Excellent hotel of this class... the staff are very nice they welcome me very warmly and I feel that I am VIP. Front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming.. also fortunately I was upgraded to a double room which has a big space. The room was neat and nice with a good kitchen and laundry that i didn't expect which surprises me, it was really nice to have that. The area is spacious and one of the best. If you are looking for a value for money and yet a very good hotel, i might say this hotel is not that much very high end such as for a king to stay but compare to other hotel you can tell the difference. I'll be back to this place and highly recommend to others.

We spent eight hours at the transit hotel between our very long flight from Sydney and our long flight to the UK. It wasn't cheap, but it was absolutely worth every cent. The hotel was easy to find (stand facing the teddy bear front on, then look left over your shoulder for the elevators) and we were checked in immediately, which meant that we were in the room 20 minutes after landing, showered and asleep 20 minutes after that. The showers were great, the room was large and perfectly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I was surprised how quiet it was. We didn't hear any aircraft noise, nor did any noise come through from the terminal itself, so we slept well. This meant that the second flight - normally an ordeal in economy - was much more pleasant and we arrived in much better shape than normal. I'll be staying here every time I transit through Doha.

Everything was great from the hotel location: great and amazing view of the Arabian gulf, cleanliness: housekeeping staff was hospitable (Trio and Joseph), front desk staff were warm and accommodating (Irene, Hafez). Check-in and check-out processing time was fine but card key was not available at check-in. My only issue was for the car parking services, I inquired and wanted to park my car on the basement parking lot but was told by front desk staff that basement parking access was just for long-term stay (guests). On my 2nd night of stay, as I was assisted by security personnel he told me that front space parking was full and I was asked to park outside, in front of the hotel beside the road, as to arrange this issue, finally they let me inside the basement parking. Please hotel management must organize regarding guests car parking issues. Nevertheless my stay here was great, I would rate my overall experience as 4 out of 5 stars.

We spent a night at Banana Island, Doha, this past August. My tenage kids are still wants to go back. We all enjoyed our stay, to say the least. Added to it, was the service inclined team that works in every section of the resport. They attend to visitors with utmost care and attention. Some of the activities requires additional pay to use, thereby adding to cost. It may come out more expensive than anticipated, but by and large, the experience makes up for the cost. I will definitely recommend this resort.

2 night stay on stop over and was very glad to have choose this hotel over the various options available. Rooms are huge and modern with everything you could ever need. What really sets this hotel apart from the others was the service. From the moment we checked in to the time we left the staff were always willing to help with any of our requests and did so with a smile on their face. Stayed in many supposed 5 star places but the service was truly 5 star. Will stay again and would highly recommend.

GOOD: Airport pick up - Stop by the Oryx counter after baggage claim, and they'll arrange the shuttle to the hotel - From Hotel to Airport, shuttle runs every 30 mins. Room - Bed / Lighting / TV/ All facilities in good working order, very comfortable stay Gym/Pool Modern gym equipment - opens 24/7, good size gym Pool was of good length, you can do good laps but 1/3 of the pool was too shallow and my hands keep scrapping the bottom of the pool. Staff Everyone, especially the Guest Service/Concierge staff excel at delivering a warm and friendly service. NOT SO GOOD: Breakfast / WIFI - extra cost Since I was paying out of pocket, breakfast for USD35 was very expensive. I can't recall paying so much for hotel breakfast in the states. There are no shops around the hotel so you don't have much options. There's a row of McDonalds/KFC fast food about 15 mins walk away. WIFI is now an essential must-have, am hoping Oryx to revise this and make it as a standard "free" option. Location: If you're transiting, this is a superb airport hotel. I stayed 2 nights and went around Doha as a tourist, this hotel is a bit out of the way. Taxi from Hotel to City Centre Shopping Mall is about USD20.

I was speechless at the mere sight of the facade of the hotel. It's a 5-star hotel that renders a 7-star amenities and services. The staff showcased unparalleled professionalism and courtesy starting from the receptionist to the crew. A welcome birthday cake was sophisticatedly prepared making me extra special. Every detail of the hotel was perfection beyond expectation. However, we couldn't find toothpaste and toothbrush so we had to ran to the nearest mall. Overall, it was luxurious, reasonably priced, and a "home away from home". My heartfelt gratitude and surely, we'll be back again.

The best service I ever had in my life! We're on our transit from London to Doha. So we got 11 hours in Doha, so we decided to book this hotel. We were there early to check in but apparently there's no room for us! But, we got so lucky that the assist. manager and the operation manager were to assist us! The operation manager were the best! He brought us to our room to place our bags and even bring us to their breakfast buffet spread eventhough we are there for just few hours! We had great few hours there and their service is EXCELLENT!!! Good job!!

We booked last minute a room from the airport and found a great offer on this hotel but what we didn't except to find was a great room, very spacious with the best view and a very comfortable bed. We slept like babies and we managed to be rested for our flight very early in the morning. Staff was very professional and nice. They let us check in a bit earlier than the normal check in time and also the whole process was very smooth. A real value for money, you should definitely stay here when you are in Doha . The services are exceptional.

The rooms were massive, i paid a bit more for the executive suite with the bigger size room and bigger bed. Well worth $109AUD/ night. It was $20AUD dearer than the deluxe double $89/night. $1AUD = 2 Qatar Riyal. Uber or taxi to Villagio Mall is 22 Riyal. A walk of 300m to KFC and Jollibee and a large supermarket. In same small mall. Staff were absolutely fabulous and very helpful and respectful. Cleaning staff was a bit dopey, i had to go down to the reception to tell them they only left 1 fart ass towel instead of 2. Every day. Restaurant downstairs served nice meals at restaurant prices of course. With the guys all toking on those giant big hooker pipe bongs that sat on the floor with the hash in it and the hose up to their mouth so they could drag the ring out of it. Breathing in that second hand bong smoke stinks like buggery. But, Yes I would definitely stay there again. I love the place 4 stars. Greg from Australia.

I decided to take some time out in Doha by way of a stop over during my return flight to Perth from London. I had read good reviews of the hotel and was not disappointed. It was found to be convenient for both the airport and local attractions, best served by the ever present and cheap oh and air conditioned taxis. During my stay i had contact with a number of staff all were found to be very polite, welcoming and certainly helpful. I had an early flight out and was provided with a place to shower and change which is always of great comfort. I would stay at this hotel again.

It was a very relaxing stay amid the City's busy streets. The breakfast is also very good with lots of food to choose from. The Hotel has friendly Staffs as well, very accommodating! and best of all it's very near Doha's International Airport! I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone who wish to go Doha and are looking for a Hotel to stay in. Its completely a Family Hotel!

i always prefer to stay in this hotel because it has.a complete package. it is affordable, got great location and has kitchenette(thats what im looking for really). but one thing changed it. i booked for my bday and i needed a housekeeping at 12mn. i know its late but im sure its 24/7. so i called the reception and he told me that only 1 housekeeping is available and i told him i can wait. he asked me again why i needed a housekeeping at this hour. of course i needed it. i had a party. before that incident at past 11 i rang the reception to look for one of the staff i know. his reply was very impolite. one last thing. i called him(yes again) at 4am coz the other room is causing singing on the top of their voices (yes again at 4am) and we couldnt sleep. he told me to just go that room and talk to the guest inside.. just sharing. hopefully this will.not happen again. thank you.

I stayed here during the Columbus Day weekend. First, the room I booked was not available. So, the gentleman on the front desk gave me another room, which was a suite! far better and roomier than I had bargained for! That was impressive to say the least. The room layout and facilities were impressive: remote controlled lightings, light blocking curtains, some western channels on tv, availability of 110v wall socket, and more importantly for me, proximity to the Corniche, which made morning runs even more convenient. Parking on their premises is a challenge and this is why I rated it as 4 star. The staff are very helpful though. I woke up one morning to find my windscreen cracked. The hotel manager, Sunil, ensured that they ran through their CCTV and identified the culprit. That in itself, saved me from paying US$420.00 to the rental company. By and large, this is a nice hotel within distance of Souq Waqif and beautiful Doha Westbay area.

This group of hotels are built in the Souq Waqif area which is the market area. The location is one of the best in Doha as you can step out from any hotel in the group straight into the market/restaurant area. This is usual in Doha where most hotels are laid out in rows like office buildings in sterile areas where you will need to drive or taxi to any 'entertainment'. The problem with booking this through Booking.com is you only book the 'group' of hotels and not the individual hotels. I tried asking which hotel we were booked at prior to our stay but could not get any information. So when we arrived we got a taxi one of the hotels, which was the wrong one, then had to move from there to the correct hotel. We assume they do not give the name of the hotel in advance so they can put you in whichever has free space.

We had a great experience with Horizon Manor. In many ways, it is like a five star hotel, but cheap. Beautiful, always clean with fresh towels and a tidy bed, not to mention the best staff there is. They helped you with everything, and even provided free transport to the airport. We booked an ordinary double room, but got a huge room. So amazing! The food was also delicious and the rooftop was mesmerizing. If I have to comment on something, it would have to be the poor selection of equiptment in the gym. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel to everyone! You cannot get a better hotel with this awesome view to a better price anywhere in Doha. Thank you so much Horizon Manor :-) Hugs from Norway

We had a very comfortable stay at the Moevenpick hotel in Doha. We could see the Corniche & Museum of Islamic Art from our window and Souq Waqif was a 10 min stroll away. We were welcomed with delicious complimentary snacks in Reception which are served between 5 & 6pm. The room was large, the bed & pillows were lovely and the curtains very thick so we slept well! As we hadn't booked for breakfast, we ordered room service and had excellent omelettes & coffee. You can get a map of Doha from Reception and there are always cars available to take you where you need to go. There is a small outdoor pool which catches the sun in the morning. There is also a bar but we found it very smokey

Stumbled upon this hotel while looking for a more well known hotels to stay. I was surprised that the facilities and the room (I was assigned) were exactly what I was looking for. It's like a budget 4.75 stars hotel :) Budget means the hallways for the suites are a bit simple and bare, breakfast has only few selections and the indoor pool was small. 4.75 stars was for the hospitality of the front desk staffs, clean room, big pillows, nice room interior finishes, accommodating housekeeping requests andnice smelling Aigner toiletries.. oh and a complimentary juice in a long stemmed glass while I was checking in. I will go back for this hotel. :)

Hyatt has always been our go-to place whenever we want to have some sort of staycation or throw a party, and this time it was my Birthday Party. We were so lucky to have booked this hotel at a very cheap price through Agoda, with a book-now-pay-later option. Location is excellent, just a stone's throw away from City Center Mall. Upon entry to our unit, it smells fresh, everything was very clean, and all the rooms were neatly organized. There was even a basket of fruits in the middle of the dining table. Staff have been really helpful, accommodating, and very patient with all our requestsss (yes, there were a lot!). With regard to the facilities, I should have given a score of 5 if only there was at least a small restaurant or even a shop where we can buy some emergency stuff without going to the mall, especially in a very hot and humid afternoon. Overall, our experience was fantastic! Thank you Hyatt Residences for having us!

We booked a room last weekend April 20-21, 2018 to celebrate the birthday of our friend’s daughter. The location is somewhat not accessible if you dont have a car, but since it is located at the bay side then that’s a plus. We had a smooth time checking in with the help of the courteous staff especially Ms. Hannah, who offered food discounts and membership for Marriott card. The room was very comfortable. There are few mirrors that may give a creepy feeling. Haha. They dont have a jetspray bidet that can be use for doing the business though there’s another bowl that is more common in the household for washing. (We were just thinking that it may not be helpful for elderly). We requested some stuff that we can use in the room and they provided it immediately. The facilities are great especially the pool. We had a great time there. We would also commend Mr. Rifky and others for their honesty and help when I left my phone on one of the couches in the hotel. The foods on Corniche was great. Dinner and breakfast buffet were so satisfying.. we had a great time there and it was a great weekend spent. Thank you Doha Marriott.. More power.

Newly opened hotel by renovating previous building. Sister hotel with "La Villa Hotel" and "La Villa Inn". Good value, though the room was small. Many doors, seems like they made now smaller rooms from the original building bigger rooms. What I liked: - The staffs were friendly. - The water kettle was provided in the room and the hair dryer too. Two water bottles were provided. - The location, surrounding many local shops. - Though I didn't use it, there was a small gym. - Though I didn't use it, there was a large private parking in the hotel (not on the road). What I didn't like: - The shower, all over the bathroom floor was wet after shower since there was nothing to prevent the shower water flooding the whole floor. No bath tub. - The room wall was thin, so I could hear people checked out in the morning. Also the pigeon/doves voice woke me up from the window.

I found this hotel in agoda.com. I was in the previous days in another hotel for the same price and I immediately felt the difference. Safir hotel is a great hotel: rooms are big, modern, clean, with nice shower and good complementary kits. There is also at the PH floor a very pleasefull swimming pool and a great gym with all the essential cardio and body building machineris. And also a sauna, jacuzzi and stem room. The staff is also very nice and ready to support you in every request. Eventually the price is very compelling. The best thing is the restaurant with very cheap business meal and western food crispy and healthy. Only drowback that I have to say: the not allow you to bring a guest on the table beside the pool unless pay an extra. This is not very pleasant because if your guest not use the facilities but just stay on table inside the pool for example a business conversation does not make sense to me to do not allow him the free acces. They maybe solve this problem.

My (expensive) prearranged airport pick up did not go smoothly so things did not get off to a good start. After email confirmations I was confident I would see a sign with my name on it at arrivals at 00:30 midnight. Annoyingly, I did not. The kind assistant at airport Information desk called the hotel who advised someone would come in about 15 minutes. They did, he was holding a sign with my name on it but no explanation as to why I had had to call first when they already had my flight details etc. Next issue was whether or not breakfast was included, as I thought it was, in my booking. Fortunately I had this well documented so there was no argument after I was able to provide evidence. Had I not had my booking confirmation things may have been difficult. Having said this, my stay was enjoyable, the room and bed were very comfortable, breakfast offered good choices and above all, all staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location for MIA and Souq Waqif.
