Amazing hotel ”

Absolutely lovely staff, very accommodating with a late checkout and an absolutely delicious 1st class breakfast. We will definitely be back!

1st night after lockdown ”

Lovely boutique hotel in the centre of Bath. Lovely , clean room & shower facilities. Welcoming staff. Great choice of teas/ coffee & selection of breakfasts. Would definitely stay here again. Walking distance to all town centre facilities.

Cute Place - Great location!”

Cute little place, downtown Bath. A lovely base to explore the city from. Hotel is cute and charming (but no lift so keep this in mind if you have mobility issues or heavy bags as I did!)

Great location and helpful staff”

We've just returned from a very enjoyable stay in Bath. The hotel was clean and comfortable and is in a great location near to the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely with lots of alternatives to the 'full English' for a cooked breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable, clean rooms. Delicious breakfast, with plenty of choice. Friendly, accommodating staff and owner... made an effort to make guests feel comfortable. Close to Bath city centre... loved our weekend away! :-)

Fab location”

Fantastic breakfast. Room well stocked with tea/coffee etc. Even an alarm clock! Should have been informed we were on 4th floor without a lift.

Sharp Pracrise or just hard nose - you decide”

We tried to book for Saturday and Sunday via an online website called Agoda. However, by mistake we booked the Friday. We requested to cancel the online 5 minutes after booking it and if possible to rebook the Saturday and Sunday. Initially Agoda said they could not cancel it as the hotel was fully boozed for the nights we wanted. . We explained that we had booked in error and they said they would approach the Kennard again. Again the answer was no. I rang the Kennard and spoke to a Lady who said that they could not cancel as it was booked via Agoda and they would not let them cancel. I said Agoda had confirmed by email that it was up to the Kennard whether they cancel or not. She then said that the contract with Agoda would not let them cancel and in any event, if they cancelled they may not be able to book the room for the night and they would loose out on the money I had paid. At this point we gave up. We are quite miffed that a simple error made on a website has cost us £125.

Charming hotel run by lovely couple”

A friend and I stayed one night only for the Fed Cup tennis. The room was ideal for us, the hotel is very central but quiet, and the couple who run it were helpful and attentive.

The Kennard is better than ever!”

I regularly try to stay at the Kennard when visiting Bath. This year I was pleasantly surprised by the effort the owners have put into making the most of the hotel. New honour bar, new decor and an even nicer breakfast. Top marks.

We had a great stay at The Kennard. The room was comfortable and very stylish and the breakfast was tasty and served by very attentive staff.

Wonderful place right in the heart of the ciry”

Wonderfully clean, great cooked breakfast, lovely rooms with attention to detail and a gorgeous outdoor setting. Only con would be no lifts - the 5 story apartment has lots of stairs so not for the elderly or faint hearted who have to carry their own luggage upstairs. If you are, book a room on the ground floor or 1st floor if you can.

Just perfect”

The most friendly, hygiene, warm-welcoming, respectful accommodation with a wide range of breakfast menu. It was such a perfect celebration of my mom’s birthday. People in Bath in general were so kind with excellent service. definitely will go back!

Small bed ”

The main pro is the breakfast, which is exceptional (though they had not heeded a previous review of mine when my only gripe was, and still is, that the poached eggs were not freestyle). On this occasion l stupidly booked what was described as a small double thinking the small referred to the room (which was fine) rather than to the bed (which wasn't). My fault, but that's why I've docked a star for value.

This hotel is absolutely perfect. It's in a quiet but central part of Bath. Parking is only a short walk away. When we asked about a laundromat it was a 6 minute walk away and Nikki on reception gave us detergent so we didn't have to buy any. The rooms are beautifully decorated - just perfect. Everything is so clean, great shower and lovely shortbread biscuits to eat with tea and coffee. The breakfast was fantastic! We were so happy to receive a room upgrade up grade when we arrived. Very generous. All staff and the owners were genuinely interested in making sure we had the best stay and of course we did!!
