Where to stay in Gjirokastër
Gjirokastër hotels & accommodations

We were booked into Kalemi 2 but when we got there they said we were booked into Kalemi 1. So we were the only 1 in our group of friends that are not staying together. The walk was 10mins away uphill and downhill at times. No email was sent to us to inform us that the hotel was fully booked out even though our booking was confirmed.

This hostel is probably the best I have ever stayed in. As soon as I entered for the first time it felt like home. The atmosphere was so lovey. Walter gave an interesting free walking tour and we had an amazing typical Albanian dinner prepared by the lovely staff. Thumbs up!

B&B Kotoni was set in a lovely location high up in the town with views over the town and castle, and to the mountains in the distance. The young lady who ran the accommodation was very helpful, and also cooked our traditional (and substantial) breakfast and...

bit of a long trek up a long hill street so careful with luggage but highly rewarding upon arrival. this is a historic hotel with amazing city views including the castle, wifi is weak on higher floors but strong in the 2nd floor lounge which was also a historic ottoman styled lounged. fresh made breakfast, worth a stay

This was 500 leke ($3.75) well spent, as it would have been hard to find without gps. It was quite close, and when we arrived there were many cars parked and even doubl...

Owners very friendly and helpful. Best deal in Gjirokastra. Shuttle bus to Castle on next block. Nice view from roof of hotel day or night. Good places to eat nearby. Big Grocery with Ice Cream and Byreks very reasonable, just down the street. Will stay here again.

The room was very comfortable and clean. It had a great view of Manalat. The owners were very friendly. They also showed us the main attractions of the old town in Gjirokaster. The breakfast was excellent, traditional and very tasty. Overall it was a great experience.

the room was really nice and the whole house had just to be seen one time in life! the decoration is really different that usual and it makes it special. the people were so kindly and helpful even without speaking much English. the breakfast was very good and most probably made by the people there themselves. the accommodation ist very well situated with an amazing v...
