Great Location, Great Room”
There was a bloodstain on the bed, which was surprising as the hotel seemed to be very clean otherwise. The service was good, and staff were helpful. However, the check-in and check-out were very slow. The room was large and had a great view over the Corniche. The location was right near the New Downtown Beirut and near the Raoche Rocks. But don't try to park your car on your own. It is valet parking only (but inexpensive, just a few dollars overnight).

Great Hotel”
The Safir Heliopolitan (also called by locals as Al Safir Hotel) is located very conveniently. Very short walk to the Corniche (Raouche's Pigeons' Rocks). There's are plenty of decent restaurants within walking distance. By taxi, its 10 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes from Hamra, and around 7 minutes to downtown. The buffet breakfast is rich and elaborate - the fresh handmade arabic bread is a must try. The reception staff are quite helpful and resourceful. The in-room locker comes in very handy. Room service is great and they did a special welcome decoration for us - but we had to remind them a couple of times about the daily complimentary things like water. Overall a great stay.

the actual price was and they charged some what.food is very expensive, rather all things very expensive even more than manhattan but its Beirut . so you can expect this. the break fast was average as compared to the price.

Expensive with good service”
The only point that I would like to raise here is the fact that the WiFi wasn't free at the room. It was free at the restaurant and near the reception area. I think this need to be reviewed as the room rate is not cheap at all. Residents are paying a lot and he expect to be be treated with global standards (WiFi is free at all 3 star hotels in Europe). Apart of that, the staff were very helpful and the hotel was clean and in a good location.

Modern hotel, great location & friendly service”
overall i had a pleasant stay at this hotel. the staff very helpful and friendly. the rooms were comfortable and of good size with modern tv. we were given sweets/chocolates every night during our stay. on the down side, i did experience minor wifi problems although that was quickly fixed. also the shower curtain needs to be replaced, and the plumbing needs to be checked.

Good clean hotel with freindly staff”
The hotel is not centrally located, but is a short distance from the airport, and closer still to the Hammera Street shopping area... but still a good distance from Down Town. The hotel itself is good, clean and smart... with modern facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast covers most tastes, so at least you can start the day the right way. Close by are a range of hotels from expensive to cheap... and a range of food options... all within a 5 minute walk. There's also a small supermarket only a block away.

i don't think the facility is good enough for a 5 star hotel and the room is not spacious! but the hotel is near to the corniche and especially the rock for view. there is a restaurant called lamp house about 10ms'walk from the hotel, don't go there!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unhealthy High Humidity staying ”
This hotel needs its bathroom curtain to be changed and the towels too ,the horrible carpet in in the room too and the dirty room wall paper . The furniture of the room was fine . Also they should set a screen to the balcony door so that the customer is able to freshen up the room without being afraid from mosquitos .

I am very upset that our vacation was ruined!”
Mom lives 15 minutes from your hotel but I decided to stay here for the swimming. Both my children endured chemical burns on their finger tips after touching a ledge in the pool. The tips of their fingers where they came into contact suffered burns that required medical attention. They were prescribed a cream for the burns and were advised to steer clear of the pool until the burns were healed. We checked out I’d the hotel; It’s been a full week and the kids fingers are still not healed. It’s completely unacceptable that the hotel took zero responsibility either. We checked out early and were refunded the nights forthcoming but I want a complete refund for the entire stay! I was told these chemical burns are nothing to take lightly and I cannot believe the hotel placed fault on my children that did nothing but swim in their pool. They need to figure out what’s on that ledge so that it doesn’t happen again! I want a full refund or will pursue further action!

Nit suitable for family because the rooms designed for couples only. ”
The room was spacious but only had a king size bed and my daughters had to sleep on a horrible portable bed which was not good at all. So the rooms are not suitable for family at all.

Not as expected”
When i saw the hotel pics, i expected an old furniture (which is ok). When i got into the room, the bed sheets were old, puffy wallpaper, and unclean dressing table. As for the bathroom, the towels are the worst i tried in my life. Worst part of my stay is thr AC. The rooms were really room. Asked maintaincr people to come and i was informed that the AC is in full heater mode and cannot br changed. The room was 25 C and it was really hot!! Yet nothing was done about it. I had to call everyday, literally everyday, to get towels and water because the staff forgot to put them. This was annoying. Staff need to be more professional when talking to guests. For starters, smile more and show the guest that he is welcome.

Acceptable”
We were given a smoking room, smell was very strong ! Was not given a cot for my daughter after we asked repeatedly. Room and sheets felt like it was not clean and un hygenic. Room service appeared knocking at our door at 7.30 am wanting to clean the room while we were fast asleep. Staff are unproffessional and not after customer satisfaction. We ended up leaving the hotel earlier than scheduled due to the reasons above
