Regency House Hotel one night stay”

My wife and I were both impressed with the Regency House Hotel and would stay again, we were on the third floor (top floor), the room was a good size with fridge and microwave included. Bathroom is small but that was not a problem. The little things like providing travel toothbrushes, toothpaste in addition to shower gel etc were appreciated. Staff were all happy and friendly. Norra on reception was great and very helpful. At the time of booking I was split between booking a more expensive Holiday Inn room or the Regency - I made the right choice with the Regency. One more thing the garden at the back was great to have a coffee with the morning sun (if you are lucky to get the sun) on your face.

Exceptional”

We had a great experience at Regency House Hotel. Due to a lengthy delay at the airport, we didn't get in until after midnight. We were relieved to be warmly welcomed despite the late hour. The room was small, but very clean with plenty of toiletries available. The location is very convenient to public transportation and the British Museum. We very much enjoyed the full breakfast and the peaceful patio area. The staff were always friendly and made good suggestions of where to eat and how to get around. Be aware that there are four flights of stairs.

Great Location and Reasonable Price”

I had a hard time looking for a hotel that is reasonably priced in London and that is centrally located. So I a stumbled upon this hotel, I was very happy. It was both! The hotel is one of those old and charming buildings in a residential area (close to UCL and the British Museum) that was converted into a hotel. It is very charming inside actually, and had an old English feel to it with its carpet and chandeliers on the staircase (there is no elevator so perhaps you have to request for a room in a lower floor if you can't carry your suitcase upstairs). The hotel felt more like a serviced apartment, which I actually liked because I felt like really living in London. The room was not very spacious, but it was charming, clean and had a working bathroom. It has the basic hotel amenities as well. Breakfast is also available at the hotel. I arrived pretty late (around 2am I believe) so I was pleased that it has a 24-hour reception. Two things I noticed were (1) the floor on my room squeaked a lot so it surely was noisy to the person occupying the room below me; and (2) the walls were apparently super thin. As I arrived very early in the morning (or very late at night, depending on perspective), I was still fixing my things and unpacking at 2ish am. I may have caused some noise (perhaps from the squeaking or from low-voice conversation but a man started pounding on my door speaking in a foreign language, obviously mad. So I had to stop moving (literally). I never figured out who the man was (as I was obviously not gonna open the door). But in the morning, I was awakened by the neighbor as I could hear them speaking with each other (and could also hear the laughter of their baby). They weren't even shouting; they were only speaking at regular tones/voice levels. I guess I have figured this one out on my first morning so I just became more cautious during the next evenings. I never had any issue after the incident on the first night. Check-in was very fast and check-out was

Amazing ”

Our choice for the Regency house hotel turned out to be amazing. Staff were kind, room condition was good, and the whole atmosphere fitted to our expectation. The only problem were there was no elevator (but it's for all the other classic hotel) and for us, there was not enough vegetable menu on breakfast. HOWEVER, this hotel gave us a good memory, and I'd like to visit again!

Wonderful service and nice hotel”

Strategic location near to University of London, Easy to get public transportation, very clean and hospitable staff

Stayed for one night during our visit to University of London, just about ten minutes walk and the room is very very comfortable with en suite and promotion price is a very good deal however, we booked in May for the trip in November. Breakfast is included and I would to like to commend the female and male staff, sorry we forgot the names who served us very nicely. Would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends and will come again for sure.

Great Location, Clean and Quiet , Spacious ooms”

Location near British Museum, good breakfast, clean room

Excellent value for the money. Most hotels are priced at nearly double this in the centre of London. the hotel has a B&B feel about it, but the service is friendly and fast. Room was clean, much bigger than antipated and we had a room at the back. Very quiet indeed. Really nice stay there. No problems at all. Thoroughly recommend for the person who does not want to spend hundreds of piunds on a room they only see at night!

Good for a short stay”

In a quite part of London close to tube (5 min walk) and main line rail stations. By London prices hotel was reasonable and did include breakfast. We booked for a Saturday night, the room we had was in the basement with one window looking out in to a very small court yard 4 to 5 stories high so gave little nature light. To compound the last of light the room was furnished in dark wood! The room it’s self was of a high quality with a King size bed but was quite small but did have the usual things you would expect except a mains shaving point which was disappointing as they did not have any adopters I could borrow so please take note. The bathroom was well appointed and excellent shower. We had a good night’s sleep with no noise (maybe as we were in the basement!). We had to book what time we wanted breakfast which was fine as we wanted to get away early but would have been more annoying if we had wanted a lay in and breakfast when we felt like it. The reason is that there is only a small dining room, the breakfast was good quality and no complaints. It is a nice little hotel well located, of a good standard but given our room (and I do not know what other rooms are like) you would not want to spend a lot of time in the room given the size and lack of light but is great for a 1 or 2 night stay. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g186338-d528662-r391476923-Regency_House_Hotel-London_England.html#

Centrally located lovely hotel!”

Location is brilliant. The street out front is busy but not a major thoroughfare and the back has a lovely peaceful garden with free tea and coffee and seating areas to enjoy the birds flitting about. My room was nicely decorated in this lovely Georgian building, clean, enough towels and a view over the garden. There was a good choice of breakfast in a pleasant room downstairs. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend it for a visit to London.

One of the Best Stay in London”

Staff, Room, Location

We arrived London quite frustrated because of the traffic congestion. But, the receptionist who received us that night, Anton, was very much responsible for making things all right. He went out of his way to ensure that we would no longer face any inconvenience. It was safe to say that he was our saving grace. It was because of him that our mood picked up a little so that we could enjoy our return stay to London.

This hotel is good!”

From everything in the room to staff's attitude, I can see they care about details. Perhaps it is just what a good hotel would do, but it does make you feel this hotel is a right choice. The room is not very big but it's cozy and they made the most of the space in the room to also equip a fridge and a microwave. They have a list to choose from for breakfast so you will not feel bored about breakfast even staying here for a longer time.

Really nice hotel”

The hotel was lovely. Better than expected. Staff were friendly and room was clean and had everything we needed and more. Beds were comfy and breakfast was good. Our only issue was the size of the bathroom, although it wasn’t a big issue just a bit awkward trying to get in and out as the door opened inwards and it was such a small bathroom. We were in the room with three single beds so not sure if it’s different in other rooms. Think it would help if door was changed to open out.

Great location and hotel.”

We were in London to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and this provided us the perfect base from which to sight-see and go to the show on Shaftsbury Avenue. The breakfast was good but in a very warm room. Very comfortable stay overall.

OK fror a v short trip”

Staff friendliness, location, price

Amazing location, only a 5 min walk t Tottenham Court Road and Goodge St Tube. Friendly staff, especially at breakfast. Great that breakfast is included in the price for such a central hotel. Clean but tired looking around the edges. Could do with a refurb (dark wood and navy blue décor make it look quite dated). I stayed one night in a double room which was quite roomy but the second trip I stayed in a single room as that was all they had and I would NOT recommend such a room unless you literally are in and out in one night as it was teeny tiny!

Nice cozy hotel”

it is near to metro station. The breakfast is made with love. Near to museums.

It is a clean cozy hotel. The room is well maintained. It may be small but it is alright for couple. However, the bathroom may be abit small.
