Facility was great! We booked 7 rooms and it seemed like we got the whole place for ourselves since we got to sit outside in the garden and hangout as well. The rooms were great and we're definitely lucky to book them at an affordable price. It's a quiet area and fronting the Bulabog beach which is amazing during sunrise and is less crowded than the white beach. I was only disappointed that there was no bidet and no "tabo"/dipper available.

Pleasant stay, but bad location due to the ongoing construction ”
Our room was really nice! We had everything we needed! It was even possible to cook there, the offered pots and pans. Also the staff was really friendly and helping. But despite all that, the ongoing constructions in front of the hotel are really annoying! The entire beach is stuffed with sewer pipes, they destroyed a lot of resorts and the whole Boracay is a mess. I wouldn’t recommend one to go there.

once we checked out the staff took the bedsheets and pointed at 2 dots of coin size clear fluid marks and demanded to pay 2000 pesos for it. we didn't know if that was from our sheets as they were in the reception by the time they demanded the monies, nevertheless it would have gone with a wash. not trustworthy , will not recommend.

I could not stay and had to rebook to another hotel as I can't contact anyone. Phone always say'out of covered area'. Local operators were clueless. Bad expirience. Hope they refund my money for inefficienty. Bad expirience.

The place to be in boracay”
The hotel is situated at the bulabog beach right next to a kitesurf and surf school, its only a 5 min. walk from the famous white beach. the location is just perfect, after visiting the whitebeach you have a nice quiet little place to go back to an just relax. The 12 rooms of the reef retreat are each decorated with a lot of love to the detail, great design, it is a luxurious surf retreat with a lot of charm which makes you feal welcome once your arrive at this retreat. The staff was always friendly and greated you with a smile. I went looking around for other hotels near white beach, but you will not finde another hotel with so much charme and atmosphere as it has at the reef retreat, perfect for couples of any age, families or just friends to spend a good time. I will definetly stay at the reef again when i go back to boracay!

Quiet and peaceful, on the windsport beach”
The Reef Retreat is a hidden gem on Boracay and although some might find the walk to white beach to be too long, we found it to be no hassle at all, since it doesn't take 10 minutes to walk there from the hotel. You can of course go to Bulabog beach instead, which is just across the road that runs outside of the hotel entrance. This beach isn't so nice in the peak season as it collects a lot of gunk due to the strong winds, but it's still a decent beach and the water is generally as clean and clear as on white beach. The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms and everything is quite new. The lack of a backup generator can be frustrating during long brownouts , but otherwise our stay was better than we hoped for. If you're into windsurfing or kitesurfing, then this is the hotel for you, as there are two schools and equipment rental places right next to the hotel. We would recommend this hotel to anyone that's looking for a slightly quieter stay off the beaten path in Boracay.

Relaxed and Lovely”
I stayed at the Reef Retreat Resort with my cousin and her family for a few nights, and we all greatly enjoyed our time there. The rooms are very pretty -- simple and clean but with inviting soft touches. The staff was attentive and sweet, the owners Claire and Matthew were prompt in responding to our needs. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to enjoy Boracay but wanting the option of getting away from the hustle of White Beach to relax. A note: I scored a 3 for the food because it's another establishment around the corner that offers food, not the resort. The cafe there does a very good job with what they offer -- simple but well executed sandwiches and pasta and shakes -- but it's a small menu and not open late.

Very comfortable hotel with friendly staff”
My husband and I went to Boracay for vacation and stayed at the Reef Retreat Resort for 7 days in July. It's a very quiet hotel, with 15 minutes walk to the D mall and the white beach. When it's raining we had to walk through some big puddles, but you can take a tricycle if you want to keep your feet dry and that's what we did. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We were very satisfied.

From start to finish the staff bent over backwards to make the stay a pleasant one. Located on the quiet Bulabog beach, Reef Retreat is ideal for couples. White Beach is about a 10-15 minute walk. Trips can be organised thorough the hotel. Though there are no dining options at the hotel itself there are a few decent places for breakfast and dinner nearby. Mini-bar is well stocked and prices are similar to shops and bars, which is ace. Watching the sunrise on Bulabog is a must and the hotel is ideally located for this. Overall I was very impressed by the hotel and would definitely recommend to those who don’t mind walking a little bit to get to places.

great for windsports”
Great location if you kiteboard or sailboard. Enjoy your sport and have the convenience of very comfortable accomodations to take a break in and take refuge in. Hard to beat. Reef Retreat is a good value for your money. White beach, restaurants, nightlife and other island activities are a very pleasant 10 minute walk away. Hotel is small and comfortable. Buildings are new and well constructed. Aircon works well. Large selection of television channels. Wifi is free.

Nice hotel with friendly staff”
if you're into windsurfing or kiting the reef retreat is one of the best options in boracay. breakfast which has been critiqued by other guest was to our liking: fresh fruits and omelette or pancake surfed at the windsurfing bar. the suite is fairly spacious and includes a fully equipped kitchen. tv with a dvd player as well. we stayed there with two (smaller kids) which is ideal. white beach is only 5 min with a tuktuk away.

Nice quiet place”
Reef retreat is located on Bolabog beach which is not the favored beach to go swim, but in July it is a good beach to do activities. However, it is a 10 minutes walk to the white beach which is very crowded. This can be seen as a bad and as a good thing, its a bit further from action, but that also means that you a more peaceful location. There is nothing going on nearby the hotel at night which we enjoyed. The room size was very comfortable, the kitchenette was perfectly functionnal and there were all the tools we needed readily available. However, the couch is rather uncomfortable and the bed is average at best. If you did not turn the fan on as well as the AC, it was quite hot to sleep because the bed is upstairs and the AC doesn't get there. The bathroom is nice, but the hot water is merely warm. The staff was very helpful and always nice.
