It was clean and tidy, they let us check in quite a bit earlier than our scheduled time and were lovely about it. The room was perfect, beds comfy and the bathroom was updated. Breakfast was wonderful and really, the staff were all very helpful and friendly

Great location. ”

Brooks Guesthouse was a great place to stay. Nice lounge, breakfast area and trust bar. The rooms were clean and elegant, so was the bathroom. It was extremely hot when we were there, and being on the ground floor towards the back, it was more or less impossible to get any fresh air. Our attempt to open the door/ window failed, it turned out to be locked, and no key. Which means there was no fire escape. As the staff are not at the guest house during the night, we couldn't be helped. The absence of staff and locked window made me think of fire security. There should at least be some information of routines and for the room we stayed in, an instruction regarding opening the window. This said, the location was perfect as can be and everything very delicate and clean. Anne, Oslo

Amazing”

Amazing location, the friendliest and most welcoming staff! They were very helpful! The stairs are tight, but that’s nothing to be upset about because you’re staying in an amazing place in an awesome location!! Super close to town, just a short 5 minute stroll!!

Best hotel in our europe trip ”

Love everything. Love Bath. the only downside is there no private parking. But all other facilities in the room exceeded our expectation :).

The hotel is quite comfortable. With luggage and children, we need to overcome the steps leading to the hotel. Parking is not available onsite, but is sufficiently easy once we oriented ourselves. Overall, we are happy with the location and ease of driving there.

Great location”

This was a great place to stay, my only negative was being asked to pay £9.50 for breakfast which is excessive I think. My friend who was vegetarian didn't even get a veggie sausage!

1 Mbps WiFi for whole floor”

This guess house no doubt is clean and comfortable with warm towels and good pressured water. But the slow and frequent disconnection of the WiFi service is an unbearable shortfall. The WiFi properties shows the speed is only 1Mbp and shared by five to six rooms for the whole 1st floor. The capacity is so little that the staff has to reset the modem from time to time in order to gain new capacity. The whole system will paralyze after the staff gone back at 8.00pm. The house owner didn't realize that WiFi has been part of our lives and very important to tourists. Not only that WiFi is meant for social contact but also important channel for us to check and book our onward transportation as well as our local tour. There is a way to improve this shortfall if the owner is willing to do it. If you do not use WiFi, this is a good guess house.

Lovely place”

I really enjoyed my stay at Brooks. The staff was very helpful as we were visiting Bath for the first time. The room was a good size although I did have a bit of a problem with the shower, but nothing really bad. I would come back again.

Great location and helpful staff”

The guesthouse is walking distance to town and wasn't hard to get a parking lot around. Staffs are friendly and helpful with any questions.

Cosy room and great shower ”

The host is extremely friendly and engaging. As we are only staying for a night and leaving the first thing in the morning, he suggested to us to park at a nearby car park for £2, instead of paying £5 for his parking permit for 24hr. Room is cosy and clean, with heater and fan. Bed is very comfortable. Try to request for a room on the low floor, as the stairway is very narrow.

We had a lovely time in Bath, the hotel was within walking distance of the town, the staff were lovely, would come back again

Disappointing. We were in a standard double room. The duvet was too small for us and the decor fell short of our expectations. The mattress was very hard. I mentioned my disappointment to the receptionist who said we should have opted for a king or superior room. It was very expensive for the standard of accommodation. My expectations were based on website photographs and reviews that do not reflect the standard of a standard double bedroom.

Very comfortable and quiet guesthouse”

A very comfortable couple of nights spent here. King room was two beds pushed together which just means all the more space! Nothing that particularly stands out as problematic or amazing - it was just a good comfortable room. The waiter at breakfast was brilliant - efficient and amusing. One of the receptionists was unfriendly at times - sometimes when just saying hello or goodbye coming in or out would be completely ignored! Apart from that, a great little place.

Brooks guest house bath / A touch of class for all”

We stayed at the Brooks guest house as a base for a weekend break to celebrate my 40th and to make a start on Christmas shopping in bath as the shopping areas accommodate all needs in a concentrated area. The Brooks guest house is located a close 10mins walk from the main centre and easily within comfortable walking distance so No need to worry about parking or taxis extra. We hit the town on the Friday night and found some lovely pubs with great atmospheres and friendly people to spend some time and a host of restaurants to suit all our need with my partner being a vegetarian and myself a big meat fan it can sometimes be hard to find a balance. We spent all day Saturday from 10am till 7pm shopping around bath and was happily within a close enough distance to return to the guest house to off load shopping bags on 2 occasions during the day. Bath is a city of beauty and endless pretty streets of every type of shop to suit everyone's pocket (ARMARNI TO PRIMARNI ) - (H SAMUALS to GOLDSMITHS) - (CURRYS TO BANGER OLSON) they have the full range from high end designer to normal every day high street bands.
