i love the arts hanging everywhere, ambiance is so relaxing, plus with free hot and cold water in kublai cafe., location is superb near korean food mart, food stall and mall, one ride going to airport to port to market... i will definitely stay here again.

Unique and quirky hotel”
Kudos to the friendly staff and artworks installed in the building. Our only complaint is the odor coming from the drainage of the bathroom. Overall, we had a pleasant experience staying at this hotel.

The place is like an Art Gallery. Every walls and corners of the place is full of artwork. Which is contrasting with the room, very simple with clean white walls and beddings. I had a nice stay.

You Get What You Paid ”
Pros: - affordable - good location - awesome art gallery - one of the attractions in the city you must visit - hospitable staff Cons: - no lift - building’s not updated and the hallway lightings make things creepy (or maybe just some effects for the artworks not sure) - the AC is working well but it’s really old and no cover - some cleaning staff accidentally left a dirty rug hanging on the wall lighting - no bidet in the comfort room - the bed’s like going to bury you to your sleep (literally) and it squeaks even when you move an inch.

Lots of arts from entrance, stairs to hallways, but dont worry your room is safe. I like our room it has 2 big glass walls, such natural light is awesome.

We booked a one-night stay at the Ponce Suites Gallery Hotel but had to move to another hotel at around midnight because an elderly member of our family found the artwork unsettling. That, of course, was by no means the hotel's fault and just goes to show that this hotel is most ideal for those who appreciate all things out of the ordinary. The walls of the corridors are covered floor to ceiling in photographs, paintings and sculptures. Not everyone may appreciate the artwork, but the experience of seeing them and how they turn the entire hotel into an art gallery is in itself engaging. The rooms are spartan but at the price they are offered at with breakfast included in the room rate, it is all beyond reasonable. Front desk staff may seem a tad shy but they immediately attend to guest's needs. The owner's sister responded to our email inquiries and she was a delight to correspond with. She even gave us a free room upgrade. Pizza at the restaurant was served with slices of Davao sausages, a flavor profile as unique as the hotel itself. All things considered, value for money is beyond compare.

Feast for the Eyes”
Ponce Suites is indeed a feast for the eyes. If I could stay for another day, I would, just to admire and spend more time exploring each hotel floor. The rooftop is my favorite part of the hotel, with access to wifi, cool breeze and the amazing artworks surrounding me, really sets the mood. The staff has been most attentive and friendly and it made me feel like I've never left home.

We regulary stay in Ponce Suites when i visit Davao (every couple of months), we normally book a standard double room. This time we had time to book in advance. I was disappointed to see i got the same room as the the standard double when we paid the extra for a matrimonail super! Would like to see a kettle in the rooms also, its nice to have a coffee in the mornings without having to get fully ready to get one. The owner George his wife and all the staff are great however and we will carry on using the Ponce.

Quirky but eclectic hotel”
The Ponce' Suites is well located for exploring the city of Davao. The rooms are slightly dated, and some wear is evident, but the location, safety and security, and quirky art work lends and ambiance that's quite tolerable and enjoyable.

Kitschy/quirky hotel w/great ambiance!”
My buddy who'd never been to Davao before loved the place, ( he's "into" art )! This place has been designed/decorated top t bottom by an eccentric/eclectic artist,and some of his prolific works are pretty amazing! The rooms are a little dated and showing a little wear, but for the price, and with the place being clean and secure, who can complain!?! It's in a quiet residential neighborhood, but only five minutes walk from anything you'd need at the plazas surrounding the Ayaala Abreeza Mall, and the older, Victoria Mall. Groceries, drugs, toiletries, airline offices, bus tickets, fast food, laundries, coffee shops, souveniers, are all right there.

The Ponce' Suites was once owned/operated by an artist and his mother, and I've stayed there many times over the years. However, this year a British guy, or with a British accent anyway, seemed to be managing/running things, so I don;t know if ownership has changed but management certainly has appeared to? In any case he was painting and doing some repair work. And, to be fair this IS a budget hotel, and a lot of the furnishings and equipment are really in need of maintenance and repair. The place still has its charm tho, and the price is right, the staff friendly ands courteous, the location is great, and it's still quiet and safe. I'd continue to stay there.

Another Amazing Stay at a Unique Hotel ”
I stayed at this hotel in July 2012 and I had always wanted to go back there. In 2012 there was a problem with the hot water going cold; but this time there was no problems at all. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to be staying in Davao because it really is second to none in the Philippines. This isn't a five-star place with lots of glitz and glam, rather it is a journey through an artist's life with many captivating things to see. I'm going to have my relatives stay here for our wedding later on, I can't get enough of it.

An Unconvention Center”
a very unconventional hotel in davao city. nice location as it is near the main road and three shopping malls. also acts as an art gallery as there are a lot of artworks displayed throughout the entire hotel. although rooms are a bit old already, it adds to the mystic feeling of the place. rooms are also quite small but if you are in a budget and you just need a place to rest, you should definitely check out this hotel. the manager and staff are also very accommodating.

We had a great and satisfying stay, the location is very convenient for shopping as well due to it's accessibility to shopping centers and is also a few minutes away from the airport.It's resto bar served delicious foods and drinks at a very affordable price. We could have a good walk, or jog in the early morning, safe location and not too crowded. Victoria Plaza Mall and Abreeza Mall was a walking distance away, and a lot of restaurants as well as KTV bars and Billiard pools , massage parlors and beauty parlors . No boring moments while i stayed in the hotel, especially seeing the vast collection of artworks of various media made by one person only popularly known as Kublai. An added feature of the hotel is that it has a dental clinic...
