Got a great price. The room was very large & spotlessly clean. Lovely cocktails in the champagne bar. Perfect location with everything to hand. 100% recommend.

Birthday weekend in Glasgow ”
Ideal location if travelling by train. Reception staff were welcoming and check in was easy, even gave us vouchers for a glass of fizz at the bar since it was my birthday (lovely touch). Room was nice overlooking the street which was fine but not very picturesque. Champagne bar is lovely, difficult to get a seat during busy periods but one of the bar staff let the team down with her direct attitude but they were very busy. Most of the staff spoke when you passed which I think is important apart from one which again let the team down. I wouldn’t let this put you off as it is a lovely hotel with great history.

Fantastic hotel and room, great bar for relaxing in at the end of the day. Breakfast was like a zoo though, extremely busy and queuing for tables. Food was good though and kept well stocked up. Would certainly return.

A very conveniently located hotel attached to Glasgow Central. The hotel is near many local conveniences. There are nice spacious rooms and a decent champagne bar .

Very good rate. Just beside Glasgow central station. Big rooms. ”
We booked an adjoining rm but when we arrived theres no more available so they gave us a big room (i think its their suite) and a regular room almost near to the first room. Spacious. Clean toilet. Big beds and comfy, crisp white linens, and high celing rooms. The only downside is the carpet , its a little worn out. Frint desk staff are friendly , they gave us til 2pm check out time for free (cos we stayed for 3nights maybe) and kept our luggages for free so we can still go around before we head out to London. all in all , our stay was great, near the stations even near to the hop on hop off bus stop . And everything is walking distance, restos, convenient stores shopping malls like house of fraser and other boutiques. Will stay here again when we come back.

We stayed for one night on a shopping, cultural trip. Perfect location, came straight off the train and into the hotel,we were able to get into the room even though we were several hours early. It’s a stunning big old hotel, little shabby in places but overall the room was great. Liked the White Company products. Room was massive, the size of it felt luxurious. Right in the centre of Glasgow, everything easy to get to. My only gripe was the soundproofing or lack of? No idea what was happening upstairs but kept us awake for quite a bit of the night- almost sounded like bare floorboards, very loud, lots of thudding which woke us several times. Other than that we loved it and would hope to use the Grand Central again.

Nice hotel in a great location. Some of the internal decor and bedrooms are a bit tired. TV was old and only had 4 channels working. Needs to be large LED smart TV with Freeview at the very least. Very noisy being right in the city centre so take your earplugs.
