Best hotels & accommodations in Okayama Prefecture

This hotel is located just right across the Okayama JR Station, and the tram station is just right outside the hotel door. AEON Mall, Takashimaya and Don Quijote are all within 5-8 minutes of walking distance. Room was considered quite spacious given this is Japan. We were able to fit 2 large suitcases, opened, on the floor with more than enough walking space. The room...

We got a corner room with a sofa that could be turned into an extra bed. In general room was very nice with a small entrance area and with bathroom and toilet separate (great for family), but very close. There is a small space in front of bath/toilet which can be used for luggage etc. In general very very nice compared to price and the fact that this is a Japanese hote...

Hotel Granvia Okayama is superbly situated right next to the train station so it's a great home base for tourists to go exploring the sights of Okayama as well as all the other neighboring prefectures using the Shinkansen (bullet train) or local JR trains. In my short 3.5 day stay in Okayama, I ventured to Osaka, Kure and Miyajima. Departing Okayama for my next base de...

It was the second time I stayed in Areaone hotel but this one in Okayama was slightly dusty and run down, for that price with well facilities in place and opposite to Mega Aeon mall and Donki, what to complaint nonetheless! It was a little far away from the train station but we are boys so we are ok. We travelled from Yonago, so we had lots of clothes to wash. There wa...

Everything in the room is quite new. During booking, there’s only smoking room left. Requested for non-smoking and quiet room. And I got it when I arrive. There’s toothbrush & toothpaste and 1 piece pajamas provided. It’s not too faraway to walk from Okayama station. It’s also easy to walk to Okayama Castle & Korakuen (prefer Korakuen to the castle; if you seen too ma...

We really enjoyed our stay at Centurion Hotel with an infant it was a relief to be able to roll from the JR station straight into the hotel with 10 mins. We booked a room with an outdoor patio and it was nice to be able to sleep with some fresh air coming through the windows. My only complaint was the amount of unnecessary furniture in the room and no area for luggage,...

We were given a room situated on the 8th floor and the room was very spacious and neat. The staff were very accommodating as they helped to take care of our luggage even after checking out as we wanted to visit the famous tourist sites around the area. The hotel is also strategically situated just 10 minutes away from Okayama Station and 5 minutes away from AEON mall w...

I stayed a week in Japan, and my stay at APA Hotel in Okayama was by far my best experience. The room is quite large by Japanese standards and it's just a quick walk from JR Okayama Station. When you leave the central exit (towards the foundation), hang a right and walk straight until you see the hotel on the right (it's on a corner). The bed was extremely comfortable ...

We really liked this hotel. It is in a beautiful and historic town only a short train ride from Okayama. It was very clean and modern. It offered good buffet breakfasts with food suitable to western tastes! There is a free onsen on the 9th floor and amazingly, we could use washing machines for no charge. This is a great advantage when travelling. No doubts at all in h...

Stayed 2 nights and hotel was very close to the historical quarter/canal with lots of small restaurants and bars in the back streets between the hotel and the station. Staff were friendly and inhouse coin laundry was a handy option given we'd been travelling for over a week by this stage. Excellent value for money as we only paid about US$50/night for a spacious and ...

We had a very comfortable stay in Cuore, which happened to be located in the "cuore (center)" of Kurashiki Biken Area. Within 2 minutes walk you can arrive at the famous Ohara Museum and canal area, 10 minutes walk to Ivy Square and to most of the spots in Kurashiki Biken Area. The staff are nice and welcoming. The whole hostel were decorated in an (probable) Southern ...

It been fantastic stay in ANA hotel with good staff. I leave my luggage on high speed train on way to Okayama, and the front desk manager helped me to locate the bag from loss and found center, plus send the bag back in two days before I check out; is mission impossible according to train station officer. I would say it is best hotel to stay on the town if you are trav...

Not far off the tram line from the train station, the hotel is around the corner and down the street next to the Starbucks. It was a great value, clean, with the amenities we needed. While not a luxury hotel I would not hesitate to recommend it to family or friends. I would return if ever in Okayama again. I would consider it wonderful for the price. We did not hav...

excellent location just a few minutes walk from Okayama Station. water dispenser available at the lobby that looks like a cafeteria. pyjamas available at the lobby too, in a sanitised wardrobe. but there is only 1 kind of pyjamas available (from what I saw) and it is a one piece, dress-like. room is very small (typical Japanese room size). for a 1 night stay, it was wo...

The rooms are a typical size for a business hotel so I would not recommend if you have a large suitcase or are staying for many nights. Other than that, the rooms are clean and very nice especially for such an affordable price. The hotel itself is in a great location as well. It's just across the street from the station and within walking distance of Okayama City's bi...

Hotel Excel - Okayama is situated in a very convenient position, just so handy to every thing one needs whilst visiting this beautiful city. It is surrounded by good restaurants all within walking distant, The Symphony Hall is just across the road and is well worth a visit. A grocery store that is open from 9AM until late evening has a good range of needs including f...

We booked this hotel without knowing what kind of hotel it was. It's a hotel for short stays and although it has all the amenities it's very far from Okayama. When you arrive the staff isn't visible. The room has the windows closed although you can open them. The hotel page doesn't show what the room is like. From the Niwase Station you have 20 minutes walking through ...

The hotel is about a 6-7 minute walk from the Kurashiki Station. You'll have to negotiate some stairs at the station but this place is definitely good value. The historic quarter is about 5mins by foot and it's something you have to see especially during cherry blossom season. No problems with Internet in your room and Okayama and Shikoku close by are great day trips. ...

A friend and myself traveled to Okayama and my friend doesn't like dormitory lodging. We opted for this hotel because it was within our budget. The hotel did suit our needs. Breakfast was included and that was a great start to our day. Our room also had no lingering smell and was moderately clean. The bathroom definitely had spots of mold but we've found that to be inc...

I've been here for a second time. The hotel has 2 good onsen areas one is on the basement and another is on the top floor with open air mountain scenic. The view from restaurant window and my room window is natural public onsen which is quite nice. Hotel staff are great and have very good service mind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner Japanese style were great. Japanes...

Staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming and helpful with good English. Interior decor is very stylish with the fusion of modern and traditional. Food is great. Very clean room. Nice hot spring bath. We saw a poster in the hotel for a glass-making class in the studio in the area and joined. Everything is great. Thanks a lot for the experience. Highly recommended a...

Very nice customer service here. The staffs were polite with smile and helpful. They make me have a enjoyable trip in Okayama, also I will highly recommend my friend to stay here if they want to visit Okayama. I will be traveling to Okayama again and hope to see you again in my next trip.

we had stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and we had enjoyed it. The location of the hotel is right at the heart of the tourist area. It happened that we stated in a Saturday night when the mid summer Saturday night market was held and it was in front of the hotel. The room in general was clean but the ventilation in the toilet room was not functioning. The only thin...

The hostel is about 10 minutes walk from Okayama Station. The front staff is very friendly and speaks fluent english, so communication won’t be a problem. They allow you to store your luggage at the lobby if you came early, so that’s a good thing. The room is kinda basic, and the bed is quite open (no curtains for the top deck) but it is acceptable for a place to sleep...

If you expected or knew what to expect for a capsule hotel, this place is phenomenal value. With the low price they charge, you get frequently maintained spa and clean toilets. A plethora of men's sanitary and skin and body care products is a nice touch as well. Oh. And did I mention that it is located literally a stone throw away from okayama station and bustling a...

The room was comfortable and fully equipped (having a washing machine was definitely a plus). We were welcomed by our host and were fully satisfied by our stay. I definitely recommend the place! It's 12 min away from Okayama station and 30 min from the famous gardens (walking).

This place is a couple train stops from Okayama and it is good if you want to go to Naoshima island (it's on the way to Uno). It's about 10 minutes walk from the local train station and it is advised to have a good map and directions to find it. The staff were helpful, the rooms were quite comfortable and the place is clean.

I selected this hotel because of the high score and good comments on agoda and Hotel Maira didn’t make me disappointed. The price is very cheap, the room is tidy and clean with everything you need inside. You can also enjoy free bread in the morning, free ice lolly and drinks during the whole day. Hotel Maira even provides free bicycle rental service for her custome...

The guest house is run by a couple, they are really nice and helpful. They not only helped me plan the trip and printed several transport timetables for okayami city and naoshima island, but also introduced traditional local food and delicious restaurants in Kurashiki. What's more, when I got my left foot hurt at Kurashiki, yuji-san and his wife gave me a bag of wound ...

The address in the confirmation email is for a different hotel with the same name about 20 minutes away by car (number 2). It was very frustrating driving to this one instead and being told that wasn’t the one and having to hop on the vehicle again. The one that actually is (number 1) doesn’t even show up on google maps search, only the number 2 does.

My 3rd stay at this hotel and I'll definitely be staying here next time I'm in Okayama :) Great hotel. Great staff. Great location next to JR Okayama station, very handy for those traveling by Shinkansen. Great base for anyone visiting Shikoku Island - easy day trips to Takamatsu, Matsuyama, Kochi and everywhere in between - the trains for all these places depart fro...

When I was looking for hotels for my trip to Japan, almost all the hotels were unavailable except for a few capsule hotels and this. I booked a semi-double room and a single room which comes with complimentary breakfast. Most of the reception staff do not speak English and if they do, it's very minimal. Nonetheless, they are very polite. Some might find the single...

I like this hotel chain. Always decently priced, typically convenient location, very clean, decent basic breakfast. The staff here were very patient and helpful. Room's tend to be small by western standards, but I have no complaints. I can put luggage under bed, there is a sage, a kettle, and wifi. Bathroom always clean and toothbrush /paste provided.

I have been to Japan a few times but I haven't tried to stay in this chain until this trip. The location of this one in Kurashiki is right on the main street. It is about 5 mins from the station and the Bikan Historical Quarter. After I arrived, I found out the hotel is near some hostess bars. So the hotel appeared to be a bit more crowded than I expected. The staff ...

Super clean and high-tech of the house! We stayed many places when we travel before, this house is the best of the best we ever stay! There is a big garden with the villa, so we can enjoy counting the star at night. The host can communicate in English, Chinese & Japanese. They are very nice couple who prepared foods and drinks for us! We love to stay again when we go ...
