Quiet and isolated with good food”
Once you’re inside you wouldn’t want to venture out. It’s a world all its own. The perfect place to decompress. A 3.5 hour drive from Bacolod with a few hundred meters of unpaved roads makes this quite difficult to get to. But it is worth it. The privacy and exclusivity the resort provides makes you feel it’s your own family resort. The staff were all friendly. They upgraded us to a hotel room way before we arrived because the beach bungalow (nipa hut) we booked had a leaky roof. That was great. The beach....*sigh* ❤️ We only ate at the resort restaurant and I liked everything we had. Anchovy pizza, grilled tuna, sinigang, burgers and hotdogs, halo halo and more! All tasty. 👍🏽 The sheets and towels have seen better days. They don’t feel soft anymore but they are very clean and smell really good. They gave fresh towels and cleaned the bathroom everyday even if it wasn’t that dirty. 👍🏽 We weren’t able to get a massage but I did use the sauna. It’s free. Overall, it’s recommended for families with small kids (shallow beach waters and nice pool), and people who just want some quiet. Wifi signal is limited. So are phone signals. Also if you’re planning to use your credit card to settle upon check out, their terminal sometimes doesn’t get a signal and you’ll have to accompany the concierge a good distance away from the resort just to get a signal. It almost happened to us. So be prepared with cash. Or I hope they boost the reception in their area. Loved Punta Bulata. Will definitely return and try the diving courses at Danjugan Island. 👍🏽

Pros - good peaceful get away, good value for money Cons - no mini bar in room we stayed in and could have done with a hot beverage station or just a kettle. The place has an old charm about it so can't complain too much as they do a good job at maintaining the right eco balance.

Isolation, Peace and Quiet, Beautiful. Terrific Staff.”
Isolation: A comfortable 3 hour ride (with no stops) from Bacalod in larger size, air conditioned SUV. Tony, our driver has been driving for Punta Bulata for 8 years. He was pleasant and knew what he was doing. You finish your trip to the resort traversing a 3km a hilly dirt and rock road. Peace and Quiet: We pretty much had the place to ourselves for most of our stay except for an occasional group or couple. Expect to hear birds, soft background music from the restaurant, the ocean, the pool waterfall, and fishing boats. Beautiful: Hibiscus, plumeria, orchids and a variety of butterflies and birds. Hermit crabs occasionally on patrol in the area. Terrific Staff: I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Professional, extremely competent and caring. While not perfect, everyone from the front desk to the restaurant and everyone in between did their jobs diligently, happily and with love. Punta Bulata is as best as it can get, for Bacolod or Negros Island. Large clean rooms with everything functioning. Food is better than many cities we have traveled to. Beach is beautiful and family friendly. Service is polite and efficient.

Fantastic hideaway”
We booked an overnight here to make the drive from Bacolod to Dumaguete more interesting, and it was worth it. It's 3km down a dirt road which has recently been levelled and improved, and most cars except sports cars should make it OK. Our room was basic but large and clean with sea view, comfy bed and big bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was good value and served great food. The pool was clean and the resort's private beach and gardens with views of nearby islands were absolutely beautiful. Only downside: mobile phone signal is very weak (Globe), and the resort only offers 100Mb of free wifi per person (you have to pay per Mb to get more). Overall a great place to unwind. Next time we'll go for longer.

Staffs are so accomadating and friendly. A really good place to stay with if you want to relax. Beautiful sunset and beach front is also a plus. Need to stay for atleast 2 days for you to feel the vibes. A place worth to visit and to stay with. Cons: The location is far from the city but when you get there worth the travel and experience.

Lovely resort, would love to come back”
The food was fantastic. The resort itself was beautiful and clean. We had a few issues with the service due to confusion on my reservation when I clearly included my child and his correct age on the original reservation. Attempted to charge me extra for him. We also got a little frustrated when the resort prioritized sending out a large group that wasn’t ready to leave for a tour and we were clearly ready and waiting. Other than that the staff was amazing. Definitely recommend going here and doing the danjugan tour.

The resort is quite far from the city, but everything's worth it! Their place is so awesome! The rooms are clean; bathroom is spacious; beach front is scenic. I searched the internet and found this beach resort in Sipalay (just a 3 to 4 hours of driving from our place) with very good customer reviews. I booked for one day just to check the place .... then ended up extending for another. I was really surprised that the place could be so quite and just a very few guests (since they have few rooms only, i guess) and no outsiders can pass by the beach since the whole stretch of beach front seem to belong to this resort only . That is why I give 5 stars for location since this is the kind of place I envisioned to be...quite and serene. The hotel really needs refurbishing, but it is very clean. The staff, very accommodating and the manager so friendly and professional (my bad I forgot the name of this charming little lady). Food is good and pool is nice. White sand beach PLUS you will see the most beautiful sunset.

Punta Bulata is a perfect place to just relax and chill out. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They’ve got good food too at a reasonable price. The beach shoreline is well-maintained, it is always kept clean and the sand is smooth enough and soothing to the feet. The swimming pool is likewise clean with a depth that is kid-friendly. If there is anything I would like to be improved, it is the spa room which is quite old already. Although it is clean, it does not have the inviting & relaxing aroma of a typical high-end spa. Furthermore, the hotel building can also use some repainting to give it a newer look. Overall, we had a lovely and enjoyable stay! We will definitely recommend the resort to families and friends.
