

You truly get what you paid for, all worth! The location is about 8 mins. walk from Hanazonocho station of Yotsubashi Line. Instructions of self check-in is clear and they have allowed us to early check-in our luggage which we appreciated much. The room is good for 4 persons, clean, and the facilities are all great. I only noticed unstable internet connection, other than that, I highly recommend the hotel in Osaka for group travelers. Thank you Grandouce Hanazonocho for the experience, keep it up.

The host was very interactive. She give us update and fast reply on our enquiries. Location is very close to the station. There is a small tatami room that fits upto 4 people using futon and single bed and sofa bed. The bathroom is a little cramp though. Cooking facilities is a plus. We did have problem getting the key because the lock looks too old. But overall, we enjoyed our stay.

In fact, I had been lived in JP for 1 year when living in Osaka for 1 month. But here is my first time to stay a totally different accommodation; Near Abeno train station, 2-stair Japan traditional house, well designed details, free application for kitchen, funny and kind house keeper, etc. My family were all loving this place because we had a cozy and chill day here. It will be recommended that you will stay here if you come to Osaka. You bet, I will.

PROS : 1. Good location : near 2 subway lines (Midosuji & Sakaisuji lines) that take you to the major attractions and shopping hubs in Osaka; near the JR loop line, & Nankai main line that connects KIX to central Osaka. From KIX, alight at Shin Imamiya station, and the hotel is about a 5-min walk from there. Being a first time solo traveler, I was also hesitant at first because the area is known to have a considerable number of homeless people, and not to mention the turf of 2 yakuza groups. I arrived at about past 10 pm, made my way to the hotel, but I never felt any danger whatsoever. :) It is also close to a convenient store, a 100-yen shop, and some nearby local restaurants. 2. Clean and comfortable rooms, equipped with TV, mini ref, aircon/ heater, hair dryer. The hotel is fairly new and so are their amenities. My room was at the 10th floor, which gave me an excellent view of the city. The hotel offers laundry services as well. 3. Well equipped bathroom. They provide towels, bathrobe, toothbrush & toothpaste, room sandals, shampoo & soap. Hot shower available, and a bath tub to boot! Maybe a bit cramped for very tall people, but that wasn’t really a problem for me. :) 4. Excellent staff. Well-versed in English, polite, efficient and will go out of their way to serve your needs. 5. Free stuff! Cold bottle of water when you check in, free coffee/tea all day, free use of lockers when you check out and want to leave your luggage until your flight, free & fast wi-fi connection, free use of kitchen & computers at the lobby. CONS : A bit hard to locate because it isn't along the main road, but if you do some research, you should be fine. On the other hand, since it's off the road, it's very quiet at night. :) All in all, booking this hotel was a great value for my money. I will recommend this to any of my friends who plan to visit Osaka in the future. :)

First thing first, this hotel changes a shiny white sheet for my bed every day. There are 7-11,Lawson and local supermarket in walking distance. Especially, the supermarket opens till 10pm and offers great fresh food at half price near closing time. Right at the JR station, there is a 7-11, never short of snacks and ice cream, and the prices are so cheap compared to Macau. Just 3 JR stops away, the 天王寺😊area is a must for less expensive and yet very local and tasty dining experience. Japanese people , as always, are so nice and polite, even we speak different languages. Staff in the hotel speak little English but it is perfectly all right. They were so willing to help and always carry smiles that warmed my heart , even when my body was so tired. I used Osaka as a base to visit 4 nearby cities on a day trip pattern. Being near the transport hub 天王寺，I found the time saving working very well for my packed trip. By the way, this hotel offers free bike rental, plz do not miss the local park ride. I am a keen cyclist and this park really is a joyful place day and night. The bike is useful tool for your local supermarket fun. The surrounding area of the hotel is very nice and quiet day and night. Small resturants & bars open till midnight. There are tennis school, baseball field, large stadium near by. Some of the local houses keep very fine Japanese garden. You may find it refreshing to walj around the local streets, looking at gardens and students biking to school in a very polite manner. I have been travelling around Japan since 1990s. My wife and I love this hotel. The price is very friendly , I would recommend this hotel for city explorers who love to mix in the local culture. Thanks again to the lady at frontdesk when I checked out late, your kindness and smile always bring me the Japanese culture I always enjoy the most. Will visit again soon!😁

We stay there for 4 nights, we are 4 adults and the room is quite large for japan. They provide a queen size bed for 2 people and additional sofa bed that quite comfortable for 2 people . The apartment is equipped with furnitures and appliances. Fully functioning kitchen, separated japanese amazing toilet and bathroom, a tub, washing machine, they even provided vacuum cleaner. They also provide the multi gadget charger. The location not really near the tourist site but dotonbori only a station away from nearest train station. You need to walk around 700 m to the train station, but the area is quite nice residential area. It has 7/11 and lawson within 200 m and has konbini (vending machine) in front of the apartment. We had a great time staying here, will come back again if i ever visit osaka again

Place is near fuminosato station, accessible to convenience stores and also walking distance to abeno and tennoji stations. Very cramped space, literally have to move furniture around in order to lay down the futons. Kitchen also cramped, not enough utensils if you want to cook. Not bad for a place to sleep, but we have tried better in downtown Osaka for similar price range. Owner also responds very late or not at all.

Tiara Court West Private Apartment – Osaka , this apartment is very close (4min walk) to haginochaya station. I suggest you to take a train from haginochaya (buy ¥150 ticket) to Shin-Imamiya Station (1 min only to reach here). All JR roots start from here. There are west and east gates of this hotel so you have to see properly your welcome email from the property owner. Once you have checked-in, you will get contact details of the property owner and you can ask any query in English from 9am to 10pm japan time. The check in and check out process are very simple. A Family mart is very close to this apartment where you can buy food and stuff. There is an ATM also you can easily withdraw money. It will charge ¥108 for service fee for each transaction plus your bank service charge (approximately ¥ 206 or less). Facilities of this apartment is excellent. I have one suggestion to add Iron-box with table also. This location is very calm place and most of the people are very old.
