Room is spacious and clean, with exception to the toilet (for some reason, the toilet smelled like pee throughout the stay, despite having had the room cleaned twice over 5 days period). Other than that, we had a pleasant day. Layout of the room was very practical. Reception speaks limited English, which is quite common in Jeju in comparison to Seoul. Bathtub/shower system is terrible. Should seriously install shower curtains in place. They switched the hotel's air cooling system to heating system at the end of October so it was very stuffy in the room. As a hotel, guests should have an option to turn on heating or cooling, as they wish and not be dictated by the management. When I called to enquire, they advised that we should open the window instead (first time I've ever heard!!!). Of course, with that we had mosquitoes in the room (hence why they provided mosquito repellant); weirdest encounter with hotels.

Very Good Hotel!”

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Hotel the One and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends. The hotel is situated in the heart of downtown Jeju and close to all amenities / restaurants etc. It's also very convenient for buses to navigate your way around the island. We visited lots of attractions all over the island including a trip to Udo Island by ferry. The ferry port is about an hour and 10 minutes away by bus and a very scenic journey too. A tour in itself! The reception staff helped us with directions and the lady even drew us a map. The rooms themselves were spotlessly clean and although not huge were perfectly adequate with everything you would expect or need. As it's a new hotel, the fixtures and fittings are all very new and modern. In fact, throughout our stay we found all of the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Some of the larger hotels could learn something from the great staff at this hotel. We did encounter a slight problem on the second afternoon when we returned to our room. There was a strong smell coming from the toilet / drain which is something that could happen in any hotel. We reported the problem to reception and the very friendly and efficient young man went out of his way to resolve the problem and find us another room. This he did relatively quickly which was no small task as the hotel was nearly fully booked and we were very happy with the way this was dealt with. It's the mark of a good hotel when matters like this are handled well and ours certainly was. I think the hotel could make use of the bar more as often in the evenings you have to ask for service at reception and then the server usually disappears again to perform other tasks presumably. The bar could be the hub of the hotel as visitors return from their excursions but sadly it seems rarely used probably because of the lack of service / permanent staffing. This is a management issue and in now way the fault of the staff. I'm sure

Room is spacious. However toilet and shower door are made of glass and see through therefore no privacy. No gym only a restaurant that serves breakfast. Covenience stores and eateries within walking distance

Honeymoon”

We stay for 1 night after touch down on Jeju late noon. The hotel is very new and well maintained. The frontdesk staff is very friendly and helpful. He helps to enter the coordinate location of the hotel (car rental gps is not updated with this new hotel) so that we could find out way back from dinner.

Room is big, location so-so surrounded by lot small hotel(motel) and convenience stores ”

Room is big but lightening in the room are very down, especially in toilet. Hotel concierge staff wasn't very good in speaking English when we asked for some travel advises, no assistance even if you are carrying big or many luggages upon check-in. However, room cleaners was very polite whenever and wherever they see you within the hotel. Sad is that if you bought lots of street foods, you wouldn't be able to heat them up after 10pm as the hotel restaurant is closed. Daily two bottles of mineral water and two packs each of tea and coffee refilled daily, also come along with hair dryer and shampoo and stuff. We won't advise solo female traveler even though location is consider okay because it was surrounded by lot small hotels and motels, which we did met a few drunkards when on the way back.

Brand new hotel in the city”

New hotel conveniently located in the city, walking distance to shopping area and restaurants. As it is a brand new hotel, all facilities in good condition. Room clean and neat, good enough for 2 person.

good hotel with funny air con”

good hotel but i will not stay here again. when i go there, its quite funny that the air conditioner is central. so when a room set the air-con 26 degree, all the room in that level will be the same. i cannot sleep because its very hot. i already complain but the staff cannot do anything because its hotel setting, the only can appologize to the inconvenience.

New hotel with modern facilities”

The downside of this hotel is that the front desk staffs are not proficient in English. During the last night of our stay, the air-conditioner was not working throughout the whole night until we check out in next morning. Upon checking out, we requested the staff to book taxi for us to airport but was told there's no taxi available and we were left to walk in a heavy downpour to the main road to get taxi on our own.

When I reach at night I was told the staff check in , and staff reallly reallly not smile look bad face that night guy , I just told him I want check in , and suddenly second customer come here to ask a lot things , and the staff still talk to them I'm still wait and wait , really look bad , this is first and last to stay this hotel , staff are bad , not friendly ,

Hotel staff can speak English pretty good, room was new and clean, not really spacious for 4 people but the price was right
