Nicest place we’ve stayed at in Blackpool ”
Lovely room with a bay window and partial sea view. Lots of amenities, although we didn’t use any. Decent WiFi. Comfortable and clean rooms. Quality of the room was higher than the others we’ve been to in Blackpool. Breakfast buffet was ok, good selection and variety even for a veggie.
Just Perfect”
As a family travelling with young children we wanted a hotel which was walking distance to everything we wanted. We found The Imperial exactly what we needed. We arrived at 3.00 pm and all 3 rooms were available and a very good size. We were visiting for the Illuminations and after a walk along the promenade with the children aged 3 and 6 we were able to walk back to the big illuminations at Bispham. On the way back we caught a tram which stopped just outside the hotel. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. We will be booking again at this hotel.
Incrível”
stopped over for the night big hotel my very clean
Room”
Asked for a dub bed got a single am 19 stone 22nd each side keeper fully out of bed sleeved on floor all night
Not recommended…. ”
Friendly staff, old furniture and the rooms carpet and chairs not clean mugs was not washed well, kettle dirty. No fridge. Not recomended.
Aceitável”
The hotel was lovely. The reception staff were okay, not over helpful. What put us off was that we had to pay £6 everyday to park our car in the hotel grounds. We should have been told when we checked in that there was a charge to park our car. I couldn't believe that they charged paying guests, it seemed unbelievable. That's why I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
Excellent value for money”
This is a clean, modern, nicely decorated hotel and for the price represents excellent value for money. Dissapointingly the only request that we had of reception (extra tea bags - you only get 1 each!) was ignored but this really is the only critisism that we have of an otherwise faultless stay.

Service good
good breakfast!”
grand old hotel in good clean condition. tiny room with only one set of towels, really a single room sold as a double. limited outside area to relax (fountain in car park). superb buffet full breakfast.

Not as described or expected”
below average, not as expected. faults below 1.run down building 2.room was cold 3.filthy windows inside and out 4. limited tea/coffee.5. 3 bulbs not working limited light 6.car park full no parking for customers insecure key lock up. lift was broken from 3rd floor upwards. i think it is OK for a base to stay at whilst seeing Blackpool, but not for comfort or quality and definatley not 4 star, in our opinion as avid travelers and stopped at lots of hotels throughout the UK.

Not a 4*!”
Booked hotel months ago due to daughter getting married in Scotland. Wanted to do something special after for my husband. Sent emails with questions and requests with no replies. On arrival we had to wait while another man kept coming up and taking the front desk staff's time. no room etc. went to room and both my husband and myself were absolutely appalled by the state of the room. We were sure it had to be the worst toom in entire hotel. Granted we had just stayed at a castle but this was a 1* for a room. Dark, window did not open, bathroom was terrible, just depressing. Could here people smashing bottles and scaffolding. I decided to climb up and look it was like looking into a garbage site! No tap water due to some sort of issue. Went up and spoke w a different reception and she did not disagree the room was bad. Was told only way to get a better room was to pay another £60.!!! This also without the use of the pool...one of the reasons we booked. Got into new room after paying and feeling extremely ripped off only to find it dirty and the couch covered in animal hair! My husband was able to speak to a cleaner in the hallway who came to vacuum. Carpets did not look clean either and there was some large stain on one of the curtains. Next day cleaning staff left a spray bottle of cleaner in bathroom on counter. Went to the pub for a drink and a bite to eat and were told because there was a wedding on food might take up to 2 hrs!! Not very good for a hotel and really not acceptable. Spoke with another customer and he said he was told to come back for a special anniversary stay and they would have a nice room with chocolates etc. they arrived to dirty laundry in cupboards andd unclean room and no chocolates. He said hotel has gone downhill. Breakfast was ok. We traveled from Vancouver Canada. We would never have booked had we been aware of any of the above.
disappointed ”
First impressions was nice, quiet grand. Until we entered our room. There were flies flying around, kept having to chase them out. The room was a nice size fairly clean but numerous hairs on the mattress. Bath had black mould around it. Shower curtain soiled. Slept well until following morning woke up to a very sore, numb lower lip. Upon investigating this weird sensation I realised I was bitten. We immediately checked the bedding and found a bug that I squashed in horror. Telephoned reception to ask if they had any problems with the room prior. She informed me that they have never had any problems like that there, but will inform duty manager. Half hour later we were on our way out. Two ladies came to check the bedding asked when we were checking out and offered to change the mattress as they can't see anything. We agreed. There was no apologies or offer to change rooms. Returned very late that night and checked out early the following day. The inconvenience of having to drive for four hours in traffic back home and chucking every single thing that we carried with us in the back garden hosing them down and washing everything. We were more tired from this little break than before.
1 night stay”
Good. Get to breakfast before 9am. Hotel dated but nice.
Grand but aging hotel”
A bit of a mixed bag. On arrival I was pleased to have chosen the Imperial, as it looked very impressive from the outside. The lobby, with its dark wood furniture, was also very elegant. But after the first impression, the rest was sadly disappointing. Despite booking what was called a 'premium room', we were right at the back with no sea views. The room was a bit old and tired, and the breakfast average. But the worst part was on check-out when I discovered that I was charged a GBP5 "delivery charge" for room service. Had I known I would've gone to fetch it myself! And they forgot the drinks. So overall, not brilliant, but probably better than some other nearby options.
Not what we expected ”
Myself and my partner was celebrating our one year anniversary, we thought we had got a good deal paying less than the standard price. However upon arrival to our room we knew that this wasn't the case, the lobby was gorgeous then we came across empty wine bottles next to the lift that were still there that evening when we returned. The room we had was very standard, but we both felt that because we had gotten this cheap deal through a third party booking site that we had been given the worst room in the hotel, the bathroom was in bits, no water pressure from the taps or shower, the shower head was broken. Also we found bits of food & paper cuttings round the bed & under the desk, so it hadn't been cleaned properly since the last occupants or even before them! The staff was abaolutley brilliant but I'm afraid I won't be returning to the imperial hotel after everything else
Great place if you don't like Ikea!”
I stayed two nights in preparation for the half-marathon. Left car in car park all weekend as everything is only a walking distance away. Found a really nice Thai/chinese restaurant just 5mins north of the hotel. An entertainment theatre (Funny Girls) just 5mins south+ everything else in-between. Bed+ breakfast in The Imperial was cheaper than just Bed anywhere else+ the breakfast did not disappoint. Very happy customer!
lovely room but bad window area full of pigeons ”
Our stay was lovely other then the pigeons all crammed in a little space out side our bedroom window, it's was very noisy as they was big generators in the same area! Also loads of bird poo so didn't want to open the widow as I had a baby staying in the room! The birds also tried to get in the room! Other then these problems was lovely
