Wonderful experience!”

We had a lovely stay at this place before GW. Pension is located in quite place, close to hot spring and Seiburindo. You can go to sea hotsprings while enjoy star night. The facility is clean and convenient - toilet and bathroom are separate and ok to use washing machine. However, the best part is our host - Yuri-san and her husband. They are so caring and considerate that we feel so at-home and relaxed after long trip. If you have time, please definitely try homemade breakfast and dinner which are cooked with love! My fav is flying fish sandwich, beef stew and Japanese course dinner.

Wonderful!”

A warm and welcoming home away from home, that was what Blue Drop became as I stayed longer and longer! Yuki is the most warmhearted and caring host you can imagine, I will always remember her smile after returning from a day out in the mountains and onsen :-). She and her husband prepare absolutely delicious meals, with fresh self- or locally caught and produced ingredients (whahhh, how I miss that sweet Tankan and super fresh sashimi). Yakushima is a stunning island and I may have been lucky to see it as quiet as I have as corona closed in. How I hope to be back some day!

Fabulous Vacation Stay!”

We were so grateful to Yuki-san for helping us plan our trip! She booked our rental car and our ferry tickets to and from the island. She also had great recommendations for where to go while we were in Yakushima. My husband and I shared her large sashimi plate for dinner, and it was delicious! We wish we could have stayed longer and would love to stay again if we ever return to Yakushima.

The pension is made with a lot of love, which you can really feel. Yuki was very helpful with everything! Would absolutely recommend a stay there, and to try the kaiseki dinner course!

Quiet location, beautiful house with nice artistic touches. Homemade desserts and local brews available. Yuki was so helpful on booking us the Miyazaki car ferry. The only place we stayed at in 3 weeks across Japan with REAL LINEN sheets!

Warm welcoming home with thoughtful hosts.”

Yuki and Toru are amazing hosts. The house is wonderful and beautiful. Clean. Incredibly clean. A place that encourages you to be gone all day exploring the amazing surroundings. The moment we arrived Yuki was warm and welcoming, breaking out the maps and giving us an itinerary custom catered to the length of our stay. The low tide hot springs are a 5 min drive which make a late night dip very accessible. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Do yourself a favor and rent a car (yuki will arrange) it’s so convenient and affordable.
