Excellent stay”

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It was close to everything or felt like it! It was clean, very comfortable beds, wonderful pool and hot tub, and quiet! The breakfast was to-go and lots of options from fruit to breakfast cereals, breakfast bars, and items to heat such as sausage sandwiches and hot cereal. It was a wonderful place and I’d love to bring my family back here to stay again! The rooms are kept covid-sanitary by replacing toiletries and exchanging towels as needed. Trash can be set in a trash receptacle near the elevator or by the hotel door and is promptly picked up. Everything felt very safe and so comfortable! We were driving distance to everything Destin and also easy access to the places around Destin. We also did some laundry on-site (takes $2 in quarters for each wash and dry) and that was clean and worked very well and was super easy to use and our items were safe. I don’t have enough great things to say about how comfortable and wonderful the people and this location were! Thanks so much for helping our first time to Destin (and east of St. Louis) absolutely lovely!! I wish I had taken more pictures!!...next time!!

EXCELLENT PLACE”

This hotel could get 100 stars if I could rate it that way. Everything was perfect to the tee. I have no complaints. I came here with my 2 young kids for spring break vacation for a 3 day vacay. Our room was a queen suite with 2 queen beds, 50inch tv, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and coffee, excellent window view, desk area, free wifi. Choose this place if you plan on coming to Destin Fl. This hotel is near attractions, malls and restaurants. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming.

Just Okay ”

The hotel is older. Due to Covid they said the housekeeping is on request ONLY and it has to be every other day. It’s a hotel, people pay for the stay. We should not have to keep coming up to them to request services . They should keep tract of it. Also what’s the difference between cleaning daily and skipping a day? No one will be in the room while housekeeping is there. Having to throw wet towels in front of the door in the non cleaning days are a bit distasteful. Employees were nice but they can work on communication better. I asked for my room to be cleaned only to come back to it dirty. I had to call them to get answers. They could have called me to let me know. Overall I won’t stay here again.

Close to Bass Pro, shopping center and Henderson Beach. Everything was nice except Hot Tub was too hot.

Toilet would not flush properly, tv remote did not work properly, housekeeping left our room door unlocked for a whole day and the entire hotel was out of hot water for almost 24 hours. After asking to speak to the manager or to have them contact me that never happened nor did we get any type of compensation or refund for all of this. I will never go back to this place after the way we were treated and i most definitely do not recommend them to anyone else. Very poor customer service!!!! Very disappointed in my stay.

The hotel is slightly renovated to a clean aspect but the carpet should have been changed in the rooms. Faulty imperfections in details in the room. Shower rod broke, shower curtains and window curtains are filthy. Sheets are dingy and unpleasantly of cheap quality. The breakfast in the morning is of low quality.

Good value, nice staff ”

The Best Western Sugar Sands was a good option for our stay in Destin. The location is very convenient and close to the beach and shopping. We booked two rooms for three nights. The hotel is acceptable but not perfect. It has been updated in some areas. The Bedding and bathroom fixtures seem fairly new. The rooms could use new carpeting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a typical complimentary breakfast.

Everything was wonderful EXCEPT the front desk personnel. The two guys at the desk at night were actually VERY nasty and not helpful. I was trying to print my flight boarding pass and the printer was jammed. They made me and my 90 year old father wait over 1 hour to help and we got to bed at 1 AM. THEY WERE NOT BUSY AT ALL, JUST DID NOT WANT TO HELP! We got to bed at 1 AM and had to get up at 3:30 AM to travel to the airport. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!! Other than the rude desk employees (only two of them) the hotel was exceptional. I would not return because of the two employees.

This was my second time at this hotel. Seems to have better rates than surrounding hotels. Stayed in a king suite which was spacious & clean. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast.
