Great value for money”
After staying at the Jade Dragon Suites, the Qanaq felt like the 4 Seasons. Here's my experience: The hotel was accommodating to my early check in (7:30am. I needed a place to shower, as my last hotel had sprung a leak in the middle of the night and my bathroom as unusable by morning.) It's brand new, like 3 months old. My room was immaculate. I think I paid $3 USD more per night for a room twice the size of my last hotel, that had a double bed, a window, and breakfast included. None of these were in my last hotel. The Qanaq was basically heaven. 100 feet down the street there is a 'town square' with restaurants, cafes, salons, and a convenience store. The ONLY issue I had, was that the wifi isn't in all the rooms, so I had to go to the lobby/cafe and get it there. The owners were SUPER accommodating. The husband, Jun, sat and talked with me for an hour about the city and the hotel and was very friendly and helpful (and very apologetic about the wifi misunderstanding). The wife, Emily, was super sweet and also talked with me for quite some time. I was looking for a place to stay long term, and Emily let me know that if I didn't find a place I could stay at the hotel (cheaper than any of the apartments I was looking at). I mentioned that if I stayed, I would need a desk to do some computer work at. When I returned to the hotel a few hours later there was a desk set up in my room. This family run hotel was a great experience. Emily runs a nurse certification program nearby and shows her level of professionalism in the upkeep of the rooms. Seriously clean, bright and comfortable. I only wish I had booked here to begin with!

Great Place to Stay!”
If you'rer on the adventure and explore the city mood and looking for affordable hotel, Qanaq is right for you. Aside from being affordable, it is located near Matina Time Square (MTS) where live band play music every night and other shops located inside like coffee shops etc. Rooms are very basic but comfortable, very good for resting your tired body after exploring Davao.

I stayed for around 3 weeks at Qanaq hotel. this hotel is located near Matina town square where you can enjoy drinking beer and NCCC mall where is a big mall. what I was impressed was that every staffs were very polite and friendly. they cleaned my room perfectly. if I stay Davao again, I will stay Qanaq hotel again.

Clean and affordable”
Room was clean. Location is good - close to Matina Town Square where you can find a number of restaurants and fast food chains. The owner was helpful in giving directions. Overall we had a good stay at Qanaq hotel.

Excellent value!”
I was very pleased with my stay at the Qanaq and have no major complaints. However, I think it must be remembered this is a 2-3 star hotel and so the extra ammenities and large room size are not offered and the issue of accessing wifi from your room still needs to be resolved.

Amazing staff”
Amazing value for money and clean and close to Mts which has live music and bars and restaurants. The staff were amazing I hurt my leg while there and they really looked after me and got medicine. If you do to Davao city stay here

Short notice Davao stopovers ”
It’s four years since I was in Davao. Prices seem to have soared. This is a budget hotel close to matina town square(MTS) just a stone throw from NCCC which recently had a tragic fire. The hotel is a little hidden from view however MTS is so close and has a good night life with a wide variety of food. Some very good restaurants and bars. Yet far enough away behind buildings noise was not a problem. The stairs in the hotel have quite big steps so if you have knee problems you might want to consider another place but if you’re ok with that you will get a clean, basic and comfortable room. I slept well here. The rooms are properly insulated so cool efficiently. I turned mine on low at night and off as requested when I left around 7am and it was still cool returning at 6 pm. Breakfast is ordered in so be sure to advise any dietary requirements at the front desk on check in. They are very accommodating. There is water in the dining area available anytime but only to fill cups not bottles! WiFi does not reach all rooms so you may need to use the landing chairs. Security seemed pretty good. My first impression was that it’s a bit basic but I left feeling quite satisfied with the service I received.

Great budget hotel near the NCCC mall”
Perfect if you need to stay in the Matina area, its near the MTS plaza which lots of nice bars and perfectly located near the NCCC mall (10 minutes walk) Staff is very kind and i will stay there again if i need to be in the Matina area, in Davao

Value for Money”
This place is very cost-effective. I got the single room for a very good price. The hotel is ideal if you want to be near UM-Matina and Ateneo. THe Wifi doesn't reach my original room but I understand that it is currently being fixed. The WiFi signal in Room 214 is great though.

Pro: Cold ac Clean room (bedding and towels smells newly washed) Very accommodating, polite and honest staffs (we received a sms that we've left some cash though it was intended as tip for their hk staffs) Near jeep and taxi terminals, convenience stores and fast food chains Cheap and quiet place There are moments that there could be a heavy traffic going to and from the hotel, (1 hr travel from airport to hotel) not their fault, just a heads up.

Good small hostel”
room was clean and adequate, comfortable bed. Wifi worked well too. Staff were helpful in giving directions and suggestions for 1st timers in Davao like us. Breakfast was very basic though, you wont be able to choose. Location is ok. near NCCC mall, SNR, Matina Town Square, bangkerohan and a number of fast foods/restaurants.

We upgraded our room from standard to suit. Pros: Courteous staff. Safe. Hot and cold shower are working. Firm bed. AC is working fine. They got water dispenser and allowed us to use their cups. Cons: Inconsistent wifi signal. Toilet seat in one of the standard rooms needs to be replaced. Road outside the hotel is under construction.

Nice location， clean bedings， very recommendable comparing the price. The WIFI is not available in the room you have to go downstairs to the lobby area. Well worth the payment. Not famous though, the taxi drivers don't know where it is.

The place was fine... It was a good value for money. It was neat and clean. What i can suggest is that the hotel should try to reduce the sunlight effect in the room as it is too bright. Maybe put a dark and thick curtain just to reduce the light.

Good value for the price. Everything was good. Located close to food options, transportation and only around 2km to SM. The only negative I can say about this hotel is the about the television. I didn't offer international channels, only locals.

The place is really value for money. It was close to the place where we were having a meeting. I got a good deal for the single room I am booked. However the Wifi was not strong in my room.
