Great hotel and staff,good location close to good restaurants.City centre very close by,please note that there is a lot of building works being done over next few months close to the hotel.But it is still a great place to be.

One of the best options in Birmingham. Great position. Good rooms. May be best to try to get a room that does not face over the construction site that is on one side (although the sound-proofing is not bad).

Very pleasant stay but disappointing pool facilities”
I stayed here with my sister for her birthday and the hotel went above and beyond and decorated the room with roses, chocolates, balloons and a card - such a lovely surprise beside the towel swan upon arrival! The hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a great breakfast selection and the staff were all very friendly. The only downside was the pool facilities. The swimming pool was luke warm and all one length - too deep for even a girl of 5ft 9 to stand. This made it very difficult to relax when you have to doggy paddle for the entirety of the swim. The steam room wasn't very hot and the jacuzzi (which is ridiculously tiny) was out of order. Overall a lovely stay if you want good service and the ideal location, but not if you want a spa weekend.

Comfortable stay”
It has all the necessary amenities, including room slippers, various herbal tea and decaffeinated coffee for those who can’t take caffeine. The bed mattress is thick and comfortable, not too hard and not too soft. Enjoyed my stay.

Splendid hotel - but the air conditioning system is noisy and you are constantly woken out of a night's sleep by it constantly turning itself on and off. And I'm a heavy sleeper!

We were greeted by very nice porter when we arrived. He helped us with our luggages. The hotel location is not the best but good enough.

Strange charging practices ”
I pre paid for my room.. On arrival she swiped my credit card and muttered something about a £40 limit. The next morning I saw they had taken £40 out of my account. On checkout I avoided the express check out to ask about the random £40. I was told it was standard practice (never happened to me at any other hotel) and if I have him my card he would refund it. Not sure how they refund it if u express checkout but so far my refund isn't showing on my account.

We were greeted warmly by very friendly porter who then deliver our luggages up. The location is not too bad but there is a slope going up small hill in order to go to the hotel.

Family visit to Birmingham”
We chose this hotel because of reviews. Unfortunately not exactly what we expected. Hotel decor beautiful and location very good. No parking at hotel as always full. Hotel rooms comfortable but Maintenance and housekeeping very poor. Remote for tv not working. Most tv channels not working. Toilet joint leaking. Layout of shower not very useful as water splashes out of bath tub. Dust in the rooms. Finger marks all over door knobs and light switches. Not very hygienic considering Covid. Obviously cleanliness in rooms is not a priority for this establishment. I doubt I would return again. We paid more thinking this hotel was top rated but if you are well travelled like us, it will disappoint.
