Great hotel with lots of facilities”
I have had the pleasure of staying at the Palm Garden Hotel at two different occations. The staff is super friendly and very competent. Stay includes hi-speed cable internet (only one laptop can be connected pr room), large and very impressive gym, pool and breakfast. The hotel has a shuttle bus that you can preorder for rides to the city or The rooms are large and seems quite new. Everything is working the ways it's supposed to. The rooms and the hotel in general smells fresh and clean. Alcohol is forbidden in Brunei, but the hotel features a hidden bar on the top floor that can be accessed on request by non-muslims. Be aware that Brunei as a muslim country has mosks that broadcast prayers from a loudspeaker every morning at 5.30 AM. This can be heard inside the rooms and woke us up every morning. Unfortunately, this can be heard no matter where you stay in Brunei. We really liked the Palm Garden Hotel and can recommed it to everyone.

Great service, quiet location”
we enjoyed using this hotel as our base in bandar seri begawan. it's a bit out of downtown, but close to plenty of shopping, restaurants and the night market. buses are easily caught into the city center (they stop running at 5:30p.m.) the staff was very helpful, there is a shuttle service for far less than a cab if you need to get to and from the bus or airport. definitely would stay here and again and recommend it heartily. breakfast included was very good, lots of choices, buffet style.

Nice hotel”
The hotel is clean and well maintained. Check in was super fast and the room is comfy and clean. The buffet breakfast provided was very nice and complete. There is a relaxation and spa outlet within the hotel. Another plus for the hotel is that it is located at Kiulap area which is just minutes drive to the city of Bandar Seri Begawan.

Nice hotel with good shuttle service and staff”
The shuttle service from hotel to downtown or airport (and vice versa) is really helpful while staying in Bandar Seri Begawan, since the public transportation is quite hard to find. The staff is also nice and friendly. Overall this hotel is a good choice if you want to stay in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Great hotel, a little outside the centre”
There are 1 budget option in BSB(stay clear of that!) and then a few midrange including this one. Palm Garden Hotel is located a little out of the city, but don't pay that too many thoughts. They have a minibus which will take your party to and from the centre for 10$ and you don't have to be in the centre more than once to see it all. The huge mosque is in walking from the hotel. There is nothing bad to say about the hotel. Lovely place, GREAT breakfast, fitness, swimming pool and very recommendable! I know that it is a lot more expensive that what you've been paying touring Borneo, but you just have to in Brunei ;)

Journey To Brunei”
Booked the Palm Garden Hotel through the internet. It was stated free transport service from the airport vice versa and that is one of the reason I booked the hotel. However you need to contact the hotel even though you,ve mentioned your arrival time at the provided space during the booking. So sad to say when I arrived there,s no hotel transport waiting and we have to take a taxi as there is no other public transport available. That cost us B$22. The hotel room is spacious. However the hotel was supposed to provide 1 bottle mineral water for each everyday but sad to say they could not provide the supply for the number of occupants. Even though it's only one bottle short the hotel should be able to solve such a small problem. We didn.t complain but it reflects the attitude of the hotel staff to the quests.

Good hotel in semi-inconvenient location”
I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Brunei. I was happy with all features of the hotel except that it's location is a bit inconvenient. It's a 30 minute walk into the center of town. The other options are to get a taxi (not many in town and have to call up to book one), a bus (runs infrequently and inconsistently), or the hotel shuttle at a small cost (which makes getting back to the hotel problematic). Bandar Seri Begawan is better set up if you have a car. By the end of my stay I decided this was an acceptable inconvenience, as the rooms are fine, staff very friendly and helpful, in-room wifi reliable, and it's a less than 10 minute walk (away from the center of town) to the night market for excellent street food for dinner.

Good place for a transit stay”
I had an 8 hour transit in Brunei. The Palm Garden turned out to be a good place for a transit stay. Communication about arrival details was quick and friendly. Airport transfers were included in the cost, pickup was on time. I was able to check-in early. The room was comfortable, clean and secure. Price was better than the other hotel options I considered. Will stay again.

Ideal for Active guests, quite far from bus stop”
I stayed in Brunei for 4 nights and split my stay to Traders Inn Hotel and Palm Garden Hotel. So in comparison: PGH has more activities since it has a complete gym and pool right next to it. I also like the buffet breakfast included. Room has own vault and feels more of a true hotel. LAN Internet available in room if one brought his/her laptop but in my case I only have my phone so it wasn't really useful for me. Bathrooms were clean enough although had some tile stains; hot and cold water works perfectly. Staffs immediately knew who we were when we arrived, helpful with the luggage, and attentive when we asked for an adaptor and mosquito repellant sprays. My mom especially gets most insect bites. Even those in the gym were nice and accommodating, mostly Filipinos. Cons: Room is dimly lit. Beds were quite harder and smaller compare to TIH. Wi-fi only accessible in the lobby but got weak when I moved to the sofas so I had to stand in a corner just to get a stronger connection but thanks to one of the staffs who offered me a seat. The hotel is also about 5 minutes walk to Giant Mall, about 10 miutes to Hua-Ho Department Store (surrounding area has plenty of local restaurants), and another 3 minutes to the Bus Stop for Bus 20 (going to Gadong and Bandar) but only until before 5pm I guess. Hotel can assist in booking you for a taxi. If to Airport: BND 25 before 11pm and BND 35 after 11pm. Brunei overall is not lively.

Good value hotel with good facilities”
The Palm garden hotel is a good value hotel offering comfortable rooms including breakfast at a very reasonable price. The room is perfectly comfortable and offers a clean bathroom. Use of the gym is also included in the rate, and the gym facilities are excellent. Breakfast is included, and is buffet style. There is not a large range of food but it is perfectly fine for the average traveller. All in all, a good value stay and the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Kiulap shops offering a wide variety of restaurants, supermarkets, and branded outlets.

Impressionable”
I was so impressed that stayed another day so to continue to experience the fantastic dishes from Energy Kitchen. It was awesome to see the wholesome cuisine and VERY tasty and innovative too! The location is quite handy too. Can walk to the shopping area so quickly and easily as well. I will be back to Palm Garden next time I am in Bandar. The Japanese retreat facility within the complex was a great find too 😄

a reasonable option in sleepy brunei”
We enjoyed our two night stay here. The staff were polite and helpful. The hotel is some distance from downtown but there are restaurants nearby. The hotel called a cab for us so we could visit down town Bandar Seri Begawan. They can organise trips to the jungle canopy walk but it is quite expensive. Luckily we did a similar walk cheaper in Kinabalu National Park, Malaysia.

Palm Garden”
We did get Palm Garden for our Pre Nup group and preparation. Overall Experience is Good. Staff are accomodating from Chinese, Malay & Pilipino. Our only concern is the ligth inside the room we just use the lamp shade. We did have problem on lighting on a cloudy weather especially on putting make up for our couple. Overall it was good. Breakfast Gym & Pool.

5-star service, big rooms, free airport transfer”
Our stay in Brunei was made very convenient and enjoyable because of this hotel. SERVICES: They have friendly and accommodating staff. Ms Lorin Bugarin was very helpful throughout our stay. She referred us to good deals in terms of City Tour and where to eat. We were wandering the area like locals because of them. ROOMS: The rooms were BIG. Internet was fast and reliable and we really had a good sleep. Though minor noise from the construction somewhere, but it was actually tolerable. ACCESSIBILITY: This was located in a little secluded portion of BSB, but if you are into walking, food stalls are just a few minutes away from the hotel. FOOD: We did not try the hotel food, but there are good food stalls near the area- 1) BIG PAPPAS (5-10 min walk, along the food strip area). 2) FILIPINO Delights (same area) 3) AIKOS Sushi Buffet (for only 6 Brunei dollar, you get buffet access already- good food!). 4) VMR Chinese Food (5 min walk, ranging from 2-5 dollars for good meal). Overall would recommend this place for those who plan to visit BSB in the near future. For City tour, I'd recommend you ask for "Kuya Mike" he offers private tours for half the price than regular agencies. Enjoy Brunei!
