Traveling to Spain? Find Asturias hotels

I hesitated about whether to rate the facilities as good or excellent. The reason I did not rate it as excellent is probably unfair to the hotel. My husband is a vegetarian and I do not eat a lot of meat, so eating out in rural Spain is somewhat difficult. I think if they get more guests from the US and the Uk they might introduce a few more vegetarian options.Wonde...

Nice modern hotel in the modern section of Oviedo, about twenty minutes from old town. The rooms are big and of a high standard. The only negative I have to say about the hotel is the lack of personnel at reception and always having to queue to speak to receptionist. However, they were always pleasant and helpful when you eventually got to speak with them.

There's no need to spend more money on a fancier place. There are restaurants (albeit not trendy) in the area. Breakfast is a simple, but adequate, buffet, and quite inexpensive. Very convenient parking garage with a discounted rate with ticket validated by NH Principado. You have to pay for parking at the window...not the machine. Room was small but very comfortable. Location was very convenient to restaurants, park, and the church square.

Geographically very well placed to avail of seaside attractions and excellent restaurants with great fish menus. Very easy to access motorway to get to mountains and the great variety of attractions in the Cangas, Cavadonga and Picos de Europa areas. Just great to find such a lovely little hotel outside Bordeaux so that I didn't have to drive into the city and battle with the traffic and parking problems. To arrive at a hotel and the staff takes your car to a safe carpark nearby was a pleasant surprise, especially when you arrive rired after a long drive. The whole stay was fantastic with a clean quirky room at the highest floor, great service in the restaurant, and very attentive staff. The owner can be proud of the people he employed.

In a large park, but a 5 minute walk to the sea front, and also to lots of shops, bars and local places. Like many Paradors, its a bit aged, and not great value, but the location and staff made for a very pleasant four night stay.

We arrived very very late but were still met with efficienct friendliness. The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. An excellent breakfast beautifully presented. The hotel was very tastefully appointed and with many facilities - restaurant spa etc. extremely well priced too. I would certainly stay again.

We picked this hotel because it has a spa, and we had planned a relaxing couple's weekend. Very Historical parador with incredible service ,the city also so beautiful , and the locals are so friendly, the snow capped mountains are nearby, it's all and more that anyone can ask for .

The Hotel is nicely situated in a fairly quiet residential area and next to a lovely grassy park adjoining the promenade/coastal path leading to the beach and main town. great email communication, very friendly at reception. parking was a breeze and our room was lovely. there is no air conditioning, but since it was september in the mountains, none was needed. breakfast was adequate but we did not try the dining room. it seemed a somewhat limited menu, but some other travelers we met enjoyed it quite a lot. lovely setting...

Recommend the food

In an excellent location, 10 minutes walk from the coach and train station, 10 minutes walk from the historical old town. Room 103 was small, but suited the needs. Free wifi was one of the strongest/fastest I've experienced. Staff was enthusiastically helpful. Negative - they charged my credit card before arrival even tho I really wanted to pay by cash.

I stayed at this hotel while trying to complete the “Primitivo” route to Santiago de Compostela. I suffered a tendinitis, and eventually had to abandon my plan. Basic, no-frills hotel in the middle of the city. Friendly staff and breakfast available early. Good value.

Memorable! The best part of our trip was the sumptuous accommodations. Staff is friendly and courteous. It's a beautiful building with historic appointments yet with modern facilities. a perfect marriage of old and new world. We loved it.

This is a well-located and comfortable hotel in the heart of Oviedo. The Cathedral and the “cider street” (Calle Gascona) and its many restaurants are less than 5 minutes away. The breakfast buffet was generous and the staff friendly.

Don't except anything from this hotel, especially not a "mirador". You just face the mountain in an overall ugly building. The rooms are dirty, full of dead insects. Moreover, they are humid and there is mould on the walls. The food is good and the owner is nice. His wife on the other hand is just like the hotel, not worth the detour.

A nice little village is Corao on the way to Covadonga (venue of a famous war in the 8th century) and to the National Parc Picos de Europa. Rural hotel with best options: simple, but nice and functional locals, very rich breakfast including lots of homemade food. Charming owner with good knowledge for and about tourists.

Like visiting long lost relatives.
