PLEASE BEWARE of this property. They will entice you of good photos but you will end up lost in the wilderness while looking for the property. We have negotiated properly with them and Agoda to refund our money but the hotel owner will not cooperate.

Amazing place to stay, highly memorable!”
Only down side is we wish to have stayed longer!! Volker is a great host, friendly and very helpful. You MUST order the breakfast, best bread in Philippines and the home made lemonade will cure anything... Room itself was awesome, gave us inspiration for building our own house. Mosquito screens mean windows can always stay open, and can totally enjoy the cool breeze. View from the balcony is stunning, we fell in love with Malaybalay! In short one of the best places we've stayed, over 15 years of traveling the world and 15 countries.

A relaxing escape from the city.”
The place was beautiful and not hard to locate. The room was clean and homely. No aircon needed because of the naturally cool environment of Bukidnon. The owners were accommodating and friendly. The tour on the pitcher plant farm was very educational. Overall, it is a great place to relax, unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Great place to chill -- literally too :P”
Recommended for those who seek the peace, quiet & scenery of the countryside, but cannot part from comforts like a reliable wifi connection or a heated shower -- from my experience travelling to similarly-classed municipalities/towns in Luzon, you will not find lodging that is as lovely and as complete with amenities for the price. You might be wondering why the rooms don't come with AC -- I can assure you, there is no need for it. It was very chilly at night. We didn't even use the provided electric fan. Oh, and have I mentioned you get to keep warm with a clean, fluffy duvet? Went here with family, definitely coming back with my significant other

I find this hotel unsafe to stay”
We did not stay in the hotel at all, we moved in to another hotel at night, I just don't feel safe since there was no second lock on the door,you cant lock the room from the inside. I was not comfortable coz there was no guard, staff, bell boy, it was only the owner who assisted us. the stairs going to our room is not lighted, good thing we had our flashlight. It's a very peaceful place to stay though since there's no neighbors, we were the only guests when we checked in and that made me uncomfortable. Just us and the owner

Beautiful place like having your own cabin in the mountains but accessible even if you just take a bus; clean and spacious rooms (loved walking barefoot on the wooden floors); cool surroundings; friendly and informative owner; and I especially loved that the place is mostly powered by solar energy ;,)

Cool, mountain getaway”
We were fortunate to have been the only guests for a night before others checked-in. We had the quiet, the fresh air, the cool mountain breeze, and the most amazing sunrise to ourselves. Pitcher Plant Farm is a healthy, comfortable walk from the main highway for that provincial hideaway. But once you're back on the road, everything is just accessible by foot or Php8 multi-cab ride. The mountains were practically in the backyard! It was like our own little hut in the Bukidnon mountainside. For the first day we did nothing but watch documentaries. We just wanted to stay in. Coffee was provided, a kettle, a refrigerator, hangers in a spacious closet, shampoo, soap, towels, a writing desk with 2 chairs and a lounge chair. What a deal! Volger and his family are wonderful hosts.

Very cosy and quiet location”
Very pleasant experience in the suite room. Nothing seemed to be a problem. Great if you want to get away from the hussle and bustle of the city life. Great if you want to cook your own food the way you like it in its modest kitchen. Good view of the country side if you openned minded. Good supply of in house DvD movies for those rainy days. Airport transfer available and local transport arranged on request. Pitcher plant nursery interesting to visit. Extra day guests welcome via appointment and small fee.

Nature and adventure experience”
Staying at Pitcher Plant gives you a different experience, locating it is an adventure itself already, hidden in a nature park sorrounded with pitcher plant gardens is a haven to nature lovers. Loved the cool weather, aircon is unnecessary, but hot water during our stay was not enough. In short, i highly recommend this hotel to nature lovers only.

Beautiful Private Resort ”
The suite cottage is very spacious. And clean. The porch is awesome. Perfect for bird watching. Local birds get curious and they visit. :) It's cooler than the city so there's no need for an aircon. They allow the guests to cook. But one has an option to order food in advance. Beautiful experience for nature lovers, indeed.

we had fun when we stayed in the pitcher plant farm. it was very quiet and we cooked our own meals. we're four in our group and i think the place is the best for families who wish to spend more time with each other.
