Find Hotels in Ca Mau Province, Vietnam

Stayed here previously one time prior with my fiancée as she is from Ca Mau and visiting her family Thought we would stay here again and this time take an additional room with 3 beds for her father, sister and brother in law. The next day my wife’s family who lives in Ca Mau was checking out and made them wait in the lobby because apparently there was 1 towel missing. The room should have had 3 towels but was stocked with just 2 and pretty much accused them of taking the towel. My wife who is also from Ca Mau was very angry and said the hotel treated them that way because they are Viet but if was me an American, would have been no problem. First of all, the hotel knows I booked that room on my credit card and if there was a problem they should have called me instead of treating my wife’s family like criminals...this to me sits poorly as the hotel itself and location otherwise is great. This was the downside of our stay. The upside to a great location is the free breakfast buffet .

1. Location : it is very far from the city and there is not any interesting recreation. the river view room that i booked is not as my expectation cause the true front view is the gardengarden which is really artificial, not natural at all. 2. food : expensive and not savory 3. room facility : basic but the room rate is acceptable at that standard 4. Hotel staff : not very considerated. I arrived in Ca Mau quite early and checked with receptionist if hey have available room for free early check in. they said they still have but extra money to be required. how strict they were. For the check of if they could serve seafood in-room, they said no when i asked if they could bring in some left food that i ordered at the restaurant, then they said they can serve in - room if i ordered further. I left the the hotel earlier than 1 night though my booking was 2 nights.

OK it probably is the "best" in Ca Mau but it is a bit 1970's time warp. It is situated out of town but taxis are so cheap. No pool - we went and looked; it isn't being repaired - is is left to fester. Family room was OK, clean if a bit tatty - but good for the price. Breakfast was in huge conference room - wide range of bizarre dishes but stick to the pho, bread and fruit and you're OK. We arrived on the flight from HCMC at 8am and they gave us free extra breakfast and early check in - not really a problem as the place was eerily quiet. However WE LOVED IT - the staff arranged for an English speaking taxi drive to take us to Uh Minh forest and he was wonderful and really looked after us. They also arranged a free minibus transfer to bus station for our bus to Can Tho. They speak limited English so persevere (guidebook was helpful)or try and find the owners.

When my wife and I checked in the hotel, the receptionist was not even a bit English spoken. My wife needed to speak with her in Vietnamese and she seemed to be confused and did not know anything about our reservation. She requested to keep my printed hotel voucher and then handed us a piece of room key. When we entered the room, we were shocked that the condition of the room was so terrible. There was a big mark on the wall and the toilet was so old and seemed to be dirty with little amenity. We stayed there for three nights and my wife wanted to change the room the day after and another receptionist said there was no room available in an unfriendly manner. We had to bear with it for another two nights. Food in the breakfast buffet was ok but ants could be seen in the cabinet storing the glass for beverage. Not recommended strongly when people visit Ca Mau and there should be better choice in that city with the same price. Fake whatever three star hotel they claim!
