Good Value”
1.Ocean thanks to Phu Van for very good service of check in. They picked us up at the airport, and I had not spend a minute for waiting them. I only spend 1 minute on check in, as they have arranged all before I arrived, including a nice decorated sweet room. And I was so lucky to be promoted to a very nice room, just beside the swimming pool as they realized it was a journey for my wedding anniversary. 2. Nice swimming pool, big enough and clean. 3. Helpful staff although it is not every one could speak English, but they helped to find the right person for assistant. Suggestion: There should be a waitress in SPA room could speak fluent English, as the misunderstanding occuered during our stay in Phu Van.

Great pool”
We stayed at Phu Van for 5 days and 4 nights, and had a great time. The pool was fantastic, definitely the best one we saw in Phu Quoc. Hotel staff are really friendly and nice, although some times we'd have a hard time trying to communicate in English. We were upgraded to one of the bungalows by the pool for free which was really great. We also appreciated being picked up for free at the airport, and the staff's help arranging taxis for us to visit the night market downtown and Sao Beach (the best beach in the island, about 30 min. from the hotel in a bumpy road, but definitely worth the visit). In terms of improvements, the restaurant is not up to the same levels as other services; the food we ordered for our first dinner was undercooked. We didn't eat there again except for the breakfasts which were included. Those were nice, but had too many Russian salads and not many other dishes to choose from. Otherwise we had a great time at Phu Van.

Great on the surface, but so-so beneath.”
We stayed at the Phu Van Resort for one night for my girlfriend`s birthday. The hotel is a great-looking place. The scenery is beautiful and the room arrangement around the pool is great. The room was very upscale with a very big bed and nice interior decoration. However, the longer we stayed, the more problems we had with the hotel. We found that our light in the bathroom didnt work. Shortly after, we found that there was no hot water in the shower. We called the front desk to ask for help, but they responded that having no hot water should be expected because they havn`t turned it on yet. You`d think the hot water would be ready once guests actually get to the room instead of finding out for yourself once you get in the shower. After waiting for a while for the front desk to send help, I flagged down a maintenance worker instead and he helped us out. He turned the hot water on but couldn`t fix the light. I can`t comment on the staff as a whole, but some staff were friendly while others were fairly cold and unhelpful. Overall, our stay was mostly pleasant but not worth the money we paid for the room, especially since the facilities weren`t full working. I`d suggest reminding the staff to turn on your hot water before you get to the hotel.

Beautiful hole with amazing swimming pool”
Phu Quoc island was a fantastic resort to visit. The hotel was located a couple of minutes walk to the beach which was gorgeous and very clean. The hotel was modern and clean, however the rooms are badly designed. The light switches are behind the pillow near the bed so when I moved during the night all the lights went on! The other drawback was the bathroom, I completely understand that a lot of bathrooms are wet rooms but the shower was basically on top of the toilet, with the sink right at the other end of the room so you had to walk through the water to get to the sink? Did not make sense! Having said this, the biggest plus this hotel has is the swimming pool! It is gorgeous! Padded sun loungers and perfect temperature in the pool! Breakfast was also very good and the staff did everything they could to keep you happy. The pool alone would make us return to this hotel and how closely it was situated to the beach. We also benefitted from a free shuttle to the airport.

Good value and good location ”
This place is ideally situated as it is far enough from town to be quiet but near enough to get to for the night market etc. The room to get is definitely a poolside bungalow ,clean,comfy ,good air con and large bathroom ,free water tea and coffee plus minibar, nice and shady under the palm trees and by the side of one of the best pools in the area .access to the beach is easy ,straight through a smaller resort down to beach chairs and restaurant .The breakfasts are good and varied and the restaurant itself does serve good food with vegetarian option which we found no problem in all Vietnam .We spent ten nights at this resort and did look at lots of others during our stay and decided we were better off here .best pool ,helpful staff ,they try really hard to provide everything ,just ask nicely !! and better quality motorbikes to rent . Overall a good deal and pleasant place for individuals and families . Would come back here for sure Ken and Caroline

Excellently positioned hotel”
Me and husband stayed here for 11 nights in December and we had a very pleasant stay. We had a bungalow room near the bottom end of the resort, where the gym, pool and way to the beach were. We are both gym goers so we’re very happily surprised to find out there was a gym (even if it was basic it’s better than nothing!) The pool was really long and decent size. We never had trouble getting a sun lounger as well as most of the time we were the only people by the pool! The pool staff were very friendly and were always more than happy to provide us with towels etc. The breakfast was very nice, with a selection of fruit, pastries, yogurt, salad bar, omelette station and hot selection that changed every day - my favourite was the sticky rice with bacon and egg (SO delicious!) The room was nice, with a minibar and aircon. They even laid out a nice display of flowers on the bed on our arrival (see pics). The hotel overall was very good for the price you pay and excellent location!

Good hotel, average breakfast”
Phu Van is a fairly new hotel, it boasts a lovely big pool with plenty of sun loungers and clean towels always available. We booked a standard room which was a very good size and was clean & tidy. The biggest let down in the room was the bed, although it was huge it was like sleeping on concrete! I usually like a firm bed but this is quite literally like lying on a concrete slab! The buffet breakfast could have been good but no effort was made to cover food items to stop the flies crawling all over it, there were hundreds of flies on pretty much all items of breakfast so we just stuck to toast and jam most mornings! Some members of staff were quite friendly, such as the pool staff and breakfast staff, but more often the staff were not that friendly, especially reception staff unfortunately. A smile and a hello would go a long way! Overall the hotel is in a good location and very close to a gorgeous beach and I would recommend it.

Worth for Money”
I think the Delux room is worth the price with breakfast buffet. I like the cleanliness there. The room maid cleans our room every day. Bathroom is big. I recommend you booking Superior instead of Superior cos there is no difference between the two except for Delux is a big larger than Superior. Hot water, airconditioning, fridge. Free tea bags and coffee and a welcomed dish of fruits. Early check-in is allowed without any fee. You just need to contact the sale manager, asking them to prepare for you. Kind of nice to us. The swimming pool is large. Though it doesnt have its own beach, you can easily access the beach by crossing a small alley then going through another resort. There is no restriction for you to enter the other resort. Hope you will enjoy your trip in Vietnam.

New resort with awesome that kept getting better”
This is a brand new resort that has great potential. The pool is awesome. They are developing the gardens and over time it will be even more beautiful. It is a short walk to the beach but they don't have a designated beach chairs (or they didn't tell us about them)-they should partner with someone. We stayed 7 days and every day I would see some improvement in how they were operating. Airport shuttles was a nice feature. They need to do some promotions to build their bar and restaurant business as they are not competitive with great choices on the beach and town. So we never really tried the food except for the breakfast buffet which was very nice with lots of choices. It is far from town..about an hour walk. But local taxis are available. The staff is all learning and trying very hard. Not everyone speaks english but enough do so it's not an issue.

Good service location and staff, it was raining off season”
The resort staff were good, carried my bag , the toilet leaked on the last day, they wanted me to change room, however it did not leak further. got to cross the road for the beach, however cannot swim on the beach , high wave and current. breakfast average. location is 3 KM from city centre, should have booked nearer. Spa was closed. off season period. Rained during the 3 days I stayed. fishing for squid, there was the rain and no squid. overall enjoyed the trip and the seafood.

Awesome pool bungalows”
Staff were friendly and the complimentary airport pickup was faultless with the driver waiting for us at the airport. Whilst it rained the entire time we were here (3 nights ) it didn't spoil our time here. Although they had bicycles for use to go into town we chose to walk the 15km with the umbrellas the resort provided on one occasion but as there were so many great places to eat close by only did this once. There was a particular place with 8,000 vn beers just to the left outside gates and they have fresh seafood they will BBQ. We had tuna with rice at only 150,000 vn for the two of us and it was awesome. The air con is good and although the beds felt hard to sit on they were surprisingly comfortable.

I've left the other resort to go directly to here, and it changed my mind 360 degrees. Very nice place, nice staff, nice swimming pool, not quite close to the beach but not to far. Comparing with the other resort, the price is okay.

An okay experience”
As soon as i walked in the room. It was very nice and new, but there was also the smell of new paint, so that's probably a minus. There were 2 single beds, as a couple, we wanted a big bed for 2. We then asked to change but seemed like they didnt want to give us another room. They did come up and help to combine the two beds together but it didnt work. So we both had to sleep in one bed. The bathroom was nice and clean. But a big minus has to be the internet. You can easily find their internet pretty everywhere in the hotel, but the speed was very slow and sometimes it didnt even work for me. I did like that the hotel is very close to the beach, you just need to walk for like 2 minutes and you will be at the beach. The pool is also very nice, i loved it. I like the garden. And i think the staffs were pretty friendly and helpful. But the price was a bit high, so i did expect more than that.

Great hotel on Long Beach”
This is a very nice hotel. We've been upgraded to the pool bungalow for free. My husband has asked the staff to decorate our room for my birthday and they did a beautiful job. Hotel is located in the second line from the beach, so about 50 meters away. It's safe, clean, and colorful. Breakfast is ok - it's a local buffet with some western dishes.

We stayed there 3 nights. We had a bungalow close to the pool, room and bathrooms were spacious and very comfy. Staff are very friendly and smily. The beach near by is not the best one but has many restaurants.

Very nice island.”
Overall our stay was very pleasant. The hotel is conveniently situated near a rather nice beach. The staff were courteous but lacked the competence to deal with even a basic enquiry which was rather frustrating at times. We were also rather shocked at the state of the toilets adjacent to the breakfast room and to the pool which was a shame considering that the rest of the resort was kept very clean.

the bungalows are very good and clean but the rooms are not up to a 4 star hotel - some of them do not even have a window - we were forced to take the dinner at New Years Eve for 1,5 Million each! The food was not even near to be worse that much money and the event was boring. There is no own beach acces Stuff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good
