Choosing the" QING YUN RESTHOUSE SDN BHD" was excellent choice because its near from the mall, night market, cheapest souvenir shops, local & international restaurant. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and smell good.

An "A" service”
I stayed a total of 3 nights in Qing Yun - first night on my arrival day in Kampung Serusop Branch and the last 2 nights in Kianggeh Branch, in front of The Mall. Ying was very helpful. She drove us from the airport branch to The Mall. As public transport was limited on a holiday in the country, she assisted and drop us off in the city for a day of sight seeing. On our last day, she even dropped us off at the airport. I would also like to comment that she was attentive and quick to respond to whatever query we have. She was always willing to extend a helping hand. For somebody new to the country, we cannot asked for more. We definitely have a great time in Brunei. Thank you again Miss Ying and Mr Chieng.

It’s a bit trick going to this resthouse from airport, im a solo backpacker so i tend to go with the cheapest route, taxi in brunei is a no, no it is a bit expensive. From airport i took bus 36 and drop off to bus terminal then take bus 01 drop off gadong the mall. Take note that buses has timing intervals so you need to wait for few minutes upto half an hour. Building looks old but room and well maintained. Awesome

Exceptional”
Great location and value for money. The guest house is located right across the mall so you have something to do at night and the bus stop is right outside to help you get to all the places you want to go. The Gadong night market is also a five minute walk away which is a must see, they have great food for great prices. The Guest house was very nice! Our room was great and clean and the bathroom was very clean as well. Mr. Chieng was very hospitable specially when we arrived an hour after the reception closed because of flight delays, he stayed open so we could still check in. I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Brunei.

+ 1. Walking distance from a restaurants and supermarkets. Location is also in front of The Mall. 2. Less than 5 minute walk to the Gadong Night Market which open at around 6pm. 3. Bus stop is located in front of the hotel. From the airport ride bus number 23 or 24, then transfer to bus number 1 in the bus terminal which will pass by the hotel. 4. Room was spacious particularly the bathroom. Hot and cold shower was also available. - 1. Wifi password change everyday so you have to ask for it everyday.

One of the best budget hotel in Brunei for sure”
I stayed here for 2 nights and I was quite satisfied. The room was nice, well maintained and shower is good. Location is next to Gadong Mall and walking distance to the night market, so if you're looking for night life this is the best. The city center is 8km away and for budget travelers you can use bus no.1 or 20 to Bandar Raya (city center). Since the bus service stop at 7pm, then it will be difficult to go to the city center at night. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Although one thing bad is the WiFi service. It could be a lot better for the future please.

The room is extremely clean for a budget hotel, staff is friendly and the location is unquestionably strategic; it's just literally in front of the mall. easy to find food and yeah, it's just 200 meters from the spectacular night market of gadong.

Just opposite to The mall Gadong. Only 3 min walk away to Gadong night market. Bus stop just in front of this hotel(a trrafic light is a bus stop). Hotel is small but value for money.

I appreciated this hotel for its convenient location near The Mall Gadong, for its spacious room, and for its facilities. I just did not like the smell of cigarette smoke from the outside seeping into my room then. Still, I would come back here if given the chance. :)

Whilst it might not seem like much from the outside, this is probably one of the best value for money accommodations in Brunei as it is located in a great area (near The Mall, Gadong Night Market) that is close to public transport and many food options. The rooms are simple but clean and of a good size. Would stay here again.

The hotel just front of Mall. If u dont have anything to do at night u can just go to watch movies at mall. Pasar godong only 2,3 min walk. Chicken rice with only 1$. easy to find, juat take a bus no 20 to gadong. Hotel is clean.

the staff has cleaned the room thoroughly before we check in. although the room is the smoking room, but the staff manage to clean it till no smell at all.. very satisfy for the stay, keep it up. opposite it the MALL already. as i having the dinner at centre point hotel, this hotel location is excellent too as i just need to walk to the hotel and back.

Clean room, but pathetic WiFi”
PROS: Great room, bathroom (the design is simple and beautiful), comfy bed & air-con. Good Location = opposite to the mall, bus stop and there are lots of good/cheap places to eat nearby. The heater in the first assigned room was not working and we were shifted to a different (well, a better one) room without any hesitation - good customer care on that front. CONS: Bad WiFi and at times pathetic!! - fluctuating at most times. They have a water heater/flask (jug type) in the room to heat water (tap water here, in Brunei, is drinkable), but no glasses are provided and when asked the staff (or owner?!) laughs and says "no glasses". Then why even bother having a water heater? No one can ever use it and pour it somewhere else (definitely not in a plastic bottle!).
