I recently spent 4 nights here, and here are a few takeaways: 1) The hotel is a little bit older, which means a) the rooms are a little bit worn/dated, but b) also bigger than the standard single rooms at newer business hotels. 2) The hotel is impeccably clean, and the service is extremely gracious despite limited English speaking staff. They will help with luggage storage, directions, anything hotel related. I was on the 9th floor and the WiFi in the room was sometimes spotty. They gave me a WiFi extender to plug into my room, and the problem was fixed in less than a minute. Great, professional staff. 3) Location is a 6-8 minute walk from the train station for both the JR line and the local line. Many bus routes are within a couple of block radius. You can also walk from the hotel 15-30 minutes to most sites in the city itself (fish market, park, Canal City etc) 4) Beds are extremely firm, which is good for the back, but it’s not a plush comfortable bed. It took me a night to get used to it. 5) Western/Italian restaurant in the lobby with a buffet breakfast. Nice option, but there are plenty of other restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and bars in the direct vicinity I’d definitely return here as the value can’t be beat.

Facilities with the appearance of traditional European hotel are well-managed though the premises seem to be relatively old. Tenjin shopping area is within walking distance. However, I did not enjoy the neighborhood walkabout since I just stayed for teleworking...

Good choice, good location”
Very close to 天神station, about 5 man walk. there are convience stores such as 7-11, Lawson and familymart nearby, no problem for food and drink. Room is small and old fashioned decoration but clean, and there is place for you to choose lotion, facial cream, tea , coffee etc.

Fantastic Little Hotel in Walking Distance of Everything”
I had a lovely time at the Plaza Hotel and could get almost everywhere with a 30+ min walk at most and a bus for those places just out of reach. Only issue I had was when I wanted to extend my stay for a few more days, the staff said they only accept internet bookings.

Good value for money”
Very nice and clean old hotel. Still uses physical keys but thats not a problem, very clean room and soft bedding. Looks like an old hotel but feels comfortable. Twin room is spacious, enough space for giant suitcases. Theres a coin laundry at the hotel. Bathroom is quite spacious with bidet. Access is awesome: just 5 mins walk from Tenjin, and located in a high-end boutique/store street.

This time I was given a beautiful room, and able to check in a little early. Later I had difficulty in securing a taxi reservation for the morning and a staff member at Reception spent a long time on my behalf calling different taxi companies, until she met with success. Really grateful for her help.

The location of the accommodation is the best, the room is in good condition, the staff is kind and good, but there is no restaurant to eat breakfast. Other than that, I think it is a good hotel for the price.

Nothing fancy; just the essentials”
The rooms are adequately appointed. They're clean and quiet and the staff are friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the room was very warm and there was no way to cool it aside from opening the window. (Turning on the AC produced heat.) There was parking available at a very nearby garage for ¥1200/overnight. Lots of restaurants very close, too.
