My son and I enjoyed snorkeling right in front of the resort. The staff, particularly Scarlet and Gemma, were very accommodating. The place was very quiet which was perfect for relaxation. The food was so good! We got a bonus when the full moon appeared in its majestic view while we were on the beach. Traveling from Masbate City to Altamar was quite a toll though but we will certainly go back!

Pros - Strategically located with lots of restaurant nearby (McDonalds - 50m away, Jollibee - 70m away, Mang Inasal - 50m away, Chowking - 100m away, Rodeo - 50m away) - With nearby pharmacy and convenience store (South Star Drug and LCC both are 50m away) - Church is just around the corner - Affordable price (50% off during our stay) - Accommodating staff - Comfortable bed Cons - WiFi is weak during peak hours - No lift/elevator - Size of bathroom is on the small side - Bathroom has no window and exhaust fan - TV cable signal/connection is weak

This place is very recommended for travelers who are looking for a real getaway - away from tourist spots. There is a looong beach directly in front of the small Resort where you can walk and meet the friendly locals doing their daily routine (fishing, cooking, swimming , boat cleaning..). You can make real friends here! The owners of the resort (Franc & Joreen) are extremely nice and are making any effort to make you happy. Franc is also an awesome cook, I tried many of the dishes on the menu and they were extremely good! If you looking for a very relaxed time, this is the place to be in Masbate. I loved my stay here and will definitely come back! (The resort is located about 2 km away from Placer, a village 2 hours drive with public van from Masbate Town (180 PHP))

aircon is not working well (not cold and noisy. toilet, shower & bath are not clean, it is grimmy, slimy and unhygienic. no daily cleaning and replacement of towels and bedsheets. no cleaning of toilet and daily disposal of trash. under the bed has an obnoxious smell, indicating unclean. under the bed there is a noise of a rat or rodent making noise and boaring the walls. no amenities. only toothbrush and small toothpaste. homestay set up. all members of the family are in the hotel, the baby, the dog, the househelp, etc. guests are also loud doing drinking spree outside the room that destracts of the sleep of other guests. it is truly disaster experience. only commendable is the laundry woman who also does the cleaning of public areas, she is friendly and approachable. but has no clue of what is a hospitality service. even owners and other staff are not aware of hospitality service and guest's needs. they have to be oriented of the hotel industry needs and how to take care of guests. thank you.
