VALUE FOR MONEY”
location is fairly good about a kilometer or so the benh thanh market but a good walk the surrounding area is perfect for exploring the locals... fairly near recommended restaurants when you search online. our room was big, they have basic toiletries and the staff were friendly. its more of a hostel or transient accomadation type not really the "hotel" but for light, easy travellers like us its a good place to stay. there were several foreigners in the hotel to. breakfast was also filling with bread, egg, jam, butter, coffee, juice... everything was good! if we are going back to ho chi minh we will definitely stay here.

Clean & comfortable for budget travellers”
We enjoyed our stay at Phuc Khan. Our room was spacious and cleaned daily and friendly staff. The breakfast was average but an added bonus for the price we paid for the stay. The location for us was perfect, not in and amongst the liveliness but close enough approx a 10 minute walk to backpacker area and to the markets/tourist locations. If we were travelling on a budget again in Ho Chi Minh we would return.

Very new and clean”
Phuc Khanh 2 Hotel is very new and I could still smell the odour from the cupboard upon checking in. I stayed in a double-bed room with ensuite bathroom and as a backpacker with very simple needs I was satisfied. The location is so-so about 10 minutes by foot to Pham Ngu Lao street but the price is cheap so I cannot complain there. Overall, it is a very simple 2-star hotel which should satisfy most backpackers.

Great Location, Staff and facilities”
Stayed in Room 303. Very good room. Clean room, clean bedsheets and bathroom. No problem of any odor in room. Comfortable bed, a little hard, only thick pillows available. Curtains in room were thin material. Hence sunlight will break in easily. Hotel staff very cooperating, very well mannered. Shower handle serves as a shower in bathroom but mounting was broken. Quick CheckIn. Breakfast is served from 7-9 with only one serving of 2 Eggs, 1 bread and banana and unlimited Coffee available. No kettle in room. No safe in room, however a drawer is available in the wardrobe with separate key. Therefore, serves well as a safe. Hotel is very rightly located. 500 mts. walking distance fron Ban Than Market. No noise pollution. Thankfully the room I had was also upto 90% noise proof. Definitely will stay with this Hotel whenever I'm back.

It's worth it, good location, offers tours, helpful staff. It's not in the main D1 area but everything you need is within walking distance. There is an American BBQ restaurant on the river street 1 min awat from this hotel. Also there are many little grocery stores on the same street for all of your needs. They switched my room when I found bed bugs in the original room I was in. The new room was clean and insect free. I would recommend others to come here. Good value for money. They also let me park my motor-scooter in their hotel garage at night.

Nice hotel. Cheap price. The staff is extremely helpful. Breakfast was included which was simple but nice. For the cheap price you get a private room with AC, fridge, breakfast, hot shower etc. location is nice. 10 min walk to Ben that market/night market. The only thing was that our 2 persons bed had a big whole in the mattress at one site. So when you sit on that side you kind of would fall through it. We asked to change and they said they were fully booked so we can try the next day. Since we slept alright the first night, we just didn't change the next day. It is room 407 so please make sure you check the bed. Further than that would highly recommend the place

Best bang for your buck ”
We stayed in a double bed. Honestly people bitch and wine about places. But for 16$ it's a gem. Has AC they store your bags if you do excursions. They proved Breakfast. We had a blast in the city and you barely are in the room. We stayed here 2 different times!

Good choice on a budget”
It's quite near to Ben Thanh Market and Phạm Ngũ Lão street, you can walk there in 10-15 minutes, they also provide scooter rental service, which is a great way to explore the city. We booked 5 nights but two night we actually stayed in Mui ne for beach, so no need to carry all the luggage here and there. The hotel is quite safe. People are very helpful though they talk really slow. Everything is easy,such as check-in without passport check, rental without deposit. Well, welcome to Saigon!

forget the capsule ”
yeah its cheap and has a.c. lockers and towels but its on the ground floor, with bathroom inside, so small, it's run down and the staff don't even speak proper English. nor will they pay any attention to you since phuc khanh and phuc khanh 2 are the same place and they are busy with the hotel. no toiletries. weird people around in the neighborhood, it's like everyone knows you are leaving tomorrow anyway and you are not coming back. tip: you can get 12k per kilo mangos around the block and use the hotel kitchen to sit down. the com tan around the corner at 40k is overpriced or they tried to scam me. there are mobile banh mi nuong, bread with grilled meat for 15k around 3-5pm . better go elsewhere unless u are on a shoestring budget.

Nice and simple place”
We were overall happy with this place. Good value for the money and very clean room, sheets and towels. Our first night was terrible though as the bed was one of the worst we have ever slept in - very run down/worn out with the springs of the mattress poking around your back. Staff was super friendly and helpful and immediately offered us another room where the bed wasn't perfect either but a lot lot better. But then the toilet seat was broken/loose which was quite annoying, the sink clocked and lots of tiny flies in the bathroom. They must be coming from the air vent as it was the same thing in the first room. Breakfast was simple and good, you'll be served a plain banh mi, two eggs, a banana, tea, coffee and juice. We can recommend this place but would wish for a few new mattresses and a bit of maintenance in the room :) if you're on a budget, this place is very good though! It's a 10-15 min walk to the city center plus you have lots of street food around you.

Basic Home Base Hotel”
This hotel came up as best possible value for 4 days. Located between the river and BV, it's the perfect perch for a short stay. Room was basic, totally functional. A/C worked fine. The street food around the hotel lobby is fab. Free motorbike parking in the basement. The hotel rents motorbikes $3 per day. Yersin Street is home to heavy light industry, including hardware stores and dry goods of all kinds. The Velo Cafe is down the river two blocks on the corner of De Tham Street, and sits at the entrance of a locals wet market five blocks long. IF you really need to overpay for a wake up, then Snob Coffee is at the top of De Tham, and looks across Trang Hung Dao to BV. This is a location deal. You can take it from there.

Not good”
We stayed in a double room. When we came on the first day and showed receptionist our booking, he said he didn't receive any booking and no room for us. Then he gave us a room at floor 6th. The light in front of our room blink and it look scary because we are the only guest stay at that floor. The room didn't has toilet paper, water and the electric water heat was broken. Moreover, the AC and the fridge sound very noisy. The receptionist transferred us to another room better on the second day and we feel a little bit good. The best point of this hotel is location. It locates on District 1 so it is convenient to move to other districts. Finally, I think that the double room is not good but this hotel maybe good with dormitory bed for the foreigner guests.

The room was covered in ants and also flying ants were EVERYWHERE even when you slept you would feel them flying over you... the room smelt like rotting wood where it's got damp and also the cupboard so my clothes skank afterwards... for the money we paid it was okay as you get what you pay for... location isn't brilliant for backpackers you need to be in district 3 this was district 1

This time I stayed for 1 night just to sleep and travel on, so I booked an economy pod. The bathroom wasn't the best, but I slept really well considering you're sleeping in a box. It was really cheap too, so decent value for money, I'd say.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Very affordable. We had a big room with big window. The hotel is few blocks away from ben thanh market. They have big bathroom. Coffee was great according to my friend (since im not a coffee expert) the variety of food could be improved. The lift needs improvement. Overall i'll give this 8/10
