We really love this hotel with its Japanese Zen ambience, and 4 beds which accommodate our family very well. All is good except that this hotel has a strict policy of early check out at 10 am, and the staff is not flexible to give us an extension of check out even at 11 am. Then on check out day, we have passed all our keys to reception to check out, however we are still hanging out at the tea room area on 5th floor to have breakfast, and one of the staff was unhappily saying to us, you need to hurry, it is now check out time. This gesture of your staff is really unacceptable, and quite rude. Hopefully you can train your staff to be more hospitable. We have basically do our best by adhering to your policy to check out at 10 am, but no need to rush us to leave the building. Your property should earns a 5* rating but because of this, you are just a 4* rating for us.

We decided to take an overnight trip to Kanazawa and chose this hotel due to its proximity to the station. Everything about the hotel felt new and stylish. Some have complained about thin walls or noise from trains outside, but we found our room to be quite well isolated for noise. The staff is very kind and always tries their best to speak English. The only strange thing is that we heard someone bleep their card key to open our room door around midnight. The person never entered our room because we had the safety lock on, but we were surprised this was even possible.

The location is very convenient, a quick walk from the JR station with buses to get you anywhere you want to go in Kanazawa. The facilities are really really great, and the rooms are enormous for Japan! The free happy hour and free ramen hour are an amazing extra bonus, the noodles are delicious. Breakfast at the hotel is quite good, with quality food and a large variety, including some Kanazawa specialties. The onsen is spacious, and you can see a live update on how busy it is on your room TV which is really nice. Highly recommend booking this hotel - it was the best stay we had on our 20 days in Japan.

We decided to pay a little extra and book a superior room. The room was really spacious and the bed was amazing - 180CM wide! The hotel is a 2 minutes walk from Kanazawa station. Good breakfast. staff was super friendly and helpful (the clerk offered to assist us with operating the laundry machine). Coin laundry machine on the 5th floor, cheap prices. The universal smartphone charger at the room was a welcomed addition.

Front Desk Staff are very friendly and responsive. Hotel is keep the luggage for us before check in and after check out. Close to Kanazawa JR Station about 7 mins walk. We booked triple bed room which is good to fix in 2 adults 2 children. Room is clean & cosy. The onsen is located next block and have to bring the towel from hotel room. Overall is very satisfactory stay with Hotel Mystays Kanazawa Castle. Value for money.

The best thing about this hotel is its location - it is situated practically at the doorsteps of Kanazawa train station and several major shopping malls with many options for cafes and restaurants. We enjoyed the public bath and onsen on Level 2 which is free for hotel guests and is open daily up to midnight. The reception staff are extremely helpful. Twice we called them and within minutes they were at our room door to attend to our needs without expecting to be tipped. Like other hotels in the Apa group, this hotel comes highly recommended.

The Hotel is in a perfect position, with high quality/price ratio. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable and larger than a standard single bed (we had a triple),the pijamas offered nice. What we appreciated the most was the large choice excellent quality toiletries (eg shampoo and bath salt to relax after a tiring day) and coffee/tea selection, indeed the best we have ever found! We would definitely recommend this hotel.

A fantastic hotel with great staff. One our first night we asked for reservations to a good sushi restaurant. The concierge booked us into one of the top 5 best sushi restaurant in Kanazawa city. Wow. Our meal was fantastic and we were so fortunate to have this lady concierge made the reservation for us. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are fantastic. Shower water pressure is perfect. Breakfast is another great item in this hotel. Very excellent. Location of the hotel was great. Just next to Kanazawa Station & bus terminal - it allowed us to make excursions around the city using the bus and also we managed to visit Shirakawa-go with the express bus. Nearby the hotels were plenty of good restaurants and bars. All-in, we truly enjoyed our short stay in this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights (booked twice since we were supposed to stay only two nights but there were Osaka Earthquake and so we stayed one more night). The first and second night we got a very big room (around 32m2) with 2 television and living room. The third night we got a smaller room but still very big (for a Japanese Hotel) and we could easily open two to three big luggages and still had some room to move around. The room service was cheap but the taste was so so. The hotel located about 10 minutes walk from the station. Will be back if we got back to Kanazawa

Our stay at UAN was too short. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, starting from the lobby with free hot and cold beverages to the lounge with its library of (Japanese) books. We booked a room including breakfast and didn't regret it. There is a choice of Japanese or Western breakfast, and guests need to pick a timeslot. So, in case you have particular plans, submit your desired breakfast time along with the booking.

the location is close to the bus stop and there are shooping malls connected to the hotel and across the road. Their staff is very helpful and friendly. I was heading to Osaka from Kanazawa and would stay at a private homestay with no frontdesk to hold my luggages in Osaka. The staff was very helpful by trying their best to find the closest place where i could pick my luggages. i would highly suggest traverllers to stay in hotel if you want to send luuggages from one city to another city. Room is nice and clean. Perfect size for 2 people.

The front desk staff is a bit off. 3 of us check in for 2 rooms, she only checked in 1 person with 1 room. After explain to her, she went to check our bookings for long time. They shall get the room and keys ready for those with bookings in advance instead of blur around. The room is fine, typical Japanese small sized hotel. Onsen with Jacuzi is a bonus. Hotel restaurant price is much lower than outside surprisingly. Overall it's good stay.

Clean, no frill, good service and value for money given the price. Booked first night at SGD 120+ (Due to good friday weekend) and 2nd night at around SGD80+. Room is a bit cramp as usual for Japan hotel - business hotel. 10-12 mins walk from Kanazawa Station or take cab JPY 660-900 depends on traffic. Near to Kenrokuen n Kanazawa Castle too- via short cut walk. By cab is arround 660¥ meter wont jump cos so near. Overall good hotel to stay if u are on biz travel or have small luggages. Otherwise please book for bigger room.

If you are visiting Kanazawa book your room at Ryokusone asap! From beautiful decor, exceptional concierge and guest services, to the best food we have had in Japan, do yourself a favor and make sure you you stay with the folks at Ryokusone for at least one night. We selected breakfast only as an option, but judging by the amazing experience we had I can only imagine what dinner looks and tastes like. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in this hidden gem of a city!

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the town, but feels a million miles away from it, as it is situated in the forest. If you carry on up the hill past the hotel there is a lookout tower with amazing views (mountains, forest, even the sea) and a beautiful shrine and walk through temple grounds. The temple is also accessible from the town, so you can go for a pleasant loop which takes around 45 minutes.

We arrange a day or 2 ago to ask hotel fetch us at the station. Upon arrival, two friendly uncle help us carry bags to their small bus. Then bring us to hotel. There are another 3 or 4 staffs standing outside of hotel main lobby to greet us. Then bring us to checkin counter, as we reach earlier, she offer us a free bicycle rental for us to roam around the beautiful country side town. Most of the shops are not open during lunch time, so end up we eat at convinience store. About 3 plus we back to hotel, again a warm welcome at main door. There is a japanese staff lead us to counter again. When they found out that we can speak mandarin, a chinese staff approach us and she help us with all processes. She introduces us the in house hot bath area, lead us to room, and make tea for us. She is very straight and cute that always able to make us laugh. Hotel do offer paid private pool, (free at the morning for hotel guest). We took one and never regret paying that. The hotel room is spacious, very nice decorated, we took the japanese style room. Every single items are taken care by them, and you just need to enjoy it. We didnt book the hotel food, so at night we went out, nearby there is this japanese-chinese style uncle that do all the cooking. The food not bad, together with a warm sake, perfect moment. The next day we check out and uncle send us back to station again. Again, staffs stand outside and wave good bye to us. I need to praise for the details of the services, they continuously wave till our bus turn and cannot see us. If system allowed, i would like to give 6 stars for staffs, all facilities is great, but staffs make it perfect and outstanding. Thank you Rurikoh staffs and girl from hubei, you made our trip a memorable one.

I booked this hotel for a trip with my family of 6, specifically for the Japanese style rooms and the natural hot springs onsen. Although the fixtures in the rooms were quite dated (1980’s), the size of the rooms and the experience of staying in a Japanese style room was a nice change from the small business hotels we stayed at in other cities in japan. We were able to hang out in each other’s rooms on the tatami mats, and having access to the onsen was great! The bathrooms did smell like sulfur at times, but staff explained that the smell was from the natural springs. We enjoyed the free water, coffee and tea in our rooms, and free ice cream outside the onsen lounge. The staff were incredibly accommodating. The hotel was within walking distance of the garden and castle, but required public transportation to get to and from the JR station. We didn’t find many food options we liked around the hotel, unfortunately, and opted to eat at the JR station (look for the conveyor belt sushi and tsukeman restaurants! They’re amazing!). Overall, we had a lovely time, and I would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a traditional experience.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, certainly considering the incredible value for money. This boutique hotel merges Western and Japanese style perfectly with a super-attentive staff, relaxed but luxurious athmosphere, incredible attention to detail and a perfect guest experience. This hotel is the very definition of a boutique hotel and can be measured against the best in its class worldwide.

Hotel Kanazawa is located less than a 5 minutes walk from the eastern exit of JR Kanazawa Station, making it very convenient to get to especially after a long train trip. Right in front of the hotel is the local bus interchange/hub, where buses going to all corners of the city start their journey. Also, buses going to the famous attraction of Shirakawa-go depart from this interchange. The room in the hotel was large and roomy, very different from the tiny hotel rooms in Tokyo that are of the same price. The room was kept very clean throughout our trip. The staff were professional and spoke good English. They were also very helpful with directions.

This was the first stop of our two weeks in Japan, and we fell in love with Kanazawa and in large part to HATCHi. We booked a whole room for our group of 5, which came with 4 bunk beds (8 beds) and huge windows to look out onto the street. Beautiful any time of the day. The city is so quiet and it's a really short walk to everything we wanted to do in Kanazawa - the old Geisha district and Gold Leaf workshop. The cheesecake in the cafe was the best thing we ate on our whole trip, and we also had Butter Chicken for breakfast - which was kinda odd, but delicious!! Bathrooms and showers are clean and modern, and there are individual safes in each bunk. I actually left my laptop in the safe - and the hotel emailed me right away and I was able to leave it with them for a week while we travelled and came back to get it at the end of the trip. Very honest and helpful staff!
