I am so happy to stay in this place. The staff are truly very accommodating and very warm to all their guests. Although not in the center of the town, you can easily walk to the other cafes and other attractions nearby. I'd like to also give credit to the kitchen staff who are very efficient in providing us great choice of breakfast. It's also very considerate of them to ask us what we'd want for breakfast at night! The rooms are quite large so it's not really an option to get a room for solo travelers unless you'd want to have a room with 4 beds all to yourself. I'd definitely keep in mind Batanes Seaside Lodge for my next Batanes trip!

Fina at the front desk is very knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. She set up our tour and massages, and other requests. On a side note, we also got an awesome guide, Felix. We didn't have transport waiting for us at Sabtang. From what I was told, the hotel staff set it up through a text message but there was no confirmation from their Sabtang contact. We were lucky we still got one at the pier that Felix arranged upon our arrival. We then changed our vehicle to the one pre-arranged at Savidug. That's why I'm giving a 4 for the staff rating. Meal choices are limited. And you can really observe how sparingly fruit is served. I do not count this against them. You have to understand that Batanes is an island far from the main islands and is typhoon-ridden. Fruits and veggies that are common to us are not that common to them. We asked Felix what their main dish, side dish, best dessert is and it's all sweet potato! Obviously a root crop that is less unaffected by typhoons!

My family and I loved our stay! It is a bit far from the town center of Basco, but my mother requested for a place near the beach that offers buffet breakfast, so we booked Amboy Hometel. We didn't bother with the distance. Amboy is located in a quiet side of town (although the whole of Batanes is quiet compared to where we are from) near an elementary school and a few other lodging places like it. My brothers and I were able to walk around 20 minutes to the town center and we enjoyed the scenery along the way. The food was in the restaurant was good--less MSG and artificial seasoning, which characterizes most of the food in Batanes. It's good for the health and a way to let the digestive system rest. They also have a backyard vegetable garden, which my parents loved. We initially booked a family room, but got upgraded to two rooms near the beach because of renovation works. Staff are courteous and friendly, not a surpise as Ivatans are well-known for their warmth.

Stayed for 6 nights and didnt regret it. Their logo is true.Its your happy nest in Batanes.It feels home away from home.Staff are very polite and accomodating.I wanted to stay for another night becoz i missed to booked for my extension stay but unfortunately they are fully booked might be because of their good review.I booked for other accomodation with 4 star and has compare Nathaniel Lodge.I can say Nathaniel is much better. If still continue with their current service and price I think this Lodge will be sought after accomodation in Batanes. Pros: Decent room.Very Polite and accomdating staff.Breakfast is OK.Location is good. Cons:Only serve breakfast.Saw some ants and 2 cokraches which is normal for a not 4 to 5 star accomodation Overall I will highly recommend this lodge in Batanes will definitely comeback if have chance. Travelling is my hobby and have stayed to different hotel worldwide. I decided to help other by giving an honest review.

Basco is a small town so every hotel you plan to stay in the area is walking distance to all the restaurants, convenience stores, and souvenir shops. The good thing about Shanedel's is that it's located beside the ocean so you get a very spectacular view of the sunrise and sunset. The place was clean as well and they have their own restaurant. In terms of value for money, its expensive but so as other hotel and things if you go to Batanes.

Hotel is 4 streets away from Basco airport. Souvenir shops is just around the area. Hotel is strategically located near Beehan for affordable food. Ate Chandra was able to assist us in getting our tour guide which we arranged at the hotel. No available wifi in most part of Batanes. Intermittent mobile data signal for Globe network. Usually available only every morning but can no longer connect to the internet for the rest of the day. It is advisable to use Smart SIM as it has more stable signal in Batanes. Overall, a great experiece and will definitely back here.

Stayed here for 3-4 days, visiting Batanes for the first time, solo. Met the owner ("Gino") who was very friendly, had a one hour + chat and told me the history of the town, and his involvement with it since the 90s. Signed up for the tour they do, saw the north, south and other island over three days, his son came along and was also great in sharing stories of the place, helping to arrange everything, and ensuring I had a good time and felt very welcome when traveling solo. Everything was punctual, meals, driver, drop offs and pick ups for dinner. It is a very remote province, so food is mainly imported from Luzon (although there are local producers for some things) , water pressure in shower isn't great, and some other small things, but such a great family make it a super enjoyable and worth visiting, to get the most that Batanes has to offer. Great place to disconnect from internet, phone, spend time living very leisurely and just thinking about life, while surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Right in the CBD of Basco, 5 min drive from the airport, walking distance to everything, and they can rent you a bicycle.

We stayed here for 3 nights. If you want to experience the Batanes lifestyle, you may want to experience it here. Rooms were clean especially the sheets, if you need to buy something they have a store downstairs, laundry is not a problem because it's a house apart from this lodge and take note that if you have dirty clothing they do handwash it. I love their big balcony on the second floor, you can buy your booze, chips, wine and the like and just chill on the breezy balcony. Nanay Erlinda was very accommodating, she will act like as your temporary mother during your stay. Ate Lisa is a cool staff also, she always smiles and very friendly to us. Thanks for your warm hospitality, Ivatan's are very very very kind hearted people. All throughout my journey in the Philippines, Batanes has the best people to deal with 😄

A beautiful place near the beach. The staff are friendly and accommodating. It may be a bit away from the commercialised and busy Basco, but offers a quite place - so Batanes in its setting, Its only a tricycle away, which can be provided by Dive Batanes. Chanarian is also good for walking or jogging and I had a great time walking up to the best view of Mt. Iraya on the road to Mahatao. Tukon is minutes away and also walkable which can provide stunning 360 degrees views of Batan including Valugan Bay and Mt. Matarem.
