Gettimg there is tricky once you get there its... ”
A little bit tricky finding it inside the town of Cuenca Batangas at the base of Mt. Makulot a well know hiking destination. Parking is very limited so on peak seasons maybe a problem. The resort has a huge waterslide and all the pools are not heated so for my visit on February my kids were not able to do water activities since daytime temps in the 70s and nightime is breezy and cold. The rooms are very comfortable and modern. The bathrooms have hot and cold water and mini fridge. We had a superior room overlooking the pool from the 2nd floor. The room has very good a/c and beds are clean and comfortable. The service is very good. The staff were friendly and courteous. There is a restaurant but the food is a little pricey PP. A little tip make sure bring your own food and water the nearest SM mall is in Taal city a few km away. Overall I give it 4/5.

The resort is beautiful and extremely well maintained with friendly and helpful staff. It is within walking distance to the top of the Taal crater and I would thoroughly recommend the visitor to brave the 1500 steps which descend down through the beautiful tropical hillside to a delightful little community on the shores of the lake. One thing that enamoured me to the resort were the facilities proved for the self catering tourist...Kettles in the rooms plus BBQ areas everywhere with sinks and adequate preparation spaces. Another thing is that the resort shop sells everything at normal prices and that are not 'hiked up' as at most resorts . Two suggestions I would make, would be to improve on the cooked food on offer by the kitchen. This was a bit sparse, basic and disappointing ( thank goodness for the self catering facilities) Another service they could provide would be booking service of transport for foreign tourists needing to return to Manilla airport or a local coach station.

The WaterPark is Fun but FREE BREAKFAST INCLUSION is BOGUS ”
I'll start with GOOD review before BAD feedback for this resort: Tierra Mercedes has a WAVE POOL which is our favorite during our stay and more pools that are safe for kids too. Plenty of lifeguards around each pool, so you don't need to worry about your kids if you happen to enjoy swimming and missed a second to your child. Giant slides for adults, and mini-slides are one of the features to for this water park. We booked with INCLUSION of FREE BREAKFAST good for 6 pax here in AGODA when I was done with the payment for my booking, the confirmation shows NO BREAKFAST INCLUSION.. I ask the hotel when we got there but the staffs told us that it is not their control if the booking confirmation came out that the BREAKFAST was NOT INCLUDED. Cottages are not included too for hotel guest. I suggest that should be included since in-house guest don't stay long for each cottages.500php Too expensive for a 30minutes to 1hour use.

We had a nice stay at Tierra Mercedes although there was a construction ongoing. We suggest that they renovate their parking space because we had a hard time parking. We also went there but their huge slide wasn't working. The room was clean and spacious. We ate lunch there and the food was good. The staff was also nice. All in all, it was a good stay.

Cons: The place is quite small and the location is far from the main city. Pros: The family room is spacious and you can cook your own food, that is really great for a group travelers. The pools are clean and well maintained, and the staff really helpful if you need them. They also open the pool water fountain even if few people use the pools. If they can add some good amenities in the resort it would be a great deal. Overall our stay at the resort was great and memorable. We will definitely go back there and hoping for new amenities. Easy to access location. You can ride tricycles to and fro the resort. There is a market nearby where you can get what you need for meals. The facility is well maintained and we had the complete set of toiletries provided. Room’s view is also nice. The staff was even kind to let us in the room earlier and we had the entire resort to ourselves on a Monday trip.

Location is just less than 30 mins away from Star Toll Lipa (Tambo) exit and the resort is near the marketplace so since we are on a budget mode, it is easier for us to buy the things we needed. Also, the resort is not crowded because the pools are located in different areas so people are not situated on a single pool only. The resort is really fun specially with kids or with friends. The staff are very nice and accommodating.

Usually staff in Philippines is great.. Here not so much.. The restaurant was excellent service. Soup was awesome.. Chicken not quite as good.. Prices very reasonable... If you want snacks bring with.. Not much in canteen... The rooms are very nice air conditioning works great and nice showers.. Have a bit of an ant problem but more outside.. Not many inside. Some staff was great but half the staff rather rude. We phoned down for toiletries and it took a few hours and a couple calls to get them. The pools are awesome and clean.. Slides are fun for kids.. And they have staff around to watch and make sure people are safe while swimming. It's not walking distance from downtown.. But trikes are plentiful and inexpensive.. And we only had short wait to come back into town. They are doing work right now on resort.. But all pools and slides we up and running and it was not an inconvenience at all.. All in all great place. About equal value for price

Good for a "mini-break"”
My family have been to quite a few of this type of "Resorts", and this has been our favorite. This is not a place to go for a weeks holiday. Restaurant facilities are VERY limited. Most people take their own food. There are Grill/BBQ areas available to use for free, and charcoal can be bought. There is NO beer available!! This is shocking for me, but I knew, and so took plenty for myself! The pool areas and all facilities are very well kept and staff are great. All I can say to foreigners (non Filipinos), is that this is not what most of you would expect a resort to be. With my advise about food/beverages/length of stay, you should be OK. My family loved it!!

Way towards the resort is easy to find. There were a lot of signages that help to locate it. The CR can use a little more cleaning but in general, our stay is convenient and the staff are very helpful, other than the security guard in charge at the parking area who is quite snob.

Nice place to enjoy with kids”
Staffs are friendly, rooms are clean and safety is priority. My only comment is when we order food in there store (pancit lomi) is like an instant noodles (literraly the noddles are the small one use in noodles) and salty with only fatty pork added. So just bring your foods or better they post/cater outside deliveries. Thanks

I arrived at night and bad surprise because of the work of the street access to private parking and kept is impossible. You have to park your vehicle on a muddy place with lighting and without security. It is stressful especially that I travel in motorcycle. The night watchman offers the really minimal service, having a cup to make a coffee has been quite a story. Other than this annoyance the room is big and clean, there is a kettle but no chairs. There is a small fridge in the room but no glasses either. The air conditioning works very well and silently. Besides it is a very quiet place to rest. Maybe the day is noisier with the entertainment facilities that are numerous and the large pool. The prices are reasonable, I booked through my account on Agoda and I received a good discount. I do not know if it is possible to have breakfast on the spot, I did not have this information. I would have liked to test the pool but paying 250 php for 1/4 of an hour is not for me

A great and wonderful place to relax. The food was cheap. The staff were helpful and accomodating. They clean the pool everyday even if no one uses it. Scenic sunset and sunrise. A perfect place to commune with nature.
