Overpriced”

£250 for a night in a Crowne Plaza! Room was nice and comfortable but the breakfast was horrible, deep fried food, powdered eggs, why can't UK hotels provide a decent freshly cooked breakfast.

Very happy with the hotel however I requested a accessible room for my mobility. ”

Unhappy with booking almost a year and a half early not to get a room to meet my mobility needs. The hotel said that this was the fault of the booking agency as they had not passed on this request and they showed me proof of this. I shall be complaining to Agoda for such a mistake. The hotel and staff were great the breakfast was average at best. We would use this hotel in future.

Lovely & clean. Comfortable bed. Ideal for events at the Arena. 2 minutes walk away. Will stay every time we are at concerts here.

The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous. Questions were answered promptly, we had booked a room for 3, and the room was set up for us, but there was only 2 cups and glasses. An extra cup and glass were brought to us within minutes. The only negative to our stay was a disappointing meal in the bar on Saturday evening, and , not a fault of the hotel, the rude and arrogant behaviour of the Emirates cabin crew who use the hotel as a meeting point.

The staff were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms specious and clean. Meals although basic were well cooked with good portions.

Concert stopover”

Stayed for one night after a concert at the NEC Arena. Although a bit expensive the location is excellent for the arena, just a short walk away. Although we didn't eat in the hotel we did check out the menu and thought it looked reasonable, not as expensive as we expected and a good choice. Yes it is pricey but for convenience if you are visiting the NEC you cannot beat it.

We always stay here for the UK Games Expo at the NEC. It is the perfect location as we can get to the Expo in five minutes and we are also close to the airport as well as Resorts World. The staff at the hotel are always very friendly and helpful. The room is really clean and quite roomy. We had three people sharing the room and yet we never felt cramped. WE would definitely recommend the Crowne Plaza hotel.

So close to amenities.”

We were off to see Hugh jackman at the genting arena, this hotel is so close to everything. The rail line, the restaurants( would recommend booking if going to a concert, show). The hotel itself is so peaceful, has its own car park and the breakfast is well worth booking.

Double charged, and money still hasn't been refunded ”

Until now my money has not been refunded by the hotel. I had paid in full when completed the booking with Agoda in January 2019, only to have my credit card being charged by the hotel on the day after I checked out (credit card charged on the 20th April 2019). Agoda has confirmed with the hotel that the hotel had made a mistake and my money was supposed to be refunded 5 days ago. Until now nothing has been done. This is very disappointing. Agoda should have been more proactive in pursuing this matter since I have been using Agoda for years.

Ideal for NEC”

Just a short walk from the NEC, ideal if that's why you are here. Also adjacent to Resorts World for retail and food.

Terrible check in & check out process handled poorly by staff when they thought I had only paid for one of my two room bookings which they claim was an Agoda miscommunication + room was quite small.

The only problem was the sofa bed was very uncomfortable you could literally feel every single spring

Nice Hotel and Great Location to NEC”

This is my 2nd stay at the hotel as it has good location (10 minutes walk to NEC & train station) and provides good breakfast. But this time when I checked in the lady who handled me see my passport and say “you’re not registered! I couldn’t find your name.” in unfriendly manner. Without doing any extra effort. Even after I show her my voucher from Agoda. She said the same thing. Imagine having this kind of service after 24 hours flight. After I pointed out my name on the voucher (looks like it her 1st time seeing Agoda Voucher) then she said: let me check with (I forgot whom she mentioned). She went in to the office, found my name and suddenly she put on this nice attitude. The cleaning service was also strange. After 1st night they didn’t refill the coffee and milk. On my 4th (last night) they didn’t wash the cup and tea spoon. I still could see my lipstick stain from the morning. Nor empty the trash bin. This would be ok service for a hostel

Typically we do not pay this much for a hotel. We were not in the hotel long. IT was very posh and the staff were amazing and accommodating to our larger group

Ideal over night stay for show at NEC, plenty of restaurants to eat, 2 minute walk and only 5 min walk to Genting arena. Comfortable and clean room with all amenities. Got a great deal through Agoda.

Enjoyed my stay”

Much better than Hilton nearby... less hectic, friendlier staff, better ambience around hotel and rooms warmer and more welcoming. Will stay again for next NEC show
