Apartment was a treat”
We stayed at a hostel the night before (6 in one room), so the apartment at the Regent House was a welcome change! The bedrooms (3) were all comfy, and it was nice to have a kitchen. We were very interested in washing our clothes, but the washer did not seem to be working, and the receptionist kind of shrugged when it was mentioned. Be sure to ask for enough towels when you check in, as we could have used more. The hotel is within walking distance of the bus and train stations, and was just blocks from a drop off on the hop-on, hop-off bus.

Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed our stay at the Regent House Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, the breakfast was satisfactory and the rooms were immaculate and the bed was comfortable enough for us to have a good night's sleep

- The Hotel Room is comfortable, but the wifi reception is bad. - The Hotel is located at York Place, where Edinburgh Airport Tram terminates. - Check out Time is 10:30AM, which is a bit inconvenient.

Comfortable stay”
The hotel is ideally situated in Old Town and a 10 minutes walk to Edinburgh Waverly station. It is also very accessible, in particular by bus (one can get the 3.50 single day ticket). Our room had 1 queen sized bed and two single beds, which is more than what we expected.

Only booked few days earlier Was delighted with price, location was excellent for bus station and Playhouse Theatre. Room was absolutely adequate, as were facilities. An additional heater provided in room if you need it. Staff were very friendly and efficient and the breakfast food provided was adequate and good quality. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

Comfortable Stay”
The hotel was located 10 mins walk away from the Edinburgh Waverly Station. Had basic amenities but no lift, and the toilet was extremely tiny. The furniture was old as well.

Fair price, nice location, trash not cleared, staff not friendly”
My brother and I travelled from York to Edinburgh and we arrived at the hotel by 10:30pm. I have wrote a remarks when I made the booking that I would be arriving late but the staff at the front desk blamed me for not telling them about my late arrival. The trash in the room is not cleared. Bed is made clean and tidy though. Shared bathroom and toilet are clean. I stayed here for only 1 night. As it charged a fair price for accommodation at the town centre and close to the railway stattion, I would recommend here for short stay and for those who could accept a room with trash left over from previous customers.

The hotel is located a bit close to New Town and walking distance to Waverly Train Station. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. Reception staff is very accommodating and always smiles to brighten up your mornings! :) Overall it was a lovely stay and I will definitely stay here again next time.

Good Budget Overnight Stay”
The Hotel was halfway between Waverley Station (5mins walk) and our venue. We arrived late after evening meeting in Aberdeen - no problem. Slept well and were fresh for a day's meetings in the Bellevue area.

the hotel is close to the main station and calton hill. although it's not located at the most central district like prince street or royal mile way area, it's just 5-10 minute walk but very quiet at night. the breakfast is simple but nutritious. the staff are friendly and warm. highly recommended.

Overnight stopover on return from a trip.”
I arrived in the early hours of the morning and the ladies of the night were hanging around the streets on approach to the hotel. However, it may be the case in most parts of the city centre. The hotel manager and staff were helpful and obliging. The room with ensuite was in need of refurbishment, but clean with comfortable bed and good enough for a budget overnight stay. I didn't get a lot of sleep as the guests were very noisy, banging doors, etc. early in the morning, so I decided since I was wakened to go down for a buffet breakfast which was included and a good selection was provided.

It is a bit far from the train station (15-minute walk) and the Royal Mile (20-minute walk or more), but the room is decent and comfortable with large bathroom. The staffs are helpful and the breakfast is nice. However, there is no laundry service nearby.

Overall my stay was very good room was nice and clean easy access to public transport staff were helpful and friendly the only thing that let it down was that they could have had the choice of a cooked breakfast then it would have been perfect but would still stay there again and recommend to friends and family
