Portree Pod

This pod was absolutely perfect, although compact it had all the facilities that we needed and was really comfortable. There is also a small seating area outside to enjoy if the weather is good and the pod is very private. The location is really good, very close to the supermarket and only a few minutes walk to the centre of Portree. As for Covid safety it was very well thought out. We received all the information we needed up front, there were sanitisers at the outside gate and the pod door. Unfortunately that also meant that our host could not meet us in person but as they live in the house next door they are readily available if needed. The little extras like fresh milk & bread and tea and coffee are really helpful, especially after a long journey. We will definitely be trying to book the pod again for our next trip.

The pod has everything you could wish for. It is extremely comfortable and warm. it’s around a 15 minute walk into town, so fairly central. It has its own parking space and a lovely little courtyard which gets the sun in the morning. Our host supplied a generous welcome pack.

We can’t fault it. everything is high end and stylish. Cooking facilities are limited to a microwave but as we ate out it wasn’t an issue and there is a toaster and kettle for making breakfast.

The pod was a home away from home. Very clean and had everything you could need. The location was fantastic only a 15 minute walk into the centre of Portree. The owner had left milk in the fridge for making tea and coffee and there was pancakes for breakfast in the morning :) also a coffee machine which was great. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Skye

If I was being picky a blackout blind for the door would be good as to not let any light in however this is only personal preference

The facilities are amazing and very clean. We did not know what to expect with this pod being beside the owners home however do not let this put you off. While the owner was always available to contact, your privacy is guaranteed. The pod was also stocked with some essentials for our arrival. This place honestly exceeded our expectations and I would recommend the Portree Pod.

We stayed for three night and it was everything we wanted! It was clean and cosy with lovely bedding and towels, the fridge had Bread, pancakes, butter, milk, bottles of water and fresh orange, there was also tubs of porridge and breakfast bars and jams. Perfect quiet location but a 10 min walk down into Portree and just round the corner from a coop so hand for picnic stuff if out exploring! I would definitely not hesitate to recommend this property.

The beautiful wee touches from the host, the location is perfect for going too and from, the town is less than 5 minutes by car, a coop literally a 5 minute walk away and we were less than an hour away from all the things we wanted to do. The facilities are clean and well equipped for what we needed and generally such a lovely place to stay! We will definitely stay again on our next trip up!

Can’t fault Portree Pod at all!

This is the first time I have stayed in a pod and it was brilliant, immaculate inside and out with everything you could ever need when self catering. Marion provided great comms before and during our stay and made a point of saying hello which was very much appreciated in what is very strange times. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay in a great central location for seeing this stunning island. We will be back for sure, thanks again Marion for making our stay so good.

The pod was so cute and so private! It was super clean and comfy and so spacious. The hosts were so friendly and made sure that we were well fed by providing us with yummy snacks! Absolutely recommend Portree Pod :) thank you!!!

Nothing.. I loved it!

We loved staying here and highly recommend it for two people. It was a quick walk into town and near a grocery store. The kitchenette was stocked with continental breakfast and had a refrigerator, electric kettle, coffee machine, and sink.

We were not expecting it to be attached to a house so we were confused when we were looking for it in the dark. Perhaps you could add a small light to the Portree Pod sign or add a photo of the full house to the advertisement. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Super cute and comfy, well equipped including kitchen equipment and supplies I didn’t expect. Lots of snacks and breakfast goodies left for us. A short walk to town and also grocery store. First working TV we’ve encountered, and enjoyed the sitting area as well. Plus lovely, private outdoor patio area. Very small, but for just two of us on a short stay it was perfect.

Marion was very welcoming. The pod was spotless and warm. The bed was so comfy and we had everything we could need for our stay. Marion had provided some snacks and a bottle of Prosecco, we had fresh towels and plenty of toiletries. The next door neighbour has the friendliest cat called Harvey and he was an excellent little bonus 😊

Super cosy, little wooden haven - fantastic to stay for a short time. Very convenient location, 5 min. walk to Co-op and ~10 min. to the town centre. We even got a nice welcome package from our hosts, incl. full fridge and a bottle of wine! It was a truly lovely stay!

Very well furnished pod. Hosts were very helpful and had stocked up on breakfast items and milk for me. Great location for large part of Skye. Nice quiet area and had privacy.

Very minor thing but a few more hooks to hang things on would have been useful. Good size for me as a solo traveller on a photography trip.

Marion the owner is so lovely and friendly. The location is great, so handy for everything we wanted to do and see. The facilities were great, lots of little extra touches which made it more special. Honestly cannot recommend the Portree pod enough!! It’s amazing!!

Everything was perfect!

Well-equipped and spotless pod with everything you need to enjoy your stay (fridge, toaster, couch, kettle, etc). The owners who live nearby are absolutely lovely - we found tea and coffee material, small bowls of oat, chocolate bread and cereal bars waiting for us when we arrived. The attention was really sweet.

Had everything you needed for a short stay. Lovely wee secluded garden was a bonus and a 10 minute walk into centre of Portree. Very pleasant hosts who were there if you needed them but gave you, your own space. Ps parking space also.

Spotlessly clean. Excellent location. Lovely welcome supplies. Nice touch having Skye soap and hand sanitiser available. Lovely coffee machine. Highly recommended.
