    Paradise on earth”

When somebody wants to know where is the paradise on earth, I know the answer. It's Playa de Paraiso Resort on the Island Guimaras. It's such a quiet and peaceful place. The swimmingpool is just a few steps from the room, the sea is so nearby and the walk along the beach is a wonderful experience. There are many places to sit, relax, read a book or enjoy the view over the sea. Above all the staff is very friendly, the meals are great. Sure we will come back and advise everyone who is looking for a peaceful vacation to go here. There is also a class for learning kitesurfing, good wind and waves . It's near Iloilo and Bacolod, just a short boatride. Thom Hofstra and Berthilde van der Zwaag from the Netherlands.

A Wonderful Oasis on a Beautiful Island”

The beautiful beack, the refreshing swimming pool, and the charming home

There were four of us, with two rooms at the north end of the resort. The service was outstanding, with the staff so friendly and accommodating. The establishment is on the east side of Guimaras, and for those who are early risers it affords gorgeous sunrises. The food is generally outstanding, but the breakfasts were a highlight. Mangoes and other fruits were always included, and being in Guimaras, probably the best mangoes I've ever eaten. The rooms were very comfortable, and the swimming pool was just outside the rooms to refresh oneself, after a hot walk, or a long session of Videoke. All four of us felt so relaxed, and can't wait to come back. A true oasis with friendly welcoming smiles. If there was only one negative was that there was no wifi. But the way all of us approached this situation, was to say, "We are off the grid boys and girls." It made decompressing that much more enjoyable. A fantastic place to stay.

Home sweet home room to rest”

I like our room near in pool side.. It may look old and the aircon is too small for the big room that we have to borrow electric fan but i was able to rest very well. I like the bed :) and the owner is really nice and beautiful. The cons in the place is the beach itself because it doesnt look pleasant to swim. The sand is black and no one swimming compare to other beach resort the have a white sand and the water is soo clean. We just saw fisherman and was able to buy fresh crabs for only 250php 1 kilo and 165php 1 kilo of fish. We went to other beach resort for the island hopping because they dont offer here. We bought food and ask the staff about utensils but they dont have matches, lighter or uling.. how can we cook? I ask them if they can cook the crabs or fish then we will pay and said.. they dont have that service. They didnt help us find to find away.. instead they said theres a near store outside the playa we can buy lighter and uling because they can only lend us kaldero and salt. Its raininggg... outside (i wish they could have ask someone from their staff to help us). The place was highly recomended by a friend of my cousin from guimaras so we thought we can help us for the things that we ask. We went to my cousin friend just to cook the crabs and fish that we bought because we are soo hungry. There is some guest in the resot - foreign people (i think they are from europe) as what we noticed they were pampered by the staff.. but for us.. the staff dont even bother to ask us if "how we are" do we need anything" "how is our stay" .. Yes! The staff is nice and approachable, greeted us good morning and smile.. but they dont give an extra effort to service us .. the last day of our stay is my flight in manila soo i need to go to bacolod.. the wind is strong same the rain and the wave.. Btw, WE ARE THE ONLY Filipino checked in (nov 24 to 26) at that time. I approached the staff regarding the status of the boat.. good thing! The owner (beautiful girl) an

Relaxing resort an hour away from Buenavista port”

    Relax, Clean, Quiet

This hotel, away from the crowded Nueva Valencia (Raymen etc.), is an hour away from the Buenavista port. We had the entire place to ourselves since the other guests checked out the night before. The room was clean and the staff was accommodating. We LOVED the place because it felt like a real vacation, a rest house. The place is on the windy side of Guimaras and is a few kilometers away from the windmill farm. The beach front is relaxing, waves are high, possible surfing during high tide? The tide can go so low that they'll be two small "sandbars". Only, the swimming pool wasn't so clean and the water pressure is low.

    Amazing place”

We visited as a family group and had a wonderful holiday, relaxing and quiet yet with plenty to do with the kids. Our rooms were luxurious, spacious and immaculate with good wifi. The food was delicious, loads of fresh fruit ( best mangoes in the world!). We noticed that there were facilities to self cater by the beach as well but we did not avail of these. It's so close to the beach that we explored along the coast every day and also inland by bike and by motorbike when we wanted to go further afield. ( There is great diving on the far side of the island.) The staff are amazing, friendly and efficient. Mostly though the kids swam in one of the three pools and also in the sea at high tide. They also had plenty to amuse themselves in the playground and gardens. We adults played tennis and relaxed in the evenings on the veranda overlooking the pool and with the sea and neighbouring islands in the background it was a little bit of heaven. All in all fantastic value for money .....we definitely intend to return some day.

    Wonderful Place To Relax”

The resort is staffed by friendly and very hospitable staff. We were given 2 standard rooms with air conditioining away from the social hall so it was quiet at night. Wonderful sea breeze flowing through the rooms when doors are opened with a nice view of the sea and Negros island from a distance. The only thing missing are complimentary toiletries (i.e. guest size soap and shampoo and a face cloth for the guest). Also a adequate size top sheet and blankets would be nice to sleep withl. All in all, I would not hesitate coming to stay at this resort again. :) :) :)

    Fantastic place, but...”

I stayed this resort for 4 nights. I love the location of hotel, it was very silent and peaceful. Nobody was there on the beautiful private beach(sand was very clean, but sea water was somewhat dark). According to the manager, the time i stayed was the low-season. Staffs were really kind. But their hotel system is not so modern. Visitors always can face the owner's family. it seems like the main building is their own house. You can borrow one manual motorbicycle in the resort for 700 pesos, I think it's pretty expensive and its quality also is not so good. But I highly recommend all of their food. Their food is super delicious and its price is affordable. I also recommend visiting wind power plants near the resort. It was the most beautiful scenery that I've ever seen in the Philippines.

    Overpriced”

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Peaceful and quiet.

In my opinion this resort is overpriced for what you actually get there. according to the description of the resort there is wi-fi in all rooms, however this is not the case. There was no wi-fi available except for in the lobby area, and this was often also not available for the time I was there. Although the rooms were large enough they were not I feel of sufficient standard to warrant 2 stars. Another negative for the resort is that the kitchen staff leave at around 6pm although you can place orders in which will be served up until 7pm. I realize that this might be usual for Guimaras as most eating places closed very early, however, there should be at least some simple snacks available for people who would like to eat a bit later. Although being quite isolated can be an attraction for some, it was not very convenient as a place to stay, especially if you do not have your own transport. The main positive of the resort was the staff who provided good friendly service. Unfortunately however, compared to many places I have stayed in the Philippines I would say that this establishment is overpriced for what you get.

    Great staff but quite remote”

Staff were incredibly friendly. When we started to head out at night to a restaurant we were intercepted 5 mins into walking where two staff picked us up on motorbikes and took us there because they were worried about us getting lost. In terms of the hotel, it is probably typical of a province type resort. It's very remote, most things close at 7pm. The place itself was clean and presentable though perhaps not the thing you would look for if modern is to your taste. There is a couple of reasonable pools though not huge and some token gym equipment. There is a kid's playground from yesteryear that brings back memories. The beach is very small and when the tide comes in, almost non-existent so don't go here for the beach. The food here is excellent. Whoever is in the kitchen, take a bow. The chicken kiev was superb!

    Comfortable Stay for Families”

Pros: Rooms are spacious, have extra mattresses, and are kept quite clean. We actually could have fit our whole group in fewer rooms. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. It's a big property where the children had a lot of room to play. Cons: Location isn't ideal since it's far from the island hopping areas. WiFi didn't reach the Superior rooms that are located outside of the main building.

The room was spacious & very clean. Bathroom was w/o a shower curtain but had enough water always. Although its location was far from the "main action" along Nueva Valencia, it offered privacy & a ready pool. The beachfront was wide & not as beautiful as the NV side but also had a nice view devoid of a public beach. We enjoyed the selfies.... The food stood out since it was not that pricey but delicious.

The hotel is situated about 40 mins from Buenavista. The place looks better than it actually is, rooms are spartan, with no wardrobes, we upgraded and wasn’t much improvement as shower was hot but low flow, it did have a bath. The pool was dirty and cloudy, adding chlorine, doesnt necessarily clean a pool, you would like to swim in clean clear water, but no such luck. No WiFi or TV reception, also no network so unable to txt friends or family. The food was very good and the staff most helpful, just a oity the hotel falls down on other fronts
