Location is perfect and just a few blocks away from Kayabacho Station which connects Tozai and Ginza line. It is located in the center of all major tourist destinations in Japan. Room is big since Japan is known to have quite limited space. Will definitely stay in this hotel again.

If you're looking for a place just to sleep that's cheap but not gross, then this is perfect. Nothing fancy by any means (the room and bathroom are tiny) but it's a great value.

Location is very near to Kayabacho station, not far from Nihombashi Takashimaya, very clean and tidy everyday, comfort room, easy to reach.

Pros: It's the cheapest price in Tokyo, 3 to 5 minute walk to Kayabacho station, staffs are nice and friendly, a few restaurants nearby, you have to leave the room key whenever you leave the hotel, when you request to make up the room, they'd literally replace everything. Cons: Water isn't complimentary if you have the room cleaned, building's quite old, sometimes it's hard to communicate with either housekeeping and reception due to language barrier, on our first day, room's a bit small, we found a black socks behind the television (it was there the whole duration we stayed for 12 days) and lastly, it gets messy on the each floor in the morning when housekeeping cleans the room because they throw everything outside the rooms. I guess the houseman collects them eventually. Despite the cons mentioned above, would still definitely come back as it's only 2 stations away from my sister's place and the place is decent. :-)

You get good value for money at this hotel. Dont expect a big room or any fancy facilities - this is just a place to sleep and take a shower. Close to a metro station and a Family mart, clean room. Staff doesnt speak much English though, so prepare to google translate and figure thing out on your own.

The staff were very kind, but the room was very dirty. There was a lot of hair in my bed and the floors were really dusty. As well, the key exchange was really inconvenient and frustrating. I didn't feel like I had as much freedom as at other hotels.

Booked my Tokyo hotel accommodation late. With a limited budget, I have selected Pearl Hotel Kayabacho due to above two constraints. Wasn't really expecting too much but this hotel is old but well maintained albeit a bit nostalgic in that it still uses physical key to access the room. MUST surrender the key at the front desk when leaving hotel. There wasnt much services rendered as the staff are not versed in English. However I have to emphasize that they do try to just that effort was limiting.

Walk to the airport bus terminal is within 10 minutes, quite convenient. But go to Tokyo Station or Shinjuku Station needs to change metro lines.

More than 40 year old building. Oldstyle hotel, still using metal key. No complimentary drink provided. Only water dispenser in 3rd floor, my room is 10th room. After 3 glasses , the water dispenser is empty, cant info the staff because the phone is “broken”. As I want to ask receptionist and call from room, nobody answered. So I must go down to lobby, and seeing staff there sitting, doing nothing. As I complained that nobody answered, turns out receptionist’s phone is broken, saying that without even checking first. How can a phone in hotel receptionist broken.

I'd say, over-all, this hotel has the best value out of the hotels in Tokyo. The location is very close to Tokyo station, you just hop onto the Subway and you're only two stops away from Tokyo Station. Well, technically, you get off at Otemachi station and walk to Tokyo Station while underground. It may be a little tricky to find places nearby to eat, as you may have to walk a little bit. But there are plenty of places to eat, and a convenience store located just down the street. The only thing that may be a turn-off to travelers is the hotel is a smoking hotel. So some of the floors may smell like cigarettes, and that smell may leak to your floor as well. This is a business hotel, so technically many traveling business people stay here typically, I wouldn't really consider it a "Tourist" hotel. There are a lot of Izakaya located close to the hotel as well, which, considering Kayabachou is foremost a business district doesn't surprise me. English may also be an issue for some.
