Exactly what it needed to be”
Beautiful building a very short walk from Sauchiehall Street, the staff were brilliant, very helpful. Room was basic (maybe a little dated) but clean and the beds were comfortable. Clean en suite, everything you need for a night in Glasgow. My son and I had breakfast, and for what we paid for the room it was fantastic value. A full cooked breakfast, continental options including fruit, pancakes and pastries. Coffee on the pot, and juices to help yourself to. Couldn't ask for anything more at the hotel 😁. The only issue I had which was nothing to do with the hotel - and the receptionist did her best to help with - was parking. The voucher scheme is a little confusing to say the least, there's very little parking on Renfrew Street, all the spaces were taken for the duration of our stay. I managed to park a couple of streets away, and I'm just hoping that was covered by the vouchers as there was no signs to say otherwise.

I had the most pleasant joyful experience in my first of many to come visits to Glasgow and McClays guesthouse is most definitely my place of stay when I’ll be travelling monthly alone, with groups friends and also family. Thank You to every member of staff. The hospitality was 100% God bless you all you are all amazing. Such a beautiful clean spotless hotel/guesthouse. Food was amazing wow I enjoyed every morning. You are all amazing thank you ever so much!

Great find.room was nice & clean. Was good having tea coffee facilities in room & crisps & biscuits. Plenty toiletries in our en-suite. nice staff. Lovely breakfast as you help yourself to coffee ‘cereal ‘fruit juices ‘ pancakes’ cold meats ‘cheese’s ‘ yogurt ‘bagel’s. Cooked breakfast to order. Black pudding ‘ sausages bacon beans egg fried tomatoes potatoe scone hash brown toast tea pot.

We had superior twin rooms, they were very good , clean , cosy with excellent en-suites. ”
We were able to park right outside the entrance. Located in the city centre so close to sights, restaurants and bars. The staff were very friendly and allowed us to put our bags inside before check in. Loads of choice at breakfast, a fast efficient service although they were busy. Would definitely stay again.

another good stay. we stayed in room 45 which we got lift to. room was nice & quiet. room was clean & had shower which is better for me as my back gives me jip trying to get in & out a bath. staff were nice & efficient. breakfast was nice as usual & plenty of choice so something wrong if you go from table feeling hungry.

The room was on the ground floor, so no stairs. I stayed in one with a shared bathroom, spotless, it didn't feel like I was sharing. Abundance of shower gel, shampoo and soap and of a high quality too! So clean! Lots of coffee, tea, milk, so could have more than 2 cups of coffee. Breakfast was amazing... We choose what we wanted, as much as we wanted. Everywhere there were extras which were not necessary but added to the luxurious feel of the place. I've stayed here twice and will definitely stay again. So convenient and when it's in special offer, I can't resist! It's a place you must stay! Staff all had time for you, polite and helpful. Only thing that was a bit niggly... The sheets just got the bed , so if you move during the night, they come off the mattress, but they were so clean and good quality that I'd take it any day!

Nice and big room with tall windows. A little "old" and cold but as soon as the heat is on, it becomes very cosy. Very clean shared sanitaries. I would definitively come back there next time.

Shared bathroom facilities were really well maintained, and modern, I wasn't sure about shared bathrooms, but I never had to queue, and the shower was really good. (It took a little while for the pump to kick in, so I had to leave it for a little while, then the pressure got much better) Staff are really helpful and friendly, breakfast is a great addition.

pleasant staff. nice clean room & dining area was spotless . but we have marked down cleanliness by 1 point as we did notice that on our way up to our room which was 90 something all of the stairs were hoovered well but they were needing a good clean . breakfast was really good with loads of choices. great location for shops bars ; cafe's ; restaurants; king theatre.would definitely stay here again.

Good b&b with great breakfast . Only suitable for someone with good mobility as there are steps leading to reception and spiral staircase and no lift in the building . I really enjoyed my stay and everything else was brilliant .

1. I would said breakfast is fab, full Scottish breakfast plus some tostie yogurts coffee tea and so on. Really great. 2. Room and bathroom is clean. Especially the bathroom, big, I think it been recently redecorated so very modern. 3. Location is ok, closed to university, about 15 minutes walk to city centre. No bad. 4 staff is helpful and kind. Overall, I would said i will stay here again if I come back to Glasgow.

This hotel is perfect as a base for doing things in the city, and it's really close to Charing Cross train station if you're going over to Edinburgh, or out west.

This guest house was perfect for us for the weekend. The room was really nice and the staff were lovely and helpful. Got a good night's sleep each night. Great value for money and you're not too far from the centre of things too! Will definitely be back next time we're in Glasgow!
