We travelled as a couple scouting Blackpool for properties we were interested in buying. We arrived late in the evening to a warm welcome. There was a gentleman and three ladies working when we stayed and they were all lovely and kind to us. The breakfast was fantastic. The room was great. It’s about a 15 minute walk down north prom in a quieter area. Very good value considering staying literally across the road was double the price and much busier. We stayed for 3 nights and it was quiet as the season hasn't quite started yet. We plan on staying again in October for leisure and then again as we move into our property. Highly recommended :)

Probably the worst breakfast we’ve ever had ,the sausages were obviously of the Iceland verity so much so we left without eating on the second morning on the plus side the staff were very friendly but the hotel is definitely being run on a shoestring will not be visiting again such a shame

for a b and b its ok, its just that some of the rooms are a bit of a squash, for an overnight stay its fine, but I wouldn't want to stay longer, but that's just my opinion. the breakfast was edible, I understand they are new owners, so its a learning curve for them. staff are great.

TRASHING TVs ”

Great location, really nice breakfast..clean rooms but very tired and in need of TLC. Went with my son after a trip to my mums funeral and got asked for ID as the TVs have been trashed.. this instantly made us feel uneasy..think they need to choose who to ask for IDand who looks like they may trash TVs.l

Great Value, Friendly Staff, Great Location, Smashing Breakfast”

You really can't beat this place for value. The breakfast was superb, the staff were friendly, it's bang on the seafront. All was just great, I mean the room wasn't the biggest and it was a bit tired in terms of décor but the bed was comfy and the shower was perfect - what more do you want for £28 a night? Would definitely stay here again.

NPC Parliament Presenters”

Four of us were warmly welcomed and enjoyed the 4 single rooms at the top of the hotel facing the sea. Over 40 steps up which was good exercise! The staff who had only recently taken over the hotel from Frankie went out of their way to store our presentation equipment and to provide an early breakfast at 7.30 am in order to get us to the Winter Gardens for our 9 am set up. The weather was bad but our visit to Blackpool was good...and the workshop went splendidly. Warmest thanks to the hotel and the Winter Garden teams.

Had a fantastic stay, staff very friendly and helpful, room was clean and spacious with a balcony and sea view, we were lucky enough to have one of the 4 car parking spaces outside of the hotel at no extra cost, breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice, value for money and would definitely stay again :-)

Excellent b&b. All areas of the establishment are well maintained and clean. Room was very good, comfy bed, great shower. Breakfast had an excellent choice of fruit juices, cereals, breads, jams, fruits and speciality teas. Great choice of cooked breakfast items including vegetarian sausage option. I would thoroughly recommend the North Ocean Hotel.

Excellent value for money, limited parking on hotel front is only down side but you can park in nearby streets or couple of car parks close by. Beds really comfy and breakfast very good. Rooms bit old fashioned but very clean and well stocked with tea, coffee, water and even biscuits. Staff lovely especially John so friendly, helpful and full of local info real pleasure to meet him. Definitely revisit soon.

Worth the money”

Pros clean. Tidy.. Helpful staff and a great breakfast...Excellent value Was certainly worth every penny that we paid... The breakfast was fantastic. With cereals yoghurt and fruit.. Plus toast and crumpets... Then a full English... Couldn't be better to set you up for the day... The bed was spotless and comfortable. Although we got some noise from room above. Cons it was just a little far out from the central attractions (winter gardens. And Tower) Had a decent sleep, but wouldn't want more than a couple of nights... Would certainly consider booking again.

Great Stay in Blackpool”

Very friendly staff, made to feel very welcome. Big and delicious breakfast, could not fault. Room was cosy but comfortable, had all we needed and bedding was really nice and soft and homely. Only little quibble was shower pressure, not very strong. Great place and location, would definitely recommend!

Good value base”

The staff were lovely. Very friendly and helpful. The only real negative was a nylon bottom sheet on the bed. I didn't think they still made them. Everywhere was clean. There was a good selection for breakfast

Nice Hotel ”

We only booked and stayed for two nights as going to attend a birthday party at another location. The hotel was very clean and our room adequate for our two night stay. Bed was very comfortable. Staff and management were very cordial. Breakfast which is taken in restaurant was excellent. Choice is very good. There is a bar and restaurant but unfortunately closed during our stay as out of season. Pity as would have liked to try them. We would definitely advise other people to visit and next opportunity would stay their again. Frankie, Mike and staff thank you enjoyed our short visit. Dennis & Linda Liverpool

Fantastic hotel with friendly staff ”

Just back from a weekend stay and apart from the weather, cannot fault this hotel. Location is perfect, away from the noise of central Blackpool and although only parking for about 5 cars, there was parking on a side street. Room was spacious and very clean with 2 large arm chairs which is uncommon in our previous visits to other hotels in Blackpool. Staff were very friendly and food was really good with plenty of choice. Will definitely be back later in the year and hopefully get nicer weather.

Very good hotel ”

This was the first time we have stopped at this hotel , we only booked as the reviews were very good . We were not disappoint at all , clean , good room ( number 10 ) and breakfast was very good . John and his team on our stay where excellent . We will recamend this hotel to friends and we will book again in the future . Thank you .

We asked for a sea-view online and got a depressing view of the back even though we were able to use the balcony it was open anyway. The shower head was useless you had to take it off the wall to use it overall not good

Nice Hotel”

Great breakfast cooked to order with plenty options available. Nice rooms clean and large enough. Hotels about half hour walk to tower or catch a tram or taxi close by. Would recommend for short breaks.

Pleasant stopover”

My wife and I spent a very pleasant stopover in this hotel on our way from Scotland to London. We stayed in a promenade facing room which was cosily warmed on our arrival and slept in the most comfortable, warm bed l have slept in anywhere. We woke to an excellent choice of breakfast to send us on our forward journey. Highly recommended.
