Our flight landed at 11.30 pm.We could not locate the property and called the office .The guy who answered the call told us to to go to Regant hotel and collect keys,this was completely wrong information.Later next call he asked us to collect keys from another address and then go back to regant hotel and go to 2nd floor,no door no was mentioned.We tried ,could not open and called him again.Then he apologised and told us he has sent us to the wrong adress!!!!It was 1 am by then!!!we were tired .The door numbers are not marked,so make sure to ask them more questions regarding the actual apartment.

Settees and beds too low, didn’t realise it was top floor and no lift (I have angina!), shower dreadful - stone cold or boiling hot, very difficult to adjust to a comfortable temperature.

All the perks had little to do with the interior of the apartment itself. Centrally located, easy walking distance to the train station and city centre. Some nice restaurants near by
The apartment reeks of cigarette smoke (not ideal as a non-smoker with a small child) when contacting the property manager hoping for a resolution (clean whilst we are out type thing) was met with a "it always smells like that as the downstairs neighbours smoke" so not a one off, future visitors would have the same issue. The washing machine didn't work, we were told whilst traveling so couldn't adjust packing to counter. Received a call after 11 at night during the visit to say we couldn't use the shower any more, so on the day we had booked to go for a nice afternoon tea couldn't even wash my hair, and as mentioned with the opressive smell of smoke, I was paranoid about it clinging to me. The furnishings do not match the pictures and were rickety and uncomfortable (one sofa had a broken foot), the flooring is in disrepair and had to wear shoes throughout as the boards caught on socks and bare feet shredding both. I've been visiting Edinburgh for 10years staying in various apartments, I have never been so disappointed by the standards or lack of concern from the property managers. You could not pay me to stay here again

Good location within walking distance to bars and restaurants. Plenty of storage in wardrobe.
Apartment smelled strongly of stale smoke, the shower was difficult to get the temperature right.

Nice flat let down by a couple of things”

the location which was great for shops and restaurants . The flat was clean quirky and well equipped.
The stench of cigarette smoke left by the previous guests which we couldn’t get rid of even by opening windows and using scented candles after 3 days. This affected our sinuses. The mattress on one of the beds was uncomfortable and the battery had been taken out of the smoke alarm.
