Traveling to Tunisia? Find Nabul hotels

Balcony door would not lock it was reported but not fixed. Food was barely edible and served tepid. Ban on bringing water into the hotel is ridiculous as none was supplied in the room. Carpets in the hallway filthy. Bed sheet too small woke up to find it shifted revealing hair stuck to the mattress topper (I am bald it was not mine). TV in room was almost antique could not get a good picture. No wifi in room only in the lobby which was kept in darkness. Lightning was also poor in hallways. Safe was an added charge.

This is a large all inclusive hotel, typical of the new area of Hammamet. We did not have the all inclusive package and I am glad because the breakfast, while presenting a lot of options was not all that appealing (my girlfriend had some stomach issues that we narrowed down to the breakfast food). It's a comfortable hotel that you do not have to leave if you do not want to. The medina theme is a bit cheesy, actually extremely cheesy if you've seen a real one. On top of that, the "street" vendors inside the hotel can be annoying and pushy. Their prices are no bargain either. I guess a certain type of crowd would like this, we chose to spend most of our time outside the compound.

I stayed here for 5 nights with my friend. It was low season and the hotels in Hammamet were dead cheap. We ended up being the only guests on the hotel on 3 nights, so the service was good. The hotel is a bit run down already, but adequate if you just need a place to stay for the night. There's a pool outside and inside, and some kind of spa area (sauna) but they were not in use in the wintertime. The staff was ok.

Our stay was wonderful. We felt the comfort and great service of this wonderful 5 star hotel. There was a huge variety of food, desserts and fruits for everyone to enjoy. We felt safe going anywhere in Hammamet. I have to give special recognition to housekeeping who went out of their way to make our stay special through beautiful flower decorations of the room. This was made possible by Saoud Amri and her supervisor Mounia Hizzi. In summary, I greatly recommend this hotel. It offers superior service and has an incredible location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. I would definitely come back to El Mehari hotel and enjoy the beauty of Hammamet and Tunisia.

Rooms are smallish. There is no fridge in the room. The pool is nice. The beach is not far 5 mins walk. However, there are no changing rooms. Seats are scarce. The breakfast has also hot service (omelete and some crepe). Lunch and dinner is served but not particularly tasty. There are some inexpensive restaurants around. Hammamet center is some 10 km away. Taxis are easy to find and have meter. It costs about 4 Euro to go to the center.

Breakfast was not good, bad coffee, and very poor buffet. Rooms are clean, but I cannot say the same for the swimming pool. The panoramic elevator is broken, internet is available only in the lobby. The hotel may be old, but for a 4stars hotel one may be expecting more attention to detail, such as recuperating leaves from the swimming pool and making good coffee. Agoda issue: the hotel is in the city center, but it is actually in Hammamet South, between Hammamet and Yasmina. Taxi costs between 4 and 7 dinars to go around.

After staying in Tunis and constantly been disappointed with quality and service almost everywhere, this hotel was a welcome exception. As Tunisia is not Europe or the developed world really, you will still need to lower your expectations, but even if this hotel would not get 5 stars in Europe, it is anyhow very comfortable. I was traveling with my husband and my mother. I had made a booking for 2 nights from Friday to Sunday but the hotel had not received the booking. Luckily, I checked with the hotel since I wanted to make sure to get a quiet room. The hotel did not reply to my e-mail and I had to call the reservations 3 times before the reservations manager asked me to forward the booking confirmation to her. By the time of entering the hotel I still did not know if our booking had been received or not (the reservations manager never replied) but luckily there was a room for us and the check-in was very welcoming and smooth. The rooms are very clean and still new, best quality I have seen in Tunisia. The public areas of the hotel are decorated with great detail and thought. The hotel does not smell like tobacco like pretty much everything else in Tunisia. The staff was generally quite polite and helpful, very much so in Tunisian terms, but yet again, do not expect the same as in places famous for high quality service. The breakfast was the best that I have experienced anywhere in Tunisia. The drinks at the cafe and the pool bar food unfortunately were not good at all. We had once dinner in the Asian restaurant Bonzai. It was over priced as in hotels usually, but tasted quite good. The 2 other nights we ate in our favorite restaurant in the old Hammamet. It is a bit of a drive especially on busy weekend nights but oh so much better food and service for a lot cheaper. Despite the hick-ups related to the reservations, this is definitely best quality I have experienced in Tunisia and therefore will come back to the hotel, even if I did not like Yasmine H

We really liked our stay in the Caribbean World Borj Cedria Hotel. The hotel itself was beautiful and the availability of WiFi at the reception and the bars was really good. The only downside was that some of the staff simply does not care about their guests. It is an all inclusive restaurant, but when there is a line at the bar for the drinks, some will see it as a perfect opportunity to discuss the latest gossip or answer a phone call. The food was buffet style, but there was plenty of choice and variety. But if you are planning to go to Tunisia, I would suggest that you book a hotel in Hammamet. It's a bit further from Tunis, but that's were most of the hotels and activities are. (for all the excursions we did, we had to go to Hammamet first)

It was a horrible stay. I couldn't imagine to pay the amount of money that i paid for all inclusive again , when food was disaster . The best food was breakfast which i cannot complaint , both lunch and dinner were horrible. You don't find beef , very few chicken , you have to queue up for some grill ( just 2 very small portions of chicken or 2 small fish portions ), and the best is the pizza station , you have to wait in the queue for at least 10/15 minutes to get just 2 or 3 small portions . If you ask to get a whole pizza , they say that you cannot ! What an all inclusive it is. Rooms are not clean well , guest amenities always without them or you have to ask the cleaner to give you some. Towels are rotten and always be delivered in the afternoon. I am sorry to say that this hotel is not good value for money that i paid.

Decently located to the beach and quiet in the off season, my hotel visit was relatively ok until I trusted the hotel owner to arrange for transport back to the Tunis airport. We agreed on a fair prior and he sent me along with a friend of his who owns a taxi. Once at the Airport, the driver insisted on 5x what we agreed, then called up the hotel owner on the phone to argue with me. After 20 minutes of talking in circles, I was able to leave the cab with my luggage after paying 2x the agreed price and a promise to send the rest over Western Union. This should have been expected after being asked to pay for the same hotel room 2x because the owner kept 'forgetting' we'd already completed the transaction.

our stay at the Byblos was far from comfortable. staff gave poor excuses for turning off the hot water so we couldn't have a hot shower. the number of nights we slept at hotel was approximately 5 nights in 2 weeks. having to stay with my husbands family because of no hot water for showering. the reason they gave was we were the only people at the hotel and had to let reception know when we would be there. unacceptable. hot water is part of the service regardless of whether were there or not!we checked out after 2 weeks and they didn't give documentation stating that we had checked out. stating that manager wasnt in. also had to wait for someone who speaks English before we could voice concerns about issues. television only had one channel also. out of what was meant to be a 3 week stay at the Byblos we spent most of that time staying with family. so the Byblos got payment for the whole 3 weeks booked and we wernt even there. when asking about a refund for the last weeks stay I was told that they didnt think I would get any refund as the hotel had changed owners. poor excuses and very poor hotel. i would recommend the citrinne hotel as we stayed there one night. food lovely, booked tour for the sahara for us and staff friendly and hot water for a shower unlike the Byblos in every way
