I booked for 2 nights in February and would highly recomend the Peerless I stayed with my 92 year old aunt and the service was excellent. The stall were very polite and in particular the restaurant staff., especially Kritika who was an excellent hostess . We booked 4 nights for the following week and requested rhe same room on the 10th floor. As this was taken for the first night the reception arranged for our cases to be transferred the next day. Food is excellent and the rooms and bedding very clean. I will deffinately stay here again should I re visis Kolkata.

A Perfect Stay”
Having read some reviews on other websites we were slightly worried about what might lie in store for us. There was, however no need for concern. From the moment we arrived we received first-class treatment. There was no delay at check-in, our room was excellent, the food was good and the staff could not have been more courteous, friendly and helpful. All in all it was a perfect stay and I have no hesitation in recommending it highly.

I stayed at the Peerless for 3 nights. My room was quite comfortable and had a good view of the city. It was very close to Esplanade and the local markets, which gave me ample opportunity to explore Kolkata. Overall, a good experience at a decent price.

As the place is at the heart of the city this hotel has to be one of the best hotel with great facility if we compare with the price. The only down thing I had to say will be the price of dining of per person. Otherwise great hotel to stay with friends and family.

Breakfast is a huge budget of wonderful interesting tastes. There are Western things available, but I saw no reason to have them. Got me through the day . The hotel is neither new nor luxurious, but is just fine. In the middle of a huge noisy kind of overwhelming market . I highly recommend it!!!!

Rooms were decent, but issues with the bathroom”
We stayed at the Peerless Inn for 3 nights in July. Our rooms were comfortable and decent. However, on the first day, we had an issue of water-logging in the shower. The water was completely stagnant and we had to call the reception thrice before action was taken. Also, there was some miscommunication as the reception told us they would not enter the room when we weren't in it, but later we found out they sorted the issue exactly when we weren't in the room! Apart from this little issue, the rest of the stay passed without incident. It was a comfortable stay overall.

We were advised to request for rooms in the New building. Were granted our request after some "resistance". No complaints on cleanliness etc., except that the rooms could have been better done. They do not provide bathroom consumables (other than soap in dispensers) - have to ask for them. All things considered, a good option in Central Kolkata to stay for business or personal visits. Breakfast options are fine (though not excellent).

Can't tell enough about how great this location is - right next to New Market, a few minutes from the Metro stop and a 10 min. walk to K C Das rasgollas. The staff is very pleasant - and generally responsive (if slow sometimes). Only negative we had during the stay was the initial booking was in the "Deluxe" room - these are the rooms in the old bldg and still not renovated - we had a terrible night in this room - but requested a change for the remaining two nights to the Premier - which they gladly accommodated - and the rooms were super-excellent! Again, I really don't feel like even deducting points since they responded and changed our rooms.
