Ideal location”
Loved our stay at the prince of wales it's a huge traditional hotel. Location is perfect and close to everything. Car park was £6 for 24 hours. We opted for room only and had breakfast at Wetherspoons which is opposite. Room was spacious with a big bathroom. Bar prices were really reasonable and staff were friendly and helpful there was a singer in the lounge in the evening which we enjoyed while having a drink. planning on a weekend in the summer in southport and will definitely stay here again when we go

Stay here a few times every month..Great place to stay tho..Im not to happy tho, because I wanted to find out about some prices about staying the night again the following week..So I asked the receptionist called Emma, which is cheaper...Online or booking in the Hotel,and she had a horrible attitude with me...Now it makes me feel that i cant ask questions again now at the reception. .but apart from that..All the staff are great and work very Hard especially Ayman and Memo..Great hotel..always go back to stay there again

Once grand Hotel.. needs some TLC”
The hotel was clean but finding our room was very difficult. The layout resembles a rabbit warren in parts and signs were confusing. The room was nice enough but very dated and boiling hot. Unfortunately there was, what i assume to be an aircon unit or something similar, which was very loud and kept us awake, right outside the window (which we had to keep open due to the heat) the double bed was very small.. luckily our room had 2 single beds also, so my husband slept on this. There was also a lack of power points in the room. The bed was comfy though.. so all in all not too bad.. but overpriced compared to other budget hotels that are more modern in design

Booked the hotel because they had parking, the hotel never said it was £6.00 a night which I thought was a con and few more people where shocked, if they said there was an additional charge up front that would have been better, breakfast also extra , there was quite a few guests there for a rally which is going to be an annual event and will put them off

Firstly we checked in and the receptionist says Agoda are awful can never get in touch with them.. Shocked to say the least you don't bad mouth. Are room was 108 hotel badly signposted couldn't find our room at first. The room was shocking mildew on windows chipped woodwork stains on bathroom ceiling. Bedroom cracked on ceiling disgusting. The receptionist said they done the best to accommodate us as they had a 60s night on and the hotel was really busy. The car park isn't owned by the hotel a car park company owns it you have to pay £4 for overnight stay.

Great building but very dirty shabby and dated hotel ”
This hotel is very shabby and very dated. The staff need to learn to knock on the door before just putting in there own key and just walking in on us well before check out time. Would I stay here again ? Absolutely NOTE. Would I recommend a friend? Not a chance.

I stayed here with my son . When I booked through agoda on the booking confirmation it said benefit (wifi) when I arrived there wasn't any WiFi. And the staff at the hotel was very rude. Then as I stayed in the room. There was loads of pigeons in the loft that kept me and my son awake all night . I told reception in the morning the manager wasn't interested and was very rude. Then after a lot of hassle moaning about this they then moved us into another room. Which was directly in front of the lift . Which you could hear everyone pressing the button and talking all the time. In the room they also moved us into had a fire door which had gaps all around it to the next room next door to us. Which then I had no sleep because the people in the next room was snoring very loud . It was like they was in my room. I complained to hotel but nothing was done about this. I also complained to agoda and nothing still hasn't been done . SHOCKING

No issues with staff at all easy check in Room tiny but clean mainly except windows only 1 plug socket ?? Breakfast was fine staff polite and efficient I except you get what you pay for and only use room as a base BUT the bed was atrocious like sleeping on a brick and 1 pillow is just not enough

Discusting hotel. Shabbiest place I’ve ever been. Holes in the walls, holes in the bed sheets, windows filthy, try to draw curtains and they fell down , so unsafe and wardrobe fell out it’s wall bracket on to me which injured my arm. Staff not bothered as they had so many complaints from other guests they were unable to help. Just don’t go

hotel very out dated would have been fantastic hotel the 1980s food to be fair was very good enjoyed the food the whole building needs work been done on it be safe to say we wont be booking there again until some money been spent on the place there was a few people who i spoke to felt the same way about the building, rooms,etc staff were very friendly though just a shame on the brittania company that they dont seem to be looking after the hotel the prince of wales southport
