Toba was my first trip outside of the usual "tourist" Japan, and it did not disappoint. The Hotel Int'l Shiojitei is a beautifully done place, with a clean, minimalist "vibe" to it, but with a touch of modern flair. The staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One thing to keep in mind is that in the area of Toba, Ise, Mie (nearby places you'll pr...

The hotel has a stunning ocean view as the hotel is situated at the tip of a peninsula. The standard suite we booked was huge. Yummy set dinner and buffet breakfast were included in our package. There is a Mikimoto counter inside the gift shop. Good value-for-money small items are available if you're after Mikimoto stuff as souvenirs (starting from around JPY 6000). T...

this is my first time to Tsu, Mie, Japan to visit my friend there. First impression of this place is easy to reach and staff's hospitality. It is easy to reach by walk. They can speak English good and they give leaflet about hotel info including free ramen in the night for complimentary! room was small but so clean and it has Japanese designed. All compact and good...

Shima Kanko hotel has great location and fantastic views. But food is very expensive and not up to standard. By adding breakfast and food charges it becomes more expensive than a luxury Onsen ( it has no Onsen). There not much to do in Shima. There are other island based hotel choices which are much more value for money and to experience Japan island life style.

The hotel has an excellent value for the money. The bedding (mattresses) can be updated to be more comfortable and the room could have some decoration such as a painting. It would be nice to have a coffee maker and a safe in a room. Of course, all that above would require a higher room charge, I understand. All in all, I will come back definitely.

I read the other reviews, and YES this is a love motel. Although a love motel, I will point out, that it is not dirty as one might imagine, and the cost of the room per night is well worth it especially if you are just there to sleep an out all day. I will give 1 caution to those with families... Be careful with the TV, as there are mature "Very Mature" TV stations tha...

We drove so it was easy to access, and they were located on the hill so views were not bad. We took the japanese room which we enjoyed, though the hotel is getting a little old. There is no restaurant around the hotel so we decided to take the dinner buffet. They charged us 4150 JPY per person and it was not good... the food wasnt worth half of that. Definitely dont re...

Our stay at Hotel Fine Garden Kuwana was great! The room was very big and we were surprised to see a massage chair, slot machine, psp player, and even a projector. Didn't expect the bathtub to be a jacuzzi as well which made our stay very relaxing. Only down side is the location being far from subway stations. We arrived late at night so only option to go there is to r...

Perhaps one of the nicest ryokan in Mie. It is expensive no doubt but you get a decent dinner and breakfast provided. Distance from train station is a good 10 mins walk, so be prepared. It is about 15 mins walk to the Wedded stones. Friendly reception. A note: The hotel charge 400 Yen for coffee at the lobby. Do BYO coffee if you are a coffee drinker as the roo...

our stay was great once we realized it was a love hotel. we had to get our door opened by staff when we wanted to leave the room. the free internet doesn't exist which was unfortunate as it is advertised on your site and others. The room itself was fantastic and we were looked after by the staff very well.

A spur of the moment, last-minute booking, this Ryokan was not the easiest to find, but once I arrived the English-speaking staff were very kind and accommodating. I moved from the Western style room (which I had accidentally booked) to a Japanese style room with a peaceful outlook - and exquisite dinners were served in my room. The serenity of the space and beauty of ...

We were well received by the driver of the ryokan at the JR station. All check in procedure was done swiftly and efficiently. A Taiwanese lady was arranged to take care of us throughout our 2 days stay to ensure effective communication. The 4 meals we had were professionally prepared with good variations. The place was spotless clean and the onsen was remarkable. Th...

Although we stayed at a room without a private toilet or bathroom, it did not create much inconvenience at all. The ryokan was about 3 mins walk from the train station (from memory, exit from the Platform 1 side and turn left when you walk out of the station). The staff were super-friendly and helpful, the room was very spacious, the futons were very comfortable - more...

The hotel was located near ama hut, we stayed there for a night. Mandarin speaking staff was available in the hotel. Our room was great and of good value. The private onsen was available at a reasonable price. Dinner was great and we were able to try a lot of Ise lobster dishes and sashimi.

Very good location near TSU Station. Nearby there are restaurants, convenience stores. Suitable for staying to travel to Ise Shrine. Because it takes about 30 minutes And travel to Nagoya within 40 minutes Clean room, smiling receptionist. Able to communicate in English

A beautiful hotel with the perfect mix of modern convenience and natural beauty. The food is excellent; make sure you include the dinner buffet in your booking! The public baths are a highlight, along with the starlight observatory and wonderful viewing point of Ago Bay. Take a walk in the surrounding parks, plunge into the outdoor bath, and sit down for an exquisite s...

This hostel is very easy to be located. It's just 3 mins walk away from the Ise-shi station. It's also near one of the famous shrines in Ise. However, the town is relatively small so there aren't much you can see or eat at night. The staff are very friendly. They speak English very well. You can ask them for things to do in Mie and they will be glad to help. Others t...

A new, nice and clean guesthouse with a very beautiful kitchen area. We have stayed in a private room for 4 which is clean and well-kept. Less than 10min walk to train station. A Lawson is just located round the corner across the bridge. Staff is polite and patient. We'll stay here again next time. Limited parking available at the back of guesthouse.

Having booked very short notice to do some sightseeing during a peak travel time, I was exceedingly pleased with how nice a hotel I got despite limited availability. The staff was very nice. The simple bread centric breakfast was really good. There were lots of materials in English about the hotel and he surrounding area, including a great map! There were lots of fre...

This hotel is located at seaside with prefect view. As it is very close to fishing port, the very fresh sashimi is prepared by chef during dinner. If you are willing to paid additional for the deluxe dinner, you room will be upgrade without additional paid. Both staffs have provided generous services to us.

Traditional ryokan style accommodation with both indoor and outdoor bath. The indoor bath was spacious and has a paranormal view of the Ise bay. Did not opt in for the dinner in the hotel to save a bit of the traveling cost, but looking from the menu, I could tell that it looks really good (the price as well). The breakfast was Japanese breakfast buffet style with ple...

I had a nice and relaxing visit. The area is very beautiful, and my room had a beautiful view over the bay. The hotel has Japanese massage and a nice bath, and it is very easy for a single traveller. The buffet dinner in Japanese style was interesting for a foreign visitor, but it was a bit noisy in a large dining room with many families and children.

It is a quiet small area! The room is recently renovated that very gd for onsen hotel, hot spring is spacious ! Both breakfast and dinner is very satisfied! That’s why I booked 2nd night immediately ! Highly recommended! Staffs are nice and helpful! Manager speaks fluent English
